Amazing food and amazing vibes We were here for NFL playoffs and I wouldn't want any other environment. The service was great, prices amazing and food fantastic. One of the best wings I've ever had. And the cheese curds Low key don't want to give it a five stars cause I don't want more people coming to visit. Love this place

Awesome bar vibe and great for watching football. The cheese curds are awesome. Bartenders are friendly. They have buckets of beer. Great local bar

Jerry's is the place to be for football game day or any day. Great staff, tasty fare (godly cheese curds), and immaculate vibes. Enjoy a Sunday here this season and return on Monday because you had so much fun. Go bears.

Was a great place to watch a game! They had the volume on, was pretty packed but not too big. The wings were surprisingly pretty good and nothing took too long to come out. Fun environment.

Jerry's is a great locals spot with a Midwest vibe. Everyone seems to be a regular, the food is great bar food. Best wings in town. Friendly bartenders, friendly customers, reasonable prices. Excellent spot to watch a game. Only problem is that it can sometimes be too crowded to get in and it's a little bit out of the way.

As a born and bread cheesehead, I am excited I found Jerry's. The food is great, try the curds. If you feel adventurous, try a "Pour Decision" Malort and Underberg. I know, I know. The staff is amazing, even to my boys. If I see you there, I'll buy you a Point on tap, even if you're a FIB.

This place is somewhere I literally just found out of nowhere getting off the plane. I am from Vegas and I love dive bars. The shift drink with vodka is BOMB! Ambience is on point. Morgan the chef was phenomenal with the customer service and cuisine. They hooked it up! Thanks Morgan! Jerry is a cool a** dude. And I wish this establishment many years to come. I can't wait to visit again!

Walked in for a drink, stayed for the vibes! Chill ambience, awesome bartenders, and wings that are *chefs kiss*. Feels like home (but with better drinks). 10/10 would recommended.

It's 10 a.m., and I'm sitting in Jerry's Tavern. The kind of place that feels like a refuge for the damned and the divine alike. The air smells faintly of old wood, stale beer, and something fried--a scent that whispers promises it's going to save your life tonight. And you believe it. Jerry's isn't just a bar. It's a cathedral of character, a joint so authentic you half-expect Tom Waits to walk in, mumble something poetic, and collapse into a booth. The man himself, Jerry, is behind the bar, slinging drinks like he was born for this. He's part bartender, part therapist, part shaman. He could be my dad if he wanted to, but this morning he feels like my brother--the kind who'd bail you out of jail without asking questions. And then there are the cheese curds. Dear god, the cheese curds. They're not just fried hunks of dairy--they're miracles. Golden, crispy exteriors that give way to molten, salty perfection. God made these with both hands. Pair them with a Miller bucket, and you'll forget whatever nonsense brought you here in the first place. Jerry's Tavern doesn't care who you are, where you've been, or what you've done. It's here for you. Best bar I've ever been to.

This place looks like it's been plucked directly from the Midwest and dropped in Portland's NW Industrial area. It also looks like it's been here for years, not days. It feels cozy and familiar without trying too hard. I have been following Jerry's journey for the past few years. From his condo-made tavern style pizza during the pandemic to his short stint slingin' pies at Bear Paw; I selfishly wish it was available at Jerry's Tavern. ... Those checkerboard tablecloths are practically begging for it! The cheeseburger was good. Hamm's on tap was cold. I will visit often.

First time trying this place. Heard the wings were pretty good and had to try them out. Wings were amazing. Buffalo sauce was just right IF you can handle spicy food. If not, may have a few drinks before ordering them. Service was fast and friendly. Great selection of music. People were awesome. Legend has it Jerry himself comes to the bar from time to time. ONLY area of improvement is their ranch. If you like ranch with your wings, you may want to bring your own.

Best bar west of Chicago. I've lived all over California and the west coast after growing up in Cleveland and Chicago. The chicken wings are fantastic (Bird's Nest, Winking Lizard-esque - if you know the references). The atmosphere brings you back to Racine & Belmont mixed with the Northwoods. Jerry came by with his daughter to check on us and make sure our group was ok. Amazing wings, cheese curds and more. My favorite bar on the west coast.

Was very surprised with how good the wings were, particularly the Buffalo. The burger/slider was also nice and worth it. The fry on wings was fantastic. Didn't try the dip as usually don't with my wings. They mainly show bears and packers games so if looking for another game while those are going on then might be sol. They actually come to your table for service and are great (Jerry was actually our server for the first half we were there). Not your normal portland "service" which was awesome to experience again. Is a smaller place but they have a couple tvs outside with sidewalk seating however if going for a packers or bears game then probably need to get there early, we showed up right after one so were all good but they were sold out of modelo especial (plenty of other choices to choose from). A very nice and welcome addition to the Portland fabric.

The owner posted this before a game ‍ seems awfully petty and pretentious

Is Jerry’s Tavern wheelchair accessible? We’d love to go but my husband is wheelchair bound.

Yes they are wheelchair accessible. I tried to post a picture but failed. If you go on their instagram they have a photo of the entrance with 3 guys dressed up as Cows(Wisconsin roots), and it's flat. They need to add that feature to their site.…

They are genuinely happy. I've been here maybe a dozen times in the last two years, and the serving crew is always top notch. The cocktails are consistently great too. So, that goes a long way for repeat business! The food is usually excellent, and a recent brunch was outstanding (see pics). Occasionally, there has been a near miss with too much salt on the Brussels sprouts or other minor infraction like that. All in all, it has displaced Serrato as my "go to" to meet up with friends. I've only eaten outside, so I have no idea what the inside experience is like. Outside, it's a sheltered patio with heaters if needed and a few small tables against the building as well. Bonus for this area in general is that it's a great place to walk around and window shop, and it's relatively close to the Japanese and Rose Gardens (by car).

That said, my experience wasn't perfect. I was accidentally charged the wrong price for my Mexican lager, and it was difficult to get the bartender's attention to have it corrected. It was a busy afternoon since it was the holiday weekend and the day before the Fourth of July, so I understand they had a lot going on. Overall, I still enjoyed my visit and think it's a charming place. I just hope the pricing is a little more accurate and the service is a bit more attentive next time.

Parking in NW isn't the easiest but it says something that everyone in my group found parking within the same block. It is a pretty busy part of town, lots of foot traffic, and lots of traffic traffic. Buses and ambulances and police cars. It reminded me a bit of these old books I read as a kid, Richard Scarys Busy World (iykyk). Anyway, back to the bar - there is a decent amount of seating outside as well as indoors. The server promptly brought us menus and, although everything has to be ordered at the bar, he still comes by several times while we ate dinner and had drinks out front. My friends order Fish & Chips, and I'm told they are some of the best in the area. Everything was crispy and well seasoned. I got the taco salad with came with the house chili instead of taco meat - it is really pretty good! I even get a side of extra chippies to go with my meal. The portion was a little skimp, I think, considering most of this dish consists of lettuce. If only they would add more to it and turn this sucker into a big ole dish, this salad could be awesome! The drinks were good, not measured but not poured with a super heavy hand like some other places I know.

The interior is attractive and very modern, and there is a large covered and heated patio if you prefer to sit outside (we did). The service was a little bit slow, but not egregious and the server was very friendly. The menu is not extensive, but it has good variety and everything on it looked excellent. All of their ingredients seem high-quality, and they have a number of gluten-free and vegetarian offerings. I ended up getting the eggs benedict, which came with a little salad. The salad was fresh, not wilted, and came with a light vinaigrette. The eggs benedict was absolutely stellar-- perfectly poached eggs, creamy hollandaise, and grilled halloumi to give some well-received brine to the bite, all atop an english muffin. For the price point and the quality, the portions are good. My one wish was that I could have subbed my salad for some of their potatoes! My partner got the pork belly hash, and thought that the potatoes were cooked perfectly-- crispy and well-seasoned. He did notice that there were only a few pieces of pork in the dish, but we chalked this up to the ingredient quality. We ended up staying for Happy Hour, which was fun! We got the fries with garlic aioli (so good!) and I ordered their daily cocktail special, a margarita. They gave me a good, heavy, pour, which is always appreciated. Great brunch spot if you want to go somewhere a little chic.

We were seated immediately, but waited a short while for our order to be taken. They seemed quite busy. The dessert menu takes up a whole page. You can see many items in the front case when you walk in. There were at least 10 gluten free options, all clearly marked on the menu. All looked delicious and the decision was difficult for once. My dad had the mango black tea panna cotta and I went for the raspberry gateau. The panna cotta had great flavor. Subtle on the tea, strong with the mango. A generous portion but light enough that it could be finished. The raspberry gateau was rich and chocolatey. The raspberries were a necessity to add dimension to the dish. I recommend this location for celebrations, evenings out, or for a sweet treat just because. Everything is clean and it feels fancy and special without being overly exclusive. Our water glasses sat empty for most of the meal and were never refilled once. The waiter was inattentive, rarely checked on our table, and seemed completely uninterested in providing even the most basic level of customer service. We spent more time waiting than actually enjoying our meal. And you expected tip for your service? What a joke!!!!!! For the prices charged, this level of service is inexcusable. A restaurant can survive a mistake, but it shouldn't fail at the fundamentals of hospitality. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had, and it completely ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening.
