We have been coming to Wilkin's for years and since new owners have taken over it's terrible. Order pizzas as that's the only food that's amazing. Tonight we order pizza like usual, was told 40 minutes. Went to pick it up and arrived right at 40 minutes, and they said we are just putting it in now. Wait another 10-15 minutes. When checking back 15 minutes later, got told it wasn't even started and it'll be another 30 minutes. No sorry, no offer or credit or discount. Rude unhappy servers. Owners are no where to be found. Since new owners staff has openly said cooks have quit, they only have 1 cook and owners are making a lot of changes to save a buck. We are so disappointed as there are very minimal good restaurants in the area. New owners need to actually be there and turn this place around back to what it used to be, went downhill within 2 months. read more

Arrived when wasn't too busy on a Saturday but ticket time was atrocious. Took forever to get food and brought out appetizers with our dinner, wasn't a server issue. Bartender seemed hammered. Food was mediocre. read more

Pros: pull up dock for your boat and gas if you need it. We had a great waitress who shared that the fish fry was not liked by the guests. I truly appreciate the transparency. Cons: The food was terrible. Despite the waitress's recommendation on the fish fry my hubby ordered it and it was bad, small pieces and zero flavor. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap and it was also bland, mostly lettuce and not much else. It was also small in size compared to other local venues and both of us received a skimpy size portion of fries. The drinks, I ordered the Paloma with Patron, it was not Patron.Also, there was zero grapefruit flavor. Don't order this. My husband had a Summit and we were happy to see they had it on tap as most WI places do not have it. We both ordered another round, 2 Summits, and he received his 10-15 later after he was done with his meal and she said she only had one because they were changing the tap. Overall experience, great waitress but food (fair warning on the fish fry) and drinks were poor. There are other places nearby that you can get good food and drinks. We really wanted to love this place because we live within 30 minutes. read more

Simply amazing. The view of Bone Lake is the star of the show, but the food and the people make it great. I had the Bone Lake burger and a Spotted Cow. The burger is two patties of normal sized one patty burger. About 12 ounces of meat. I ate the entire thing. I just couldn't stop it was so good. The server even said she couldn't believe I ate the entire thing. The chef said it's all in the secret sauce. He's not fibbing. It was great. Spotted Cow on tap was nice and refreshing. After all of that, I went home for a nap with my food triplets. A great find on a lake outside of Luck, WI. We will be back! read more

The highlight of the meal was the baked potato and goulash.as well as the double chocolate brownies. The fried fish (Buffett) was cold and chewy and the baked fish wasn't much better unfortunately. The salad bar had potential but lacked enough options to choose from. The server was well-meaning but needed more training in customer service. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

2 stars for the nice location. The 4 of us got there and seated ourselves with no waitress in sight. Waited 25 minutes sitting there until we got up and found someone to help us. Finally got someone to give us menus and waited another 10 mins before we got to order our drinks, then finally our food. It was a Saturday night, so I'll give some leeway but this is a popular place and they should have more staff to make it more pleasant for their customers. Service is not very good and the food is ok for being out in the sticks. Overall a nice location right next to Bone Lake, and they can get away with poor service due to lack of competition, but wouldn't choose to come here again. read more

If you're looking for a Wisconsin townie/lake resort bar with Heggies pizza, this is it! Our bartender was clad in GB Packer garb from head to toe. We stop at Wilkins every time we're at bone lake. Their food selection is great, and we always enjoy "Sunday fun day" out on the patio.

Was excited to see new owners put life back in the bar/Restaurant. Did a nice job with cosmetics on the exterior. Interior, not impressed. Have gone twice to eat, once with a group of 10. No better quality in food them before. Typical bar food, greasy spoon, appears all store bought and deep fat prepared. Owners need to visit other local restaurant establishments for comparison. Why is their parking lot not as packed as other bar/restaurants in the area. Great potential, but start over. My guests were not impressed, and we will travel several miles for a better choice. read more

New owners does not necessarily mean change for the better!!! My husband and sister stopped in for beer and I had wine. The prices have sky rocketed and the change in staff - not so good. The remodel is very nice, and the new mansion just across the creek makes for nice scenery along with the lake. BUT...the old owners (Don and Tammy) had live bands and there was no cover. The new owners have a DJ and mysteriously the prices almost double on everything to pay for while the DJ is playing! Not a live band - a DJ! A cheep tap pitcher of beer- $12.00. ARE YOU SERIOUS! A 6 oz. glass of pre-measured wine $5.50. The one and only sized pizza is not homemade but has a pre-made crust - for $16.99!!! No way - I want the world to know this is baloney! And to top this off - most of the waitresses do not want to serve on the patio because they don't like mosquitoes. We miss Tammy and Don and the old staff who knew their stuff. Oh by the way - the new ownership is now making their own potato chips - these are the most disgusting things I have tasted in the past 5 years.
