These guys made sure we had all the right paperwork since North Richland Hills is very particular about fences especially on a corner home and worked to ensure we were following all the right rules and regulations beforehand. When we told him we'd like to use his company back in March, he said he'd "put us on the schedule" but refused to give us a date. Asked how long it would be, he said his crew would definitely be out in the "next few weeks." A week and a half later, we still didn't have a date, so we reached out. No reply. We sent him text messages at the number he was texting us on before. Nothing. We left voicemails. Radio silence. About four weeks after we told him we'd like them to build our fence, we sent one last text letting him know we were going to hire somebody else. Finally, he replied. Sorry, he said, he was out of town without his work phone, we are now on the schedule, they would be out "as soon as possible," etc. Okay, fine, let's do it. Hiring somebody else would have taken a while anyway and we needed to get the fence up so we could plant our garden before the heat of summer. We ask for a date again... No response. My wife and I were both busy, but we chased him around for another couple of weeks before calling it quits. Meanwhile, two months have gone by and it's probably too hot now to plant the garden we were building the fence around, even if we could get another fence guy to do the job tomorrow. Extremely frustrating. Shan seemed very competent and friendly when he came out for the estimate, but this has been one of my worst experiences with any kind of contractor. We called a few people out for quotes and also explained our…read moreconcerns with having a dog and having a huge slope in our yard and not wanting a big gap like we've seen with other gates and doors in yards that have big slopes. So Blake came up with a solution that gives us a pretty large door to get my husband's truck in and out of without an ugly gap at the bottom. We did splurge on the gates and the doors so that we could get a design that we like (we are big fans of the star/Americana style). So our gates and our doors were custom-made. We also went with the board on board fence because it just looks nice. And we went with exposed post. Our neighbor down the street has exposed posts and it just looked really good. Really glad we didn't go with the standard Fence we are so happy with the finished product and it's something we love looking at every single time we drive up to the house
