Had a terrible experience today at Will County Company. Don't frequent this business!!! I needed to sell my in-laws silver to help with their medical bills. The owner, Tisch, provides me with his estimate for the items I brought in. I was not disputing his price, but Tisch felt it necessary to demonstrate why such a low price was being offered. Without asking he proceeded to peel back the silver plating on one of the pieces. He crushed the seem of the base and tore the silver, destroying the piece. Tisch made no offer to compensate me for the damage to my item. The way this man chooses to run his business and treat his customers is reprehensible. Do yourself a favor and look to another establishment. read more

I brought in a watch that was given to me new as a graduation present in 1976. Proprietor tells me that the wristband is older than the watch when it's the original band. Also brought in an Elgin sidewinder pocket watch. He says that the dial was replaced with a watch dial and that the dial was set in it wrong--the #12 is supposed to be at the stem and not the #3. If that was the case, then all the sidewinder watches listed on Ebay are wrong. read more
