    Sunchoke ice cream
    Leslie F.

Willa is fantastic!! Ambience is warm and inviting, food is excellent and the service is great. Their cocktails are creative and delicious. The sunchoke ice cream, though, is next-level. It doesn't look like much, but it was the best dessert I've had in years! So unusual. It's a must-try. Willas is an excellent hangout, or place to go before/after a movie. They are a shining light in the Millerton dining scene (and beyond)!

    A welcome addition to Millerton!

The local Ambiance is warm and inviting, the service friendly and the menu original and creative with fresh seasonal, farm to table produce. They really go the extra mile and it is a welcome addition to the area! The smash burger is as delicious as I've ever tried! Hats off to the owners and team for this wonderful addition to the area!!

We continued inside and found the bar area. We saw that there was a group at a table. So, we continued inside and sat down. The staff is very nice, but very slow. The menu is very interesting. We ordered the spicy sausage with fig appetizer (This was the star of the show! we got another order!) 2 orders of butternut squash soup and grilled octopus for apps to share. We also requested more bread and were served fresh baked rolls that were so good! We ordered the pistachio crusted pork chop and shrimp risotto for entrees. The 2 people that ordered butternut squash soup were a split decision on it. One loved it the other hated it. I tried it. I thought it tasted really good but i don't think i could eat a whole bowl of it. It was too sweet. The Octopus was excellent! The Spicy sausage with fig was amazing. This is a definite thing to order. The pistachio crusted pork chop was very good. I didn't love the risotto. If i'm ever in the area and have a lot of time to sit and eat, I would definitely come back.

The rooms are each unique and comfortable and the toiletries fantastic! The restaurant is not to be missed either--food is excellent, portions good especially for the price, and the service friendly and accomodating. It's cozy without being too dated or chintzy, a tricky balance for many inns. Every room has a fridge, which may not show up in the room descriptions online. Above all, it's the rare hotel where you really feel like the stay was a great value for your money. My only suggestions would be brighter lighting in the rooms, more varied coffees with breakfast (hard to suggest when Irving Farm is steps away, though!), and maybe extra blankets in each room during the colder months. Above all, it's a great place for people of all ages and needs to stay and enjoy the region!

Something about the building is familiar. An old McDonald's building, painted & reimagined. But the shape, the floors match the McDonald's from the memory of your youth. They've upgraded the vibe to be "upscale fast food", comfortable & chic booths, a beautiful fireplace I'd love to cozy up near in the winter, a stunning bathroom. The menu is calculated, purposeful: local ingredients from farms & local suppliers listed on a chalkboard, seasonal elements utilized to create fresh, mindful meals. There's a burger, a chicken sandwich, mushroom melt, steak, seasonal salads. Their burger is juicy, well-structured, perfectly seasoned. Their tallow fries are the perfect amount of crisp and fluffy interior, truly delicious--a hand cut fry that fast food could nevahhhh accomplish. We loved the grilled peach, heirloom tomato & burrata salad. It was fresh, drizzled with balsamic and oil, peppered with togarishi. There were three workers there: all of whom greeted us warmly, made us feel like family. You can watch the chef, Nate, whipping up your food right behind the counter, locked in and serious about providing you with a supreme experience. Austin, one of the owners, rolled out the dough used for the fresh buns. We witnessed the makings of our meal, every step, right in front of our eyes. My only complaint is I don't live in millerton, and I know I will crave this meal time and time again. I wish I could be right down the road, when a burger craving consumes me. But trust that I will be back to visit & to try their other seasonal options, as well as breakfast and dinner. Thank you team for a wonderful experience!

Since we were driving from Cambridge to Egremont -- about three hours -- to celebrate a special occasion with friends who live nearby, we called to ask whether they could make an exception. The manager gladly did. A few hours before the reservation, however, the OWNER called and brusquely informed us that they do not take reservations for parties of four and that "maybe they could accommodate us," before launching into an unnecessary lecture about their 5+ policy -- essentially cancelling our reservation. Why do that to your customers? Unfortunately, it didn't stop there. When we arrived, he was again rude and dismissive, seating us at a tiny table in the corner of the bar that was clearly too small for dinner. Thankfully, the manager stepped in, rescued the evening, and moved us to the main dining room, where we ended up having a wonderful night with our friends. She also checked in throughout the evening to make sure our experience improved, and her professionalism genuinely turned things around. As for the food: we ordered the Smoked Fish Pate appetizer, the Grilled Salmon, and the Artichoke and Goat Cheese Ravioli. The pate was exceptional -- layered, balanced, and memorable. The salmon was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and refreshingly not buried under heavy marinades. The ravioli was also excellent. Dessert was a rich chocolate cake that capped off an otherwise delightful meal. The decor, service, and overall comfort were all A+. This easily could have been a five-star evening, but the owner's unjustified hostility convinced me that this is not a place I would return to.
