Most of them were large practices and had Yelp reviews in the 2- and 3-star range. San Marcos Modern Dentistry was one of about two or three that had 4-star reviews. When I called to make an appointment, the receptionist explained the insurance procedure very clearly, letting me know what I needed to do next. She answered all my questions with patience and friendliness. My first appointment was really positive. Everyone on the staff from the ladies at the front counter to the hygienists to Dr. Aldaz were very caring, friendly, and professional. Everything was completely explained to me - what my X-rays and scan revealed, the treatment proposed, the cost, etc. I ended up having three temporary crowns placed by Dr. Aldaz at that appointment which was late on a Monday afternoon. She placed the permanent crowns at an early morning appointment on Wednesday less than 48 hours later. I have never had such quick turnarounds on crowns. These are fabricated in house, so they are much quicker than being sent to a lab. In addition to all the positive features of this practice, what impressed me greatly was the CBTC scanner. It revealed a deep cavity almost reaching to the bone that I had no idea that I had. If I had not had it taken care of at this visit, I probably would have had to have had a root canal which I certainly do not ever want. This cavity was a shock because I had just had bite wing X-rays taken and an exam by the new dentist who had taken over the practice of my retired dentist. She told me that everything was fine at that time. In my opinion, it is important to choose a dentist that performs the CBTC scans as they apparently reveal much more than the customary digital X-rays. My former dentist did not have such a scanner. They also have a periodontist on staff so if further procedures are necessary, they can be done in house. At this point, I feel that Dr. Aldaz is the best dentist for me that I could ever find. My feeling was that every person on the staff was truly committed to giving each patient the very best care possible. This is a business that serves everyone who walks through the door and who calls on the phone. It is very unusual to find this nowadays. Everyone there made me feel as if I were their most important patient. I believe you will be highly satisfied if you check them out. If you are looking for an excellent dental practice that truly wants the best for you, give them a call!

I recently scheduled another appointment to be seen specifically by her. When I arrive the woman at the front desk says "we've been trying to get ahold of you. The dentist wont be in until 10 AM" My appointment was at 830 AM. What? The front desk women says "Didn't you get my message?" The only correspondence I have is one voicemail. I present it to her and it's for insurance verification regarding payment and nothing more. I asked why didn't they cancel my appointment. "Oh we can't do that" They knew they couldn't fulfill my appointment and allowed me come in knowing the dentist wouldn't be in. No emails, no messages in the patient portal. Only a voicemail that was allegedly left that I don't have. She then runs in the back to see if someone else can take care of me. She returns saying another dentist I've never met with who's new to the office will take my appointment. No, thanks. I specifically scheduled and requested Yaseri. She's not here so I'm outta here. They managed to waste my morning and my travel time both getting there and now on the return home. I guess Yaseri could care less on top of all this. I sent a message directly to her and absolutely no response after five days. Time to locate a new dentist.

Been going to Dr Davoudi for over 10 years and have spent more money there on my terrible teeth…read morethan I've spent on buying my car. I bought a mouth guard for $450 out of pocket and it came back too tight, no problem, but at the time the office said oh sorry we are out of cases for it-- we will get it next time. $450 and they hand it to me in a baggie. Anyway a couple weeks later I'm diagnosed with cancer and explain I have chemo so I can't come for dental work for awhile but would like to pick up the mouth guard....they once again hand it to me in a baggie and say oh sorry, we will get you the case next time. I explained I can't come back for 6 months due to having cancer and chemo and was kind of shocked to once again not be given a case for this expensive mouth guard I paid out of pocket for, after being a client for 10 years and maxing out my benefits every single one of those ten years and they can't be bothered to give me a case when I have cancer and need my mouth guard to be CLEAN?? Like should I just keep it in the baggie then? Not going back, finding a new dentist with some support and awareness of their patients.

Well they could not get the first tooth out completely ( even with x-rays) and my son was in so much pain they had to stop and refer him to an Oral Surgeon. so he missed a weeks work for nothing then after healing up we had to start over with a proper oral surgeon. What a pain in the aine After another week of missed income they charged him full price on the one attempt and botched up wisdom tooth removal. The billing department was rude mean and learned their trade in the used car world. What's next is that I have a family full of insurance adjusters and medical doctors to guide me. This place constantly kept canceling our appointments and over booking clients leaving us to change our appointments not once but twice. They have no care for what you would like. Get this....if you don't answer the phone in time and they have to leave a voicemail on the day before your appointment, they will cancel you and make you reschedule for a different day. They say there should be reminder text messages that go out but we never received one. Just a complete disappointment in this place.

The staff including the Doctor were very kind and personable. I did not need to ask how much the options were they were forthright in explaining that up front. No surprises. They even provide sunglasses to protect your eyes from the bright light that is used. All of the equipment is top of the line and there was really no delays waiting to be seen or during the exam. Recommend you get an estimate in writing! He is untrustworthy.
