    Fitness room at Franklin building

I organized my work user meeting conference with this facility. They are one really busy conference center! We toured the place twice and yes although it is quite isolated and surrounded by multi million dollar homes, I really like the grounds and quite peaceful. They offer free parking and it can be a challenge to find parking close to the buildings. Hence you may have to park way out in the front parking lots. The hotel rooms I will say are tiny. The single rooms fits a double bed and that's about it. At lease it has a desk, tv, and private bathroom. This place was originally built as a convent for nuns, so I can see why the rooms are small. Nice fitness room inside the Franklin building with an indoor pool too. Dining options are just two: Osgood restaurant that serves buffet style breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I've eaten the lunch buffet and they have at least three stations for hot food, that makes the line go fast. Make sure to grab your table first, then get your food. It gets crowded! Don't forget their great dessert buffet. You can easily put on the pounds here. The other is Pony Express Bar and Grill. It's a huge place. Last call for food is 10:30 and has pool tables and shuffleboard. For conferences, they also have snack rooms that are well stocked for both AM and PM snacks. I haven't used the hotel shuttle but I know you have to make reservations to use it. It starts after 5, as this place is aimed at conference guests, not leisure guests. I wouldn't hesitate at all in booking my venue here again. For the money and value, you can't beat it.

We came here for my husband's work convention. They had a spouse/family night for us last night. They provided the good which was very good. We didn't have dinner at the bar/restaurant here. We were told it's very expensive.and I read about it online as well. We went ahead and tried breakfast. It's a buffet. Not to expensive. The food was really good. Lots of choices. The staff was very nice. And they accommodated is well. The room is very small. Lol. We aren't used to small rooms when we go out of town. But the bed was very comfortable. The shower worked great. The a/c kept us very comfortable ( we like cold rooms). We have no complaints. We got a good price for our room because of the postal service. (my hubby's work)

The Bolger is everything that the National Training Center would ever wish to be. Located in Potomac MD, it is well landcaped, almost luxurious, and it engenders more of a retreat and study feeling than a stark bootcamp like it's western competitor. The rooms at the Bolger, although small, are very well appointed and useful. They are located in the vicinity of the Main Building, an art-deco looking large classroom building that also houses the dining area. Near the lodging facilities, a bar and pool table serves to pass the time. There is also a complete gym facility with an olympic pool and weight rooms in the North Building. A mile-and-a-half running track compliments the expansive, well kept grounds. There are a myriad of break stations, constantly restocked with snacks, fruit, coffee, juices and yogurt. And oh yes, the dining area also has a Lavazza espresso stand. An optimum place for a retreat or a conference.

So I really want to like staying here. They do have a mile and a half jogging trail, a good gym with both cardio and weights, and a indoor pool which I appreciate. However, the customer service has been atrocious and just downright rude which appears to be because the center is still run by the Postal Service, a federal agency. So I believe they're not treating us like normal hotel guests but victims of government contracts. I miss IHG hotels. I always got the feeling they wanted us happy even though we were obviously government employees. And I will say the buffets at Osgood's restaurant have been fabulous. Lots of great diversity and food quality however they are very strict in between meal times. There is a business center Open 7 AM to 5 PM I have not used yet and my colleagues said they're often randomly closed as has been the pool. I need to ship some books home so I'll give it a try later and change my rating if the customer service improves. I'll be staying here three weeks for work. My main issue has been with using your shuttle service. There's a free shuttle that goes between the center and the mall and CVS and in the metro from 5 PM to 10 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to? On weekends. I was told originally it was good till 10 PM on the weekends but now the staffTold me it ends earlier without giving me a stated time. The history lessons are pretty cool as nuns used to live and study here. Afterwords postal service employees train here similar to a college experience. I like the history. The rooms are shockingly small however it makes sense for when the nuns used to live there. I can put up with that if customer service was better. There are ice machines and washers and dryer's at the end of most hallways that are a dollar in quarters. There is a small shoppette at by the front desk. There are tennis courts and basketball hoops in the corner next to the jogging trail. Let me be specific. I've only had issues with the front desk staff. The staff in the dining rooms and housekeeping have been excellent. And the property is quite beautiful and in the famous expensive neighborhood of Potomac which apparently is one of the wealthiest in the country. I hope the stay gets better & more predictable. The bar with games has been closed & being remodeled.

This is a long-owed review for our wedding at the Bolger Center in October 2019. We were very pleased with our experience and everything turned out well. Special kudos to our sales manager Ricky who was our point of contact and he coordinated with his event management team and the catering team to deliver a great event! Ricky was friendly, patient, accommodating, and professional from our first visit till even after our wedding. He was very responsive to my enquirers and always trying to help and address our concerns and anxieties. He was proactive and polite when he was trying to remind us of different action items throughout the planning stage. He carefully took notes and accommodated to our tastes and requests during the tasting session with my parents, which happened the day after my birthday, and he was so courteous that he even prepared a small gift for me. From two weeks before the big day, we made several trips to drop off things and equipment, walk through the venue, test the lighting, audio and projector in the Stained Glass Hall, and go through with Ricky as well as my day of coordinator about the set up at the reception and cocktail areas. Given my work schedule, I was only able to come afterwork (after 6pm), and Ricky was willing to stay late at work to accommodate my visits. He even helped us (and our helper friends) to unload the heavy equipments and took them into the venue. I can go on and on praising about Ricky. The property and venue are spectacular, we had the cocktail outdoor and right outside of the Oswald building, and dinner reception in the Stained Glass Hall. We're so pleased with the amount of space that were given and the Stained Glass Hall is so beautiful (love the high-ceilings and the lighting with the color of our choice). Ricky also accommodated our request to give us a private lounge outside of the overland room (with a couch) to hold our Chinese Tea Ceremony. We were most pleased with the food (both the selections of hor'd oeuvres during the cocktail hour and the three-courses dinner). We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our guests! Catering staff were attentive and professional. Hotel staff and security were friendly and courteous. You may wonder what took off one star from my review? Two things: first, we expressed very high interest after my initial visit but my fiance back then was out of town so I wanted to wait for him to come back and take a look before we sign the contract, so we told Ricky to place a soft hold for us and check with us before he release it. However, there seemed to be some miscommunication among different sales manager that another sales manager rented out the Stained Glass Hall until late in the afternoon (like 5:45pm), we were devastated at first as we love the property! Deciding between looking for another venue just 6 months before our wedding and pushing for a late dinner reception to 7pm (glad that we had our wedding ceremony else where earlier), we chose the later. At the end, we were so glad that the flipping of the room from the previous event to our dinner reception was seamless and well-managed. However, it caused us a lot of anxiety! The other thing that let us down was the billing department. The accounting supervisor was kind of intimidating which gave me a feeling of collecting agency. First, I received a bill of the first deposit (almost a quarter of the total) to be paid even before we signed the contract. Then when they needed the security code of my credit card to process the payment, they left a voicemail and emailed me that "the deposit is due today". It happened that I was traveling and was on a 17 hours flight and didn't see the email or got the voicemail in time. Which made me so panic as I've never missed any payment my entire life! So, upon my arrival with jetlag I couldn't rest but had to call long-distance and email immediately to explain the circumstance and process the payment. Why didn't they contact me earlier for the complete payment information and give me more lead time to respond? Nevertheless, these glitches were tempered by the beautiful venue and the good food, together with the professionalism of Ricky, who was so pleasant to work with, overall, we had a memorable wedding reception at Bolger Center. We're glad that we decided to go with Bolger to celebrate the most important day of our life!

This feedback was extremely organized, step-by-step commentary on every item on which I reported, good or bad, as was the case for the other reviews. Similarly, a day before checking in to the CAMbria, I got a text from "Cam" checking with me in advance. My big question... at what point will an actual human act on my comments? Original review begins here: I had planned to stay at a Cambria hotel in the DC area for a few days, redeeming points. There were several from which to choose. The Rockville Cambria had the most reasonable cost (points or dollars), and the lowest daily parking rate. It was also very convenient to the Red Line of the Metro, which allowed for travel to and from the area. The parking garage was adjacent to the hotel, with easy in/out access at no charge. My room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. While I could get the room quite dark at night, the bathroom door had a large, frosted window, so if someone else in the room used the bathroom at night, the light from the bathroom still lit up the room. Noise could be an issue. I occasionally heard conversations elsewhere. My room also overlooked the street, and at various times at night, any outside activity could easily be heard. If noise bothers you, consider asking for a higher numbered room on any floor - they appear to be "around the corner, so to speak, and possibly quieter. The is a restaurant/bar area, though I did not have any food or drink at the hotel during my stay. Many places to eat, drink, or shop are within walking distance. The one issue I had is that the hotel appears to be low on "Do Not Disturb" signs. On my last night at the hotel, someone in another room on the floor stole the one from my door. I asked for another, but the gentleman at the front desk said none were available, though I would not be disturbed, because maid service will not happen unless requested (which was true). My stay here was enjoyable, and I would definitely return.

The lobby is busy, but very clean and staff are always at the desk and available. Overall , the staff were amazing and very accommodating. Once we arrived and checked in I realized that the bathroom had a tub and not a step in shower. I booked based on pictures online, so I was pretty sure that the bathroom had a step in shower that my mom would be able to use. However, upon entering the room, I noticed a tub. I went back down to the desk and asked if there was any way possible to switch to a room with a step in shower to accommodate my mom. The young lady at the desk said "yes, of course! I want to make sure that we can accommodate you." Although they were at high occupancy and it was a busy weekend, our room was changed in less than two minutes. No additional questions, no attitude, just excellent customer service. They had me there. Next up, the room. Extremely clean, smelled fresh, no moldy smell or loud air conditioning unit. We had a suite with a king bed and sofa pull out couch which was perfect for our needs. Rooms could use an update but are in great condition. Smart tvs in bedroom and living room, desk area, bathroom with pocket door between toilet/shower area and sink, mini fridge, microwave. The breakfast is also included and had a huge variety...omelette station, bacon, sausage, roasted potatoes, bagels, toast, waffles, yogurt, assorted fruits (green apples, pears, oranges), oatmeal and toppings. Dining staff were on it and replaced food quickly. They cleared tables quickly and wiped them down for the next guests. Everything was hot and fresh. We also had tickets for an afternoon reception with drinks and a snack but didn't get a chance to use them since we were at the hospital during the day. Another staff who worked in the dining area, Ms. Miriyam, was so kind and compassionate to my mom. So kind, in fact, that I will be writing a separate acknowledgment of her outstanding customer service. I only have one complaint. The parking situation is not ideal. There is a parking lot located behind the hotel and parking is limited and pretty tight. Also, a limited number of handicap parking is available near the elevators. Parking is $24/day. If you're bringing someone who uses a wheelchair, it may be helpful to let them out directly in front of the hotel/lobby area and then park unless your lucky enough to get handicap parking near the elevator. I wish I had taken pictures of the room, but it was just such a busy weekend and I forgot ! We're looking forward to bringing our family member here for a staycation once he is well enough. Thank you to the staff at Hilton Embassy Suites Bethesda for making our stay extremely comfortable and making a stressful time for our family a bit easier.

I was on the fence to book this place given its hefty price tag, and glad I went for it and completely agree with the glowing 5 star reviews. The bubbly host Manisha is very warm and welcoming. She cordially gave us a 20 min tour around the property, which was built in 1908, and even gave me a bonus tour of the other rooms afterwards. She kindly answered all of our questions and didn't rush us. The Peacecock Room is the most spacious and best room (aside from the bridal suite), elaborately decorated in peacocks. We loved it! The little touches like the handmade soap, a set of wine glasses, and a wine opener made the stay so memorable and special. While the rooms aren't temperature controlled, the electric flameless fireplace kept the room warm. The double capacity jacuzzi was perfect for my hubby and I and even had lights (some of the other rooms have smaller jacuzzi, so be sure to check). The rooms were clean minus a couple of lady bugs and stink bugs (which is too be expected out in the country). Dr. Fauci's assistant stayed here and Manisha informed us of the extensive sanitation process, even the pillows and decorations are quarantined for 6 days! The backyard is well groomed and really spacious with a nice patio and heat lamp, which kept us warm sitting outside in the frigid winter. Our dog loved running around! You can see the stars and constellations really well. It would make a great wedding venue! The Christmas decorations around the property are really nice. The owners really go the extra mile and put a lot of TLC into the property. The 6 course breakfast is delicious and bursting with flavor. Between the veggie quiche, cheesy potatoes, scone, pancakes, yogurt, and fresh OJ, I was stuffed! The fresh butterscotch scone was divine and devoured my mine and my hubby's! The cheesy potato had a nice spicy kick. Everything was so fresh and delicious. All the courses come out at once on a large tray. While my hubby and I chose to sit at the communal table (the chairs are roughly 6 feet apart), you can take the tray up to your room. Manisha and her family greeted us and thoroughly explained the dishes and chatted with us for a bit, even her son made an appearance! The bed and breakfast has a nice bar with wine, cider, and alcohol based on an honor code system. Water and soda is complementary, they even had Coke 0! The complementary fudgy brownies by the breakfast area during the day were sweet and tasty. Again the little complimentary stuff gives this bed and breakfast a nice resort feel. Very relaxing stay and looking forward to coming back!

Owned by the Montgomery County Parks, the manor house is separated into various rooms, which we loved, but can prove to be a bit complicated when having to move people around in the house. This is a "do it yourself" type of venue, which can save you a ton of money because you can bring in whatever you want, but means that either you or a wedding coordinator need to organize outside vendors with the staff at Rockwood. There is no onsite wedding catering available, but several caterers available in the area. We recommend Stone Soup catering! Their food is delicious and they know the venue well! One huge bonus to Rockwood is that all of the tables, chairs, ceremony chairs, etc. are included in the price! That will save you a bunch because all you will need is linens. For a bit of a description, there are three rooms on the top level (we had a bar, appetizers, Photo Booth), a side brick floor veranda (where we had dancing), and a large banquet hall with a catering kitchen and large refrigerators for storage. We brought our own nonalcoholic and alcoholic beverages, which saved us thousands of dollars. There are several gorgeous outdoor areas where you can hold a ceremony, including a stone patio in the back or a gazebo on the side of the manor. Above all, it is EXTREMELY affordable for the region. We paid less than $7000 in total for Thursday-Sunday with accommodations for up to 37 people in B&B style rooms, and 85 people in bunk bed cabins. If you wanted to charge a small fee for the accommodations, you would make back some money and save your guests money! The 13 B&B style rooms each have their own bathroom/shower. The three cabins are actually pretty nice if you can get over sleeping in a bunk. They are air-conditioned or heated depending on the season, and the bathroom facilities are clean and relatively modern. The whole package is an exceptional deal in this region. The only thing that can be a bit frustrating is that the staff at Rockwood are not always reachable by phone and do not communicate information among themselves very well. The staff is extremely friendly, but there were several occasions where I would email or call someone to confirm something and the next time I called or emailed, another colleague would have no record of what I had confirmed and I'd have to start over. On a few occasions, I would have to do this 3 or 4 times. If Rockwood had a dedicated wedding coordinator it would be so much more efficient. That said, we wouldn't have changed the venue for anything. We really loved the charming rustic, vintage feel of the manor.

It's very easy to park and it's only $25 which is so reasonable for the DMV area. We could've stayed at a Marriott closer to DC however, this one has very ample parking. My family and I also love that this location has Cooper's Mill downstairs and the food is always really good. Sometimes you just want a solid experience. I will continue to bring my family here as well because it's super affordable.

Liked the convenience of the guest/visitor parking right by the Room. The initial activation of the Room Key card didn't work getting in and out of the gates, so had to get them re-activated at the front desk. Stayed in Room 103 during our visit to this hotel. There were Pros and Cons with our room and the Amenities of the hotel... Pros: -Close to downtown Bethesda, Grosvenor Metro, I-270 and 495 -Close to the Marriott HQ, Wildwood Shopping Center, Montgomery Mall -Fitness Room -Daily Housekeeping Cons: -No microwave in the room or common area, had to go to the lobby of the snack bar to use it -Ice machine in first floor didn't work, so had to go to the second floor -Our Room's bathroom sliding door had issues, wouldn't slide properly and fell off a couple of times -TV Channel Guide had no detailed information available -Fitness Room treadmills were intermittently shutting off or getting stuck -Complimentary Breakfast in the M Lounge only for Platinum Members and above (shouldn't all Marriott Bonvoy Members get it? Just a thought) Overall, we had a very enjoyable time minus a few of the Cons. But liked the cleanliness and convenience of the location. We were able to drive and commute to a lot of different places in the DMV while we were visiting MD. Didn't get a chance to eat at the Cooper's Mill restaurant this time around, so maybe next time. Was able to workout at the Fitness Room for 3 days, so liked that very much.

I found that the in room workout bands were missing, the holsters keeping the shampoo and conditioner bottle in place in the shower were broken and I couldn't connect my tablet to the tv as I did in my previous stay. I had to talk to the front desk 3 times to get anything done about shower holsters. As for the workout bands, a front desk concierge said they would go get me some from an upper floor and bring them to me, and after an hour past with no word, I called the front desk for them to tell me all of the bands were being replaced. Would have been nice to let me know instead of just ghosting me. The gym was at least mostly nice, with the exception of one broken machine and a door to a stretch room that once entered was filled to the brim with boxes of towels. Still, the beds are comfy, location is great and it grants a pleasant stay and I will be staying there again, I just wish my experience this time was as fabulous as the first.

There are a plethora of restaurants up and down Roseville Pike and also plenty in the adjacent shopping district. The rooms are perfectly adequate, ours included a Nespresso coffee machine and upon check in Bree at the front desk asked if we wanted a fridge and microwave. We have the highest tier of Hilton status so I'm not certain if she offered due to this or if this is offered to all. The day that we checked in and worked with Bree, I was Impressed. After that, many things fell through the cracks. I'm not sure if she's management or what, but they need a few more hers on site. My husband and I decided to pop in for "Happy Hour" and that was simply confusing. I don't feel like explaining all that happened, but it's safe to say that placing orders at the bar is best. My husband had breakfast daily at Hello Betty since he was going to be at the show for 10 hours a day. I only tried it the last day we were here and the eggs were flavorless and the grits not cooked properly. Grits should not be gritty. They are to be cooked down until they are creamy. They were seasoned well, but I just couldn't get past the newbie chef texture error. Getting housekeeping was an issue and that required my husband placing a request in the app after I had waited hours. I just said give me towels and tissue so I can move on with life. I did not leave my sleep notice on the door and I waited in the room because I wanted to shower before roaming around for the day. That was disappointing, but also Brew wasn't at the front desk. I can say that the valet guys are attentive and always tried to get me a vehicle even when I didn't need it. Also, my server on Sunday morning at breakfast was kind. He had a tattooed head. The room is comfy and clean.

So, when my girlfriend had to visit Rockville, Maryland for 17 days to take part in a clinical trial, I booked a room at Best Western Premiere. I wanted her to have a quiet and comfortable room from a hotel chain I trusted. When we arrived, we were given keys to room 782 -- but the room hadn't been cleaned. I called down to the front desk and AJ asked us to wait a moment. Within a few minutes, he came to the room, apologized for the inconvenience, and gave us keys to the room next door. He even inspected it to make sure all was well. After a 4-hour drive we were exhausted. Even so, we took the time to put everything away. That took mere seconds because there were only 2 drawers available for clothes in a bench under the television. The drawer in the desk was occupied by a safe. There is room for a bureau alongside the one wall. Since one wasn't there, we kept our suitcases in a line against the wall and left them open to pull clothes from. There was a ring of dust along the bottom of the bed as well as along the walls. I covered up dust piled in the corner with my suitcase. I figured all of the rooms would be the same since the vacuums housekeeping use clearly don't have an edge-cleaning feature. Rooms are generally quiet. But noise coming from across the hall easily infiltrates the room. Same with connecting doors. Bogart's: This is the hotel's restaurant that is often not open when it should be. Alcohol has been removed. Fitness Center: The towel rack was always empty, so bring your own towel. Laundry: You must cross the filthy floor to get to the two washing machines that are also disgusting, along with the dryers and the excessive hair packed into the lint filter. The machines only take change but there is no change machine in the room. We had to wash some clothes by hand in the bathroom sink. Pool: The pool turned green and was closed during one weekend. Business Center: The center is actually an open area past the ATM in the sometimes busy lobby. No privacy and no printer. Recycling: There is a tiny container for recycling in the room. We had to pack up our recycling every other day and hand it off to front desk personnel because there are no receptacles in the halls or in the lobby. Garbage: Some guests leave their trash from deliveries outside their door. When opening the door to the first floor stairwell, there is a wooden mouse trap laying in wait in the corner, so opportunist rodents do make it indoors. Security: The main doors are never locked. No room key is required to ride the elevators and anyone can use the stairs. The Staff: The single star in this review is for them. They work alone each shift and do their best with seemingly no support. It's as if personnel at the front desk were hired and set up to fail. Get used to seeing the pink "Assisting another guest, will return shortly" sign quite often. I never saw a manager on duty and thought the staff was on their own around the clock. As for front desk agents, AJ is kind and never forgets a thing. He helped us on several occasions and always had something positive to say that kept us smiling. Rosa is a dedicated and efficient professional who was also helpful to guests and staff alike. She's definitely this property's bright shining star. A true professional, Rosa is courteous and is respectful of everyone. The number one response you will hear from the staff is this: "I'm sorry." They are sorry for the restaurant, the pool, the laundry, and everything else hotel related. You can tell so much is out of their hands. I'm not sure what management is doing. (Wherever they are.) Each day, the hotel got worse. I feel for the staff that works so hard to please everyone but it seems that they're forced to keep up appearances. My girlfriend and I must return to Rockville in mid-September for a follow-up with her clinical trial but we'll stay elsewhere. I'm also questioning if I want to remain a member if this is what Best Western Premier properties are like -- especially when they don't seem to grasp what "premier" means.
