They then offer another appointment that we accept. We again rearrange our schedules only to wait over an hour before we needed to leave because we didn't have time to wait any longer. We made the appointments because when you walk in it takes forever. Why bother to make an appointment if they cancel or if you have to wait so long? When you confront them about their issues, all you get are excuses. Don't bother.

I get excellent quality care, and my overall experience in customer service is always on par. Sometimes everyone does get behind on schedule, and the wait times vary, so give yourself ample time when you are in this office. The parking can be crazy, but you'll find better parking during lunchtime. My best bet, schedule your appointments for this particular building, 12:00-1:00pm. That's my tip for this review. She has a warm bedside manner and is very easy to talk to. I have always been happy with her care. I have to take 3 fwys to remain her patient and i will continue to do so. Also, I love using Nextmd to contact her or the office. It's an online patient chart. I can print doctor orders, see results, send them emails and pretty much whatever I need. I have always had my calls and emails returned promptly. No matter how I contact the office. I'm always treated well and with respect. That is so important to me. Since the practice was sold to private equity, the focus seems to have shifted from patient care to maximizing revenue. Getting an appointment is incredibly difficult, even if you can get someone on the phone. The patient portal is another constant source of frustration--expect to spend an hour just trying to regain access if something goes wrong. The office staff across the locations I've visited seem exhausted and jaded, and every interaction feels like there's another fee waiting around the corner. The final straw came when we switched to a new pediatrician. Our new provider tried to retrieve my children's vaccination records through the California Immunization Registry, only to discover Coastal Kids hadn't entered them. Because of that oversight, I had to request the records directly from Coastal Kids--and they charged me $20 per child to send the records to our new doctor's office. It's hard not to feel like families are viewed as a revenue stream rather than patients. We left this practice because the experience had become consistently frustrating, and the way our departure was handled only reinforced that we made the right decision
