I was in the neighborhood, carry around a purse with a broken zipper. I Yelped what was around my current appt so I could get it fixed. I'm so glad I did. I can see why this place gets 5 stars. It was about 20 minutes before closing, the man behind the counter was involved in something. He stopped to help me. He advised that replacing a zipper would be costly but maybe he could get the teeth to connect better by tightening the hook. He took my purse away, came back in minutes and it was fixed! And to top it off, he didn't even charge me. In a world where customer service is lacking and no one does anything for free, this was a pleasant surprise. This is how you get customers to return. There are a handful of places between my appt and home but I'd come back this way if I ever need these services again. read more

I brought one pair of sandals in to have velcro attached to the straps, not a big deal, one sandal to have the strap glued between the insole and midsole, again, not a big deal. Big mistake not to ask the cost thinking it can't be more than $20.00. Pick up day, $40.00 for 2 pieces of velcro and 1 drop of glue. People, do not leave without asking the cost, and if he says, I don't know yet......run. read more

This is my little friendly neighborhood shoe repair shop. The strap of my favorite leather bag was broken in a strongarm robbery, so my neighbor suggested I take it here. Good tip! A section of the strap was missing, so they rebuilt it for me, even stronger than it was before. The service here could not have been better. read more

I have a pair of boots that were custom made for me, in Korea. Somehow, with slightly longer legs than general American public, retail boots are slightly short on me and when I put them on, they look awkward. Plus the heels are all crazy high and I can't wear high heels cuz they will make me look gigantic. That is not a good thing. Shopping for boots is always a failure. So all I can do is fix my old one. The thing is, I love these boots so much! And also I hate wearing pants (for the same reason.... I can never find pants that fit me perfectly) so I am always in dresses or skirts or shorts. Boots come very handy in Winter. Sorry about stupidly long explanation. What I wanted to say is that my boots were pretty beat up after a long period of abuse, with shredded parts here and there and of course the heels had to be replaced, etc. They took my boots and took care of them. Now the boots are.... well if I said good as new, I'd be lying, but in a very healthy condition. I am so happy I have a shoe repair shop so close. Anyway, the winter's over, so I am not gonna bother getting another pair of boots. May be I can get another pair when I go to Korea???? read more

This place takes the time to fit the Spenco inserts to fit inside my shoes so I am not left to tackle. Overwhelmed with the quality of the restoration of three pairs of leather shoes done here. They brought two pairs of Italian leather shoes and a pair of Spanish leather shoes back to new in a mere 3 days. The heels had severe damage and they rebuilt scratch leather stack ups and replaced the soles and foot beds. Topped it off with a clean polish of the uppers. Very Nice People But Not Happy With Repair. They are polite, professional, treat you with respect. They also have a bowl of candy for you to grab a piece or two. I brought my high-heel shoes in to have the elastic fasteners replaced. I was charged $35, which I thought was quite a bit. But I didn't have my phone to find another place. When I picked up, they had sewn the elastic to the outside of the shoe; not opening up and hiding the band within the shoe. Several strings were hanging from it as well. Looks bad. Thank goodness the buckle hides it. But I know its there. For $35, I would have expected a much better job. read more

Three stars because they did a good job but boy, lacking in customer service. When I dropped the shoes off, a man sitting in a chair yelled "front" and didn't even look in my direction. It took several minutes for someone to come from the back to help me. When I picked the shoes up, a man ask what I wanted, I told him I was picking up and he said OK, but continued to watch TV for the next few minutes. I will go back but wow. read more

This shop is terrific! Customer service is great, quick service and excellent skills. I took in my favorite pair of cowboy boots to see if they could make them a little more comfy around the toes. To my surprise they are perfect I can wear them with socks now if I wanted too! I brought in my favorite Frye bag to have a handle repaired. Although Frye advised they could not fix it, I gave this place a try. When I picked it up as promised, I truly could not tell which one was the original broken one. The color of the leather matched perfectly, the stitching was exactly the same and I was elated!
