We have not visited the store but the pinconning cheese spread is our family's all time favorite. I wish we lived near there.

Williams was our first visit to a cheese store in the Pinconning area. The interior is small, neat, and well arranged. There are just enough cheese and meat choices to entice without feeling overwhelmed. We chose the heaviest loaf of cheese bread, came home and had grilled toast with tomato soup the next week; a total taste sensation. We also bought two large chunks of cheddar pieces and jalapeño cheddar cheese. We use these items, as needed, with various dishes that calm for grated or melted cheese. They are really lasting a long time, taste wonderful and melt easily. The employees were attentive and helpful. This store has a cute cow outside, but that's the only "touristy" symbol. Of all the cheese shops, it would be my go-to for quality products, and in-and-out, no hassle experience. read more

If I had to choose between Wilson's and Williams, I'd choose Wilson's for sheer variety, but WIlliams definitely brings more bang for your buck. They have the large trimming ends for super cheap. One of several family traditions when heading up north to deer camp or vacation is stopping in here to get a variety of things. My personal favorite is the horseradish cheddar spread on crackers. My cousin will typically get two different types of cheese curds and the cheese bread also, which is delicious. It's nice having a place that makes homemade cheese in Michigan and you can see what they are doing inside depending on when you go in. The people seem fine behind the counter. The product is what brings us back. I love seeing the old cow out front as well. I didn't get a chance to go this week for deer camp because we got up too late, but my cousin got up there and bought the cheese bread again and it was good as usual. They have spicy, dill, and other flavored curds as well as block cheese and spreadable options, plus assorted meats, crackers and pickled veggies for all you charcuterie fans. I love Williams Cheese Company! I saw a billboard for them on the way up north and decided to stop on a whim and I'm glad I did. The small shop is wall-to-wall cheese - cheese slices, blocks, dips, etc - with lots of samples to go around to help you decide with one to go with. We got some spicy beer cheese dip, gingerbread dip, pepper jack cheese, and some roasted garlic cheese. All have been amazing. The service was top notch too, at the register. Best in town. read more

This place rocks!! Its packed with cheese, cheese, and more cheese at what I thought were really low prices. There are lots of samples around the store. There is a small selection of some specialty grocery items as well. We got some cheese spreads and a bag of cheese curds. They are limited to the certain types of cheese made by their company (like colby jack? I don't remember what else) So you can't get a huge variety here. Still a great local place! read more

Wow! Super good prices on cheese! Man, it was all so good I could barely decide what to buy. I, of course, spent to much money. I stood and watched the workers for a bit. I am too old to say my age but my husband and I crave Pinconning Cheese Mild. Loved it all my life. Retired to Florida and cannot get anything to compare. I live in Columbia SC and our Publix store had Williams sharp creamy cheddar on sale so I thought it would be a good time to try it and it was very very good. I found a little red spot on the cheese and took it back to the store because I just wanted to make sure the cheese was safe. Long story short....I got a PERSONAL call from the Williams Cheese Company about my concerns and was very very impressed with the superior customer service. Folks, this is the kind of service that seems to have died with my and my grandparents culture. The business of old where people cared about their products and wanted to make things right. I was not trying to get anything, I simply wanted to make them aware of this red spot to be sure it was harmlesss but they went above and beyond the personal phone call and offered me a complimentary gift of cheese to be sent to my home. There is something to be said about a family owned business. They contacted me the next day after I returned the cheese!!! That is fast!!! I was treated with respect and my concern was not blown off but they did tell me it probably was coloring or pimento which is what my suspicions were as well.
