However, administration extremely unorganized:…read more- Did not inform me my eyes would be dilated until I arrived (Would have been stranded if I drove myself) - Requires $200 payment for "high deductible" which they claim is "office policy" (regardless of specialist copay amount; Insurance company flagged this as highly unusual, as my specialist copay is $100). Doctor would not see me until $200 payment was collected. - Would/could not tell me the cost of the procedure they recommended - Scheduled said procedure without insurance authorization - Cancelling appointment was a nightmare due to lack of internal communication (called back to confirm and was told they never received my scheduling request, though I was previously told it was entered into the system).

Dr. David Gross did a great job removing 2 cataracts and so far, I am very…read morepleased. I did have a black eye after the 2nd cataract removal, but that is sometimes a side effect. It went away in a few wks. I use my reading glasses much less, as the ones I have now aren't right anyway, but will be perhaps getting new reading glasses for very fine print. Other than that, I can see everything much clearer and brighter all around me. I don't have the blasting glare from sun in my eyes to drive during the day, and I think night driving will be ok too, I just haven't done that much of it yet. the female eye Dr was amazing as well as most of the other staff. the receptionist can't even do…read moredata entry. she entered my phone number wrong so when my glasses came in I had to call to find out if they were there meaning they called someone else to let them know my glasses were in. Once I finally did call to see where they were because I was experiencing horrible headaches from not having them. I rushed into get them again the headaches. I believe she said her name was Waylon but I'm not positive on that helped me. she was flirting with the man prior to me spent at last 45 min wooing him. I felt like telling her to just give him your number. When she did get to me she called a family of three all getting their glasses up before me. again with the headache I don't want to wait I inform her and she calls them all back there anyway. when she finally brings me my glasses she puts them down infront of me doesn't sit down to adjust them just tells me to with here and hands me a bag. what am I or my insurance company paying for her to flirt with guys and not even to finish the job. it would have taken me 2 mins to to any adjustments but she tells me I can come back to do them. like I want to come back and watch you flirt with customers. I told them that i need my lens because i go out of town July 10th, 2024​. So now it's Tuesday July 9th 2024. I called in the morning explained the situation again to another employee and was told they would call me back today. Now 6:18 pm no call back. So now I have to go on my trip with blurry eye sight. Would not recommend them to anyone. This is the second center I have tried both let me down. I went to the one in Hammond and then I was making the drive to Merrillville. Very disappointed.
