I bought a $70 Boston shaker from this company (it's a bar tending drink shaker) and it rusted in the sink before I even used it once. I emailed the company to arrange a return and a refund and they said they won't take it back because I left it in the sink for a day. What do they think happens to bar tending equipment? I've had other shakers that have never rusted after years of use, so yea, I will never buy anything from them again. Beware what you buy too, they won't return it if it's terrible quality (not that this was supposed to be, they claim it's stainless steel and sure charge for it as if it was). TERRIBLE product and terrible customer service. I searched for a very specific type of knife on their website and it took me to the product. Once the product was delivered, I realized this was a much cheaper version of the knives I was hoping to buy... they couldn't even easily cut through a carrot (at over $130, what knife can't cut a carrot?!). Because I did not have the original container for the product, they refused to refund or help and stopped responding to me. Do not recommend - such a scam. read more

DO NOT USE THEIR ONLINE STORE!!! This is an insanely irresponsible merchant. I bought a Le Creuset and to do an exchange they expected ME to pay for shipping of this insanely heavy pot!!! I believe as a merchant if you want to run an online store, it is YOUR responsibility to come up with a return method. All merchants that have online stores provide you with a return label because they are rational enough to understand as a consumer you are disadvantaged for not being able to touch and feel the product in person prior to purchase. BUYER BEWARE!! They actually told me the only time we do returns is if the product is damaged because "the supplier will reimburse us". Where the hell are your own business costs then if you expect to be paid for everything by suppliers or consumers? Never using them again. They have no idea how many sales they lost. Recently bought a couple of items here. I live in the GTA and found a few things I needed that were out of stock on amazon and other big box stores. I was initially weary about ordering from a store I've never heard about online. All my worries were remedied. Their customer service is top notch. They emailed me regarding the status of a product that had a potential delay from the manufacture (which was still delivered promptly). Their prices are fair and competitive, often cheaper than the above retailers. Online it says they are a family operated business. I think we need to support that more than ever. The service and selection at Canadian owned business, Williams Food Equipment is second to none. If you can't find what you're looking for, they will guide you to it. Their showroom is beautiful, just walking in got me excited. Aisles and aisles of all the best kitchen appliances and walls of gadgets too. Their prices are very reasonable, as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" My non- stick All Clad frying pan is going on 7 years now and still going strong. I have a Wusthoff knife set for over 20 years and a Mac knife that I use almost daily that has to be 9 years old. Were they pricey? Of course, but when do you hear of product lasting years? Very poor customer service. Wanted to return a product that wasn't the right size and told it was my error despite the fact there was no sizing (volume) on the particular product I ordered. Didn't try to accommodate my request at all and expected me to return at my own cost. In a time where most people are online ordering they have a lot of competition out there and there are definitely much better sites I prefer and would order from again. In my excitement from getting such a good deal, I accidentally checked out with the wrong color in the cart... oops! It was a Sunday, so the office was closed, but when I called on Monday to see if I could get the color swapped out, I received excellent, prompt customer service. Thank you Sandra! They are posted as available in anticipation of their short arrival. From a customer perspective, this means it ships out to me later than anticipated (in this case, it is 5 days until Christmas Eve). While I understand this provides an opportunity to not miss out on sales, it is somewhat of a dishonest practice - allowing the customer to make payment, then notifying the customer that it is on backorder and hoping that they would wait and not asking for a refund/substitution. What I presume is that if they're out of stock and only when a distributor has not yet shipped the items, then they would be listed as out of stock. I phoned to confirm whether or not their system was automated or if they had to manually manipulate the website to reflect inventory status. They confirmed that they have to do it manually. My e-mails inquiring about the practice of listing backordered items as in stock rather than "on backorder" has not received any response, which is inconsistent with their usual response times. --- Original Review: As I live far away, I could only shop online. Customer service was great. They reached out to say certain items were on backorder, even though it had been listed as in stock online. Apparently, the supplier themselves had the items backordered from France. Communications were prompt whenever I had questions or issues, and the online chat option was also convenient. Service online and on the phone was friendly, patient, and committed to making things right. That friendliness really goes a long way because it made me want to come back and make another order. After reading a few reviews online about Williams, I began to peruse the site in detail. I was very pleased at their excellent selection, competitive prices and free shipping across Canada. The site was easy to browse and navigate. A live chat online customer service pop up box appeared and the agent was very helpful in answering all my questions about my replacement Vitamix container. He informed me about the various discount codes available for my purchase. He was pleasant and informative and I felt very comfortable in placing my order. Great products that are hard to find elsewhere. For example, I've been avoiding purchasing items made in China and aren't non-stick. They carry cookware that is made in Italy which is ideal. Like others I was skeptical at first as I had never heard of the company before and their prices and selection were significantly better than the competition. I bought an All-Clad cookware set and also a number of Le Creuset accessories in two separate orders. I received the items and they are exactly what I was looking for and completely legit. What I did struggle with was the very long lead time to order. Be careful when ordering as they do not stock some of the items and need to order them directly from the manufacturer. My orders took 4+ weeks to arrive and numerous phone calls to their customer service rep to figure out where the orders were and why it was taking so long even though every week I was assured it would be "next week". If you don't mind waiting, it's a great service but I found the lack of communication as a first time buyer a bit nerve racking. I would use them again but be prepared for a few customer service bumps which is unsurprising from a small company. read more

Prices are decent, but can be matched or beaten elsewhere if you look. the real concern is that many, perhaps most, of their products are not on site and have to be ordered before they can be shipped to you. this creates massive delays. after i was advised there would be a delay for the third straight order i advise them i would like to cancel my order. they agreed and said i would receive my refund within 6 days. about a month later i still had no refund, but i received the shipment! i advised them of this and they said they would provide me a label to ship it back to them, and i still haven't received my refund! so in short, they have had my money for a month and i get to gallivant around for an afternoon shipping their goods back to them. this type of service cannot be rewarded. best look elsewhere. read more

I bought a 'le creuset' pot from Williams online before christmas. I wasn't familiar with the company but was won over by their prices and the online customer service chat function on their website. Williams price for Le Creuset was cheaper than other stores' sale prices. The pot was delivered within 4 days. I had the perfect christmas gift and I was totally pleased with my internet purchase. I order an utensils set online for 25$. When I received it, I discover that it wasn't a set, it was just 4 pieces so I called to returned it. The rep said I would be refunded if I send it back. I paid another 12$ to send it back to discover that they credited only 16$ saying that they didn't refunded the postage paid initially. I called them again saying having known that from the start, when I called their rep, I would not have returned it since it was making no sense to return it and loses money and not having the set, they just said that they didn't care, it was written in their online policy ! I am still stunt by the worst client service I have ever seen. I think it's bad client service not to tell people in advance that they will not get a full refund prior of them shipping the product back. Now they can sell the product again and the whole experience cost me over 20$ in pure loss.
