Owned by a man, Mr. Peters, who knows his medical equipment I was able to get my father's wheelchair repaired in one week. Most of that time was spent waiting for the replacement part. We chose to take the chair to his store but for an additional fee he can travel to your residence to make the necessary repairs. The fee was reasonable given replacement parts are priced by corporate robber barons but so worth it to avoid the purchase of a new chair. I highly recommend this repair shop. The installation tech was professional, helpful, and went out of his way to find a creative solution to an engineering problem we encountered. We experienced a handful of problems over the course of a year that were routine and most were fixed quickly and to my satisfaction except one. Only problem is that one problem was a huge problem at the worst possible time, and when it occurred Able Care did not have procedures in place to address the issue. In a nutshell, the lift stopped working for no apparent reason that we could discern and it happened on a Friday. By the time we could call it in they were closed. They had after hours support, but at the time their support procedures required the on-call person to actually be doing their job. They were completely unreachable via their escalation procedures all weekend while my father was stranded in the basement of the house. Bottom line: it was a problem that had no business happening. Lifts are basic quality of life issues for the elderly. To have it all in the hands of one person who decided not to answer their phone all weekend is an outrage. The rest of the company mobilized to fix the problem quickly on Monday, and they showed a genuine interest in making things right. But make sure you think through after hours support and you understand escalation procedures when you get service like this installed, hopefully Able Care has something more robust in place now.
