He was very helpful, taking the time to explain everything to us. He was also upfront and honest, and though he does water extraction and other types of jobs, he didn't push his other services. In fact, he refused to clean the rooms that were still wet because he didn't want to cheat us. He said that we'd only have to clean them again. He did everything just as he said he would, worked extra to treat and remove a dye stain caused by plastic grocery bags, and recommended a treatment for the areas that were still wet. I feel like I got my money's worth with Dr. Clean, and would definitely use his services again in future.

In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. And David's technical team is cordial, considerate, clean and professional throughout. Within the first week, we noticed that one piece of tile by the stairs had been cut noticeably short. We immediately contacted the company and spoke with Victor. He stated that he would "try to get out to us to fix it," but mentioned he was shorthanded because a couple of his employees had quit. He also suggested that he could fill the area with grout, which we did not agree to. It is clear that the tile was cut too short, and grout would not be a proper or professional repair. Since that initial conversation, Victor has not reached back out to us. We are now in November, and there has still been no follow-up, no phone call, and no attempt to schedule the repair. He has already been paid in full. We reached out again by email, and once again received no response. This company has proven to be unreliable. My paid receipt clearly shows a two-year warranty. Additionally, when Victor completed the job on October 17th, he stated that if any issues came up, we should contact him and he would return to make any necessary repairs. That was untrue. He has not honored his word or complied with the terms of the agreement we entered into. Since I had no use for it, it was just dead space. I decided to convert it into a bookcase. Roberto, the carpenter, was punctual for both the initial consultation and the job itself. He built the bookcase onsite to my specifications, using stainable wood with adjustable shelves. Other quotes I received claimed the work couldn't be done properly due to the room's wainscoting and chair rail, but Roberto handled it with ease. His craftsmanship is top-notch, and the price was reasonable. Here are some photos from mid-demolition and the final raw result. I plan to have the bookcase stained and caulked around the edges to complete the project. This is part of a larger renovation, and I already have painters lined up. I'll post another picture once it's finished. In the next 1-2 years, we'll be gutting our kitchen, and I definitely plan to use Roberto for our cabinets. Don't hesitate to give him a call.
