Shattered clavicle, but they let me walk that night, so the next morning I was picked up by my brother in law from KC in a rental pickup and headed over there to get my bike. An emergency flight had already been booked to get my broken up butt back home to Montana, and I would be dropping my bike off at a great shop in KC. The manager told me that it would be $350 for the 1.5 mile tow, which, what are you gonna do, towing companies aren't cheap, but the $30 a day storage fee, I politely asked if he could waive, because I picked the bike up 10 hours later. He told me in a raised voice that he was "being decent by not charging me for two calendar days!" I was in a whole lot of pain so I just said ok, and headed outside to load the bike. They got the bike almost in the truck when I remembered straps. I asked Jason, I believe his name was, if he had any he'd be able to sell. "None that I'd let you have." was the reply, along with directions to the farm store. Even my easy going brother in law made a comment about how rude the guy was being, but finally we got back with straps and then had to explain how to strap the bike down. It's pretty basic, but they literally were going to attach the straps to the bottoms of the forks... the guys were nice enough, aside from Jason, but they didn't know anything about hauling motorcycles. I'm sure they do ok with cars though, for what it's worth. But there's more. The officer called me back that afternoon to follow up and check on me, and it turns out that when they picked up my precious bike, they were going to hook a chain to it, and literally drag it up the hill because "it's already on its side." The officer saved the day by setting her upright and riding her up onto the truck himself. Between the rudeness, and the total lack of competence where motorcycles are concerned, I was disheartened to say the least, and can wholeheartedly say I don't think you'd ever regret going with another tow option.

They graciously reviewed the car, fixed the problem (a sensor failure), tested it and sent us on out way with a minimal cost. The staff was excellent in every way, and this is especially important when you are a stranded visitor traveling through. 5 stars in every way!

Five star service…read more I got an oil change over the weekend and the mechanic didn't put the belly pan on correctly after they were done. Part of it came off and started dragging while I was driving on the highway the next day. I called Brown's tow service on a Sunday night. I was stuck on I-70 west ten minutes from Topeka and the tow truck came 15 minutes after I called! Wow, quick service. Cost of towing was $60 flat rate with $3 a mile after that. The tow truck driver was friendly and kind. After towing my car to my apartment, he brought out his tool kit and helped me screw on my belly pan in 40 degree weather, free of charge. He was also very knowledgeable about cars and explained why this might've happened. I highly recommend Brown's tow service and am so grateful for this gentleman.

Car died on the highway but I got help from a friend to get it moved onto a side street. The first tow company apparently denied the request when they realized it was an hour drive to tow a car .7 miles. It was reassigned to Taylor's Towing and Recovery. The dispatcher (I didn't catch her name) called at 11:30 pm, well before the estimated arrival time and let me know the call precious to mine was taking longer than anticipated. I said no rush, and I needed sleep but would be up at 4 am, so we planned between 4:30 and 5 am for the new arrival time. Jeff arrived right on time, after driving 100+ miles from a previous assignment, got it started enough to get it into Neutral, and worked around the ice in my driveway to get it where I wanted do I could get in and out of my garage with my working vehicle. I greatly appreciate the promptness and communication even though it was an out of the way little job. I would definitely recommend!

We were not disappointed- Mike, Mark and the team ran a detailed diagnostic of the problem, talked us through the necessary repairs - new spark plugs and coils- and got to work on it immediately. They were accommodating to our large family, let us get things out of the RV, so we could spend time at the zoo while we waited, and had us back on the road 4-5 hours later. They personally called us a couple of hours later to make sure all was well. For an unfortunate situation, we couldn't be more happy that it happened where it did and that Shorey was willing to take care of us. Thank you.

Brought my vehicle here for secondary opinion on my BMW. The primary issue was a burning smell…read morewhich was caused by a bad valve/gasket that was leaking. I also noticed that my RPMs were off. They did their diagnosis. I was really happy they fixed the issue with the smell but even though they replaced the spark plugs, my RPMs are still off.
