My 87 yo mom has been at The Willows at Hamburg for 18 months, first in the skilled nursing unit,…read moreand then in the personal care unit. I've heard so many horrible stories about nursing homes that we were really worried when it came time to place mom. Within a week or two of settling in, we knew we had made the right decision. Great care is taken to see that the facility is clean at all times. We've never had an issue in this area. Residents are kept busy and engaged with numerous activities including weekly outings, daily devotions, and Friday happy hour with live music. They really enjoy this. A brunch buffet for residents and their families is held monthly. Staff is extremely friendly and treats us like family. One thing I'm extremely pleased about is that management listens to residents and acts quickly to implement any suggestions given. I've never seen anything like that in a large company. Having a wonderful therapy department in-house is a huge benefit. Know this is long but I can't say enough about how pleased we are at this facility.

We agreed to pay nearly $7,000 per month for skilled nursing care for my mom. However, The Willows…read moreultimately decided not to accept her because they anticipated that her private funds would be depleted within about a year and that she would then need to apply for Medicaid. Thank goodness we found out they are mercenary and care only about money before entrusting them with her care. They only care about money, and I find that to be predatory. Hopefully, you will think twice about entrusting someone you care about to the Willows at Fritz Farm. I was disgusted to hear the final comment, "She is sweet, I am sure you will find somewhere that will take her". Gross

The facility was absolutely spotless and the staff was engaged, attentive, committed, and caring. It was a great experience for my wife at a time when she really needed it, and I knew during her stay there that I could rest assured that she was getting the best possible care. We were offered the option of Frazier or PAM, and we would have been on a waiting list for Frazier. So glad we were "forced" to go with PAM!

This facility used to be Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital. Though, in early December 2024, it was…read morebought by PAM rehab and then renamed after the company. There is another location south of here in Clarksfield, Indiana, but this is the North location. This facility is deemed an acute one which takes patients who have had a stroke or a traumatic brain injury and rehabilitates them until they are maybe at least able to feed themselves and possibly walk. My primary care physician recommended this location for my mother, who had a stroke around Thanksgiving and spent three weeks in the hospital. Before the stroke, she was very active, independent and could care for herself. After the stroke, she needed to have some rehabilitation and therapy before coming home. Other facilities wanted to throw my mom away into long-term care and not really give her a chance or opportunity to attempt to rehab herself. The intake agent for PAM Health was NOT like that and she said the staff at the facilities do not have that attitude either. She took care of everything that facilitated my mom being transported from the hospital to the rehab location. Everyone who was associated with the care of my mother was amazing. They were caring, empathetic, and patient with her needs, but also challenging with her therapy when needed. In addition, they were communicative with me in terms of identifying her needs challenges, diagnosis and prognosis. I really appreciate their candidness and empathetic nature. I would not have been able to endure this whole process without them. If any other traumatic things happen to me or any of my family members, I would definitely try to get them into this facility.
