I sent my son and daughter-in-law to Hedge after speaking to Luisa about ordering wedding flowers…read more My daughter-in-law felt comfortable with the concept they discussed and we put down the deposit to save the date. The flowers were OK, but definitely not the value of what we paid. But the worst part is that I had come in from out of state and went to the shop the day before the wedding. I understand the shop was busy, but to not take the time to talk to me and provide an opportunity to see the flowers I was absolutely floored. I guess once they have your money there was no need to be professional or remotely kind. I would not recommend this florist. They are overpriced and lack service skills. We paid for delivery and set up, yet when I arrived at the venue the flowers for the ceremony had been left for the wedding coordinator to deal with. We had ordered 4 "cloud" type arrangements for the ceremony area that were so small it was laughable. They were not substantial enough to be placed on the pillars because the coordinator was afraid they would blow off with the gentle gusts of wind. Knowing that the ceremony was outside, and that those arrangements were to frame the area for the ceremony, if the florist would have done what we paid them to do and set up the flowers, they could have either used heavier vessels for those arrangements or they could have used any number of floral tools whether it be floral tape or floral putty to assure the arrangements were in the place on the pillars as they were supposed to be. Isn't that what someone would expect for a delivery and set up fee? Charlottesville is a touristy town so naturally I was prepared to pay more than I would in my hometown, however, I wasn't expecting to be gouged and then not receive the service we had paid for.

We got flowers from Hedge Fine Blooms for our wedding and they were GORGEOUS. Luisa was so helping…read morein bringing my vision to life. 10/10 recommend!

You can explore for hours depending your outdoor tolerance and interest in plants, herbs, shrubs and trees that make food or herbs. They have an orchard of home grown in ground examples. I love seeing them grown so you can walk around and see what they look like big. Every staff member seemed like they absolutely loved this plant cultivation farm/nursery. All smiles, info and willing to help you carry something or find what you missed on their map. I'm telling you this is a fairy kingdom. An Eden esque garden of magic ,a mecca for plants you can eat from. Rare varieties are rare so they seem to cost more but honestly their prices are good. Their plants are healthy and strong and they have a warranty! However, broke or not, take my money!!! I want to support businesses like this. Maybe you should too

It's small inside, but jam-packed with a hundred unique musical novelties. Jewelry shaped like instruments, umbrellas with notes on them, bowties with piano keys, wine bottle holders made from actual piano keys, a small selection of vinyl records, books...one on how to tune a piano, CDs, etc... I can't remember it all, and it was quite overwhelming. I do know they didn't have a welcome mat, which is what I really wanted. I was told they'd hopefully have one by the holidays. So I'll be returning...also because it's where I travel for work. But if you're in Staunton, this shop is not to be missed. It's like a musical etsy conglomerate. Respect it.

They come to Staunton from all over the world and It is a great blessing to have them here to share their talent. While here, they are guided by the Institute's staff to better perform and to gain knowledge from complementing study. We have attended two or three performances and being surrounded by 50 or more stringed instruments, performed expertly, is a very special evening. It is a wonderful surprise that they are located in Staunton and not a large metropolitan area!
