I love Dr Gritzuk, but the best dentist in the world isn't worth dealing with this incompetent office staff. If you give one staff member important information, you CANNOT count on that message being passed onmor put in your record. It is as if they don't talk to each other. After MULTIPLE filings with the wrong insurance company (and, yes, I told them many times), I have been trying to get a refund of an overpayment - for another 3 months. They refunded part of it, but didn't double-check their figures, which resulted in the wrong amount. They did not respond to my phone calls, did not respond to my hard-copy mail, did not respond to my mails... I didn't get a response until I mailed. *certified* letter. that was three weeks ago and still no response on the refund. My next step will be filing in small claims court. So completely disappointing. read more

I went to the dentist yesterday for my six month check up. I had just got a crown put in less than six months ago. I'm having a lot of pain in it so now I have to go out and get a root canal but the problem is I was supposed to take an antibiotic an hour before I go to the dentist , which should be my responsibility. I might add, but don't ask me if I had took it after you've done everything that's not professional all the last hygienist that I was there asked me before we started and I did forget to take it because it was my first time, but they gave me one but don't ask me have I took the antibiotic that I'm supposed to take for the rest of my life behind having surgery when I go to the dentist read more

Dr. Rich Fitzgerald is wonderful dentist and a true artisan of his craft. He has taken tender care of my dental health, as well as caring for members of my family and many friends for a number of years. I have known him to go out of his way to take care of dental emergencies on nights and weekends. As well as a skilled dentist, Dr. Fitzgerald is kind, gentle and compassionate. Wrote a bad review & nothing changed. Doc had sent us to an orthodontist who recommended Dr Anthony Bolamperti. Take your business there. He is great. No upselling. No bs. No cancelled appointments. No rude staff. He didn't recommend any of the Willow upselling treatments. read more

Dr. Dawson and staff are the best and have a patient-centered practice! I have a disaster situation in my mouth caused by years of grinding/clenching. I have had five teeth worked on, including a root canal and the expertise and care throughout my procedures has been top notch. The icing on the cake...they stayed after hours to do an emergency root canal so I didn't have to be in pain! read more

I was on hold for 15-20 minutes and then I hung up... my new dental place has tried numerous times to contact them to get my families record's transferred.. They have not returned their calls... I visited Willow Dental in November for a molar removal. I spent what I felt was an unnatural amount of time, 4-5 hours with at least 4 novocaine injections, receiving a third molar extraction from Dr. Richard Fitzgerald after being assured it would likely be "a simple 15-30 minute procedure". During the visit Dr. Fitzgerald exhibited a foggy demeanor, repeated himself frequently, and exhibited other vocal indicators that made me start to have concerns over whether he was in the early stages of dementia or other mental decline. I ignored my instincts and assumed he just was a "quirky old man" and I had the jitters. I ended up being sent to an oral surgeon across town after Doctor Fitzgerald shattered my molar and failed the extraction. In the following week I received two phone calls from Dr. Fitzgerald, I answered neither as I didn't recognize his personal cell phone number and I was still very upset about the procedure. I have two recorded voicemails from him in which he apologizes for the botched procedure. In both, Dr. Fitzgerald has a similar "slur" pattern in his voice and meandering vocal cadence. After receiving no further contact from Willow Dental, I decided for my own personal wellbeing and mental health to let the issue drop. In February, I received a bill from Willow Dental which was confusing because they have a large posted sign in their lobby that requires all accounts to be settled upon completion. I called on 2/13/2023, on a recorded line, to inquire about the invoice and spoke with a woman that identified herself as "Ashley" the office manager. Ashley was polite up and we had what I genuinely felt was a constructive conversation up until the point in which I mentioned that I believed Dr. Fitzgerald's vocal cadence and demeanor are similar to someone in the early stages of dementia. Ashley proceeded proceeded to explain to me that Dr. Fitzgerald is close to retirement and the office only has him staffed one and a half days a week. Then she started trying to misrepresent their "consent for treatment" form, and claimed that it basically shield's them from any malpractice recourse. This is not true but I did not argue with her as she knows this. I do not believe that an office manager that has been practicing for at least a decade truly misunderstands a "consent to treatment" form that poorly. I feel as though she was trying to bully me into letting the issue drop and seeing as this office operates in a low income neighborhood, I'm troubled by that tactic. It is my personal opinion that Dr. Fitzgerald needs an evaluation of his mental faculties to ensure he still meets the qualifications of his license, and it is also my opinion that the staff at Willow Dental are aware of his decline and actively covering it up so they can carry him to the finish line of his retirement. This presented a danger to me that thankfully was avoided by the intervention of a more competent medical professional. It is also my opinion that the staff at Willow Dental Benson and actively down playing and obfuscating Dr. Fitzgerald's mental condition.
