Dr. Haier did a phenomenal job with a food trap that I had on my back molar. She successfully removed a filling (no pain whatsoever) which could be painful and added a bigger one to eliminate the spacing causing the food impaction. Highly recommend! read more

Information given over the phone did not match experience when at my appointment. They wanted to do a panoramic X-ray which I was not due for and had to check the computers up front to verify, there is no reason why the computer in the exam room should not have had this readily available. They wanted to schedule a separate appointment for a cleaning when original appointment was made for check up and cleaning. Attempted to switch which dentist I was seeing vs. the confirmed dentist from a week prior to the appointment. Overall was very disorganized and a terrible experience. Review of Dr. Peter Straub - Summit Dental (Omaha, NE) I had multiple negative experiences with Dr. Peter Straub. From the beginning, he was extremely rude and dismissive, both toward me and even his staff. During treatment, he forced me into extractions that weren't necessary, telling me that if I didn't agree, he wouldn't work on the crown I actually needed. He was very controlling, frequently jerked my head around during appointments, and overall showed no compassion or professionalism. At one visit, I asked if I could go without numbing medication since I only needed to switch out a crown. Instead of respecting that request, he seemed to go out of his way to be as rough as possible, leaving me in severe pain. He even drilled on a tooth that didn't need treatment and damaged it so badly I had to see another dentist to fix the problem. When I spoke up for myself, instead of addressing my concerns, he became angry and retaliated by sending me a letter withdrawing services, not just from him, but from all Summit Dental locations in Omaha. Simply because I questioned his behavior. To make matters worse, he messed up another tooth, refused to provide pain relief, and I ended up in the ER for help. I've since learned from other reviews that I am not alone, others have reported similarly harmful and unprofessional treatment, including one shocking case where he allegedly called CPS on a patient without reason. I showed up for my cleaning only to find out that they cancelled it even though i had confirmed it through text. I got a print out of all communication. No where did it say i had a deadline for confirming or they would cancel the appt. Since i had bought the "insurance" which included two cleanings and 2 visits, i requested a refund. They refused. I requested the owner call me, which he has not. Do urself a favor and go somewhere else. I had been going to this location for 15 years and had used the owner, kanning, most of the time. I am someone who dreads going to the dentist. I've had problematic experiences with the dentist before, so I was nervous about going to a new office. However, I had a great experience at Summit. Dr. Samuels was very kind and professional and made me very comfortable. I appreciate that he is more conservative about the work that needs to be done on my teeth vs. suggesting dental work "just to be safe." I can confidently say that I am not nervous or anxious about my next dental appointment! read more

Disclaimer: I love the dentist and have never had an issue that could not be resolved until now. Beware of insurance misuse and misrepresentation. Since there are multiple branches, the company has a few doctors scattered across the city listed under each branch. This means insurance reads the branch and practitioners as accepted instead of receiving the correct information about each individual branch. I used to go to the Dundee branch and none of the doctors are accepted on my new insurance but all the site knew was six random doctors at different branches so I am fighting a $300 + charge now. Along with this during this process, I have been mocked and blown off by the staff which is extremely disappointing. I loved my dental hygienist and my dentist hopefully they will get better practices and staff training. read more

I would not recommend this location. I had an appointment scheduled for months which I planned for. I received a call to confirm my appointment at a completely different time than what I scheduled. I called to explain this and was told I could reschedule for 6 months later if it was a problem. I told them I would have to see if I could make the time they mistakenly scheduled work and I would call back to reschedule if needed. After I made adjustments to make that time work and showed up for the appointment they had given my time to someone else. They said that I didn't confirm my time so they took it off. I explained that I did talk to someone and told them to keep my appointment. They didn't do anything to make their mistake right and told me they have a lot of new office staff as their excuse for they mistakes in scheduling. read more

New patient at the Dundee clinic - got me in quick for a dentist check-up, and then squeezed me in for a cleaning same day (which I wasn't originally scheduled for). My insurance covered almost all of the visit, and the part that wasn't the office manager graciously waived without protest. After thinking long and hard, I decided to post my thoughts on this business. My family went to summit dental for years and have since found new dentists. We each have a new dentist, rach at different practices and all three eluded to the fact that they feel that summit dental did subpar work. For example, I have just been told that a tooth that broke on me decayed from the inside out, meaning that when the cavity was filled, not all of the decay was removed before filling. My husband's dentist said the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I loved my dentist as a person and his hygienist was absolutelyphenomenal. The office staff was also horrible up until right before my last visit. The old staff was rude and condescending every time I called with questions about my bills or my care. Many time they tried to overcharge me despite what pre treatment estimates stated. Please do your research before choosing a dentist and ask for a pre treatment estimate before agreeing to any major work. read more

Not a good experience . I went to the dentist in December and I had a tooth filled. . The next week I had a deep cleaning appointment. As the dental hygiene lady was deep cleaning my teeth . She was digging out under the teeth that I had filled . She said that was a lot of decay under there . So she knocked some of my feeling off . The next week I called and made an appointment . Which they was really generous . They said they were treated for free . I went back and they were working on my tooth that need to be refilled . The dentist explain to me that could be kind of dangerous cuz it's close to the nerve . So he proceed to do the procedure . The next week I was diagnosed with Bell palsy . I don't know it was due to the nerve of the tooth been filled . I'm not understanding how . They would do a deep cleaning . And find out I had a lot of decay under my tooth of a field . That was just very upsetting and very painful . Right now I'm still having a lot of pain . I call the summit dentist . Talk with the manager . He wasn't listening very clearly because I explained to him, the dentist said it was very dangerous but he would do it far as refilling the teeth . I think they did as a cheap way maybe they were supposed to do a root canal . But I'm still having multiple problems the manager explain to me that the dentist will never say that what you did . Because I had my phone on record the whole time this procedure was happy cuz I was scared to go by myself . And clearly the the dentist voice is talking clearly . You can actually see him showing me my x-rays what procedure he was going to do . I was trying to explain to the manager . But he swore up and down as if he was in the room but he wasn't . So my tooth is still jacked up . Very painful I'm very pissed off . I can't go back right now because my insurance ran out as they explained to me . It won't roll over until July . I called for some reason they took me out of the system . Cuz I don't know what they do they miss me up or not . When I talk with the manager . They claim they put me back in the system but I'm not even sure if they did . I'm not even sure if I feel comfortable even going back . Cuz right now I'm in a lot of pain . If I could leave ZERO stars I absolutely would. I've never written a review before but couldn't wait to leave one for this place. I called to set up an appointment a couple weeks back and was LIED to saying they are not accepting new patients, cool no problem later that day when I got off work I went to summit dental health website to schedule an appointment. To my surprise this location (Dodge St) did in fact have appointments available and was accepting new patients. So I assumed the person working the phones that day must have either been new or confused, which I was also understanding of so I went ahead booked an appointment took the time to fill out all the new patient paperwork online. The next day I request time off from work await my up upcoming appointment. This morning I go in for my appointment only to be told that there systems are down and that I would have to reschedule. Now I await a call back from them to reschedule my appointment after being lied to inconvenienced and wasting a days worth of PTO at work. I should have went with my gut after I was lied to on the phone when I was told they were not accepting new patients. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND Summit Dental at least not the one on Dodge Street. read more

They say hi when you walk in the door and treat you like a valued customer. Very nice location with professional and friendly staff. I have always been well taken care of at this location. Every Hygienist, Assistant and Doctor that I have encountered, has done an outstanding job. I thought that Dr. Brittany Kennedy was really great. I thought that she did a good job of explaining things to me about my procedure. Then during the procedure, they made sure I was comfortable and that everything felt right before I left. read more

I went to summit to get a regular clean and a possible filling two ladies were there I forget lady's name I have Medicare so I was very careful of what procedures I was getting done they ended up doing panoramic x-rays and bite wings and checking my teeth unbeknownst to me they were doing all these extra procedures that I was not OK with and that I was not there for during the panoramic raise I was curious as to what this was for since I was not here for it and they claim simply stated that they would just deal with it well they never did and I ended up with a couple hefty bills I left a message and I'm getting my insurance into it but summit has yet to call me back in regards to their overcharging an extra unnecessary procedures seems to me like they are taking advantage read more

I was sent to Summit Dental for my annual Army dental screening. my appointment was a 8am on 1/17/2023. I arrived at 7:50am and waited in line. Hanna at the front desk said "I can help you" I walk over and she just gave me the clip board and said fill these out. She didn't great me at all. I completed the paper work and returned it and asked he when I would get the paperwork I needed and she said once the doctor signs it, I walked away and she flung the pen I returned behind her (I heard it hit the desk behind her). I was called back and waited 40 mins to see the doctor. I didn't see a doctor until approximately 8:55am, and that was after I got up and found someone and asked what was going on and if I would be seeing anyone. On top of all, I had to park on the street due to the parking lot being full. Although the dentist didn't acknowledge the wait or apologize, she was kind and professional. overall, I wouldn't recommend this practice. I had a very unpleasant experience. read more

please read!! Never go here. My family and I were patients here for awhile. Not anymore! They try to break up your dental work into separate appointments and then charge twice for anesthesia. For this reason I scheduled multiple procedures for one appointment. they then tried to reschedule my appointment and I find out that they weren't planning on doing everything even though they themselves scheduled it. I couldn't contact them because the number goes to a scheduling office somewhere so I had to drive to their dental office to get to the bottom of the issue. while I was there I was treated worse then I have ever been treated by an employee of a business. Haley at the front desk was trying to cLear up the issue so she went back to speak to my dentist and instead of returning she sent a man in scrubs to help me. he had an aggressive demeanor right away and was so rude to me that I made them refund my $500 advance payment and told them they are fired. this is the worst experience I've ever had with A business. now my family has to find a new dentist and go through all the procedural bs before I can get my work done which is time sensitive and will cause me excessive dental pain that could've been avoided had summit dental gave two shits about there patient. do not go here let me learn the lesson for you so that you don't have to. im sure there are plenty of good dentist out there but summit is not. Great location, reasonably nice office, YMMV in terms of dentist variability. Dr. Brittany Kennedy was great. Unfortunately after my first cleaning and checkup w Dr. Kennedy, they scheduled me to see another doctor for a filling, without mentioning that it would be another dentist. I didn't care for his bedside manner - he and the assistant talked nonstop about their personal lives while he was doing my filling. After two weeks of problems, pain, and even going back 2x to get the filling adjusted, Dr. Kennedy took it out earlier this week and started over. She did a great job and I can already feel the difference. If I hadn't gotten such competent care from Dr. Kennedy this would have been a 1 star review for creating more problems than they solved. read more

At the Dodge location, Stacy absolutely went above and beyond getting me an appointment when I desperately needed it. She's amazing and really cares about the patients. I really cannot thank her enough for all she did. I ended up having a root canal and the procedure went very well. I definitely recommend this office if you need a endodontist. read more

Pick another Summit, Don't use 90th and Blondo I have been going to this Summit for 2 years and really liked it when another dentist was there. She had a baby and moved to another state. Since she left, I've seen the customer service decline. At a recent visit, Shelby, a dental assistant, was unnecessarily rude, hostile, and matter of fact. She went on a 10 minute lecture in front of other customers regarding the care of my teeth. Everything she said was something she could have said privately, quietly, and under a 1 minute. I felt that she was trying to shame me and wag her finger like I was a child. When I challenged her on the facts and reminded her of what was reported to me at my last visit, she became irritated, pretended like she didn't understand what I was saying and continued on with her lecture. I canceled all my appointments and my kid's appointments the next day and moved to another Summit. Don't waste your time and energy at this location. read more
