Always clean, in good condition, and normally people have been great at sharing during busier times! Hot tub is great with plenty of space! I also like the warmer pool which is wonderful on my joints and not as hot as the hot tub. Perfect balance and lots of space for all ages. The lifeguards have always been great and make sure kids are safe and have the right wristbands based on their swimming abilities. Lots of workout equipment, all in good condition! Definitely not substandard equipment. I've never seen all the treadmills in use, and half of them aren't closed all the time like other places. The only machines I wish they would add are SkiErg machines! I appreciate the weights and how nice the other people at the gym have been. Very supportive and patient! I have not used a trainer yet but am considering it! The utilities have always been clean. Sure. The showers need a little extra clean, but nothing super gross or black moldy. I do wish they had dressing rooms separate from the showers, but I'll survive! My favorite thing is the staff. SUPER FRIENDLY, each and every one, and that's very special. Always greeted when I come in and always a farewell on my way out. Fabulous staff! We also can't wait to go out to the outdoor poor soon!

They work and some better than newer ones Ive seen in other places. I love the sauna and equipment rooms. They have a lot of treadmills stair steppers and rowing machines. Teachers are available if I have questions. There is a plethora of classes! Even Qi gong- theres exercise dance, yoga, senior fit, strengthening, weight lifting yoga etc A lot of seniors are here and Im loving making new friends with active people my age. Ive been a member for only two months and my body definately stronger and Im sleeping better. I now have days when I feel fantastic and not just okay. I make it a point to go work out 3-4 times a week. Also theres a basketball court and other games. Im so glad I joined! Thank you YMCA staff- keep up the good work!

The only thing I'd downgrade them on is the price, as it's slightly more expensive long-term than other places I've been to, but it's still more or less what you'd pay for yoga anywhere. The instructors have always been great. I can't comment on the other reviewer's problem with trying to call and email the studio, because I've never tried, but i can say that if there's a class scheduled, they've always been there. One reviewer had a problem with the gong in a sound bath class. I see where they're coming from, but I think they were wanting to make the experience be what they were expecting of it. Personally, i often don't find the gong relaxing per se in the moment either. It's intense. But it's therapeutic in the end. I wish I could reply to the reviewer and suggest that she was terribly uptight before even entering the studio. The instructors I've had here have been great. Jenna's probably the best yoga instructor I've met. She has such a comprehensive and clinical knowledge of anatomy, along with a facility with language that really helps me understand intuitively how to enter the poses. She needs her own studio someday. To sum up, people can be petty buttholes. Anyone tempted to leave a terrible review of this studio ironically direly needs this studio.

I've been attending TW classes for about three years now. Their program is solid and varied. They host Zumba, Cycling, step, kickboxing, yoga, Active Older Adult classes, etc. At this location, there are morning classes and evening classes, six days a week. They are $7 for a drop-in or $100 for a four-month unlimited pass. They also provide childcare, which I have never used, but I've heard good things. The staff has always been professional and supportive. The classes themselves are fun and staffed with energetic and helpful teachers. If you are looking for an affordable program for fitness classes, I highly recommend Total Wellness.

The LBJ Student Center at Texas State University is named after Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th president of the United States and one of the university's most distinguished alumni. Johnson attended the institution formerly known as Southwest Texas State Teachers College beginning in 1927 and graduated in 1930. Texas State has chosen to remember him through buildings, programs, and memorials on campus. As documented in the building, Lady Bird Johnson emphasized that the center was meant to be a living tribute to her husband - one filled with the energy, activity, and engagement of students, reflecting the spirit Johnson valued in young people. His picture and his background is prominently displayed throughout the LBJ student center.

It's the first thing I need when I go work out. The weights area is good, and people are generally polite about letting other people use equipment between their sets. The bad is that the front desk is beginning to nickle and dime people when they want to borrow towels. Not only that, but you have to pay a fee for their "towel service". Then proceed to pay fifty cents to a dollar for every towel you borrow from then on. There's always a entrance whose out of commission, or the finger print scanner don't work. The natatorium is closed for most of the day for who knows what. One of the showers in the girls locker room doesn't work, and each shower has a ball of hair from all the girls who brush their hair in the shower or shave but aren't considerate enough to pick their hair up after they're done using the shower.
