I had been to two dental offices previous to coming to Willow Glen, and neither of them were willing to accommodate my needs. I was frustrated and I was in pain due to three impacted wisdom teeth. Before I ever even visited the office, the staff member I spoke to on the phone was beyond helpful, he walked me through exactly what I needed to retrieve from my primary dental office in order to make the process of getting my teeth out as simple as possible. When I visited the office for my consultation with the oral surgeon I was treated with so much respect and care by every staff member I came into contact with. The oral surgeon himself was kind, personable and very direct and straightforward with me about what my surgery would entail. He made sure I left the consultation with no unanswered questions and made me feel very comfortable. When it came time to figure out payment, all my options along with the exact amount that was covered were explained throughly and I did not feel pressured to make any certain decision regarding how I payed. I got my wisdom teeth out this morning. When I walked in they remembered me by name despite my consultation having been two weeks ago. The nurse, the surgical assistant and the surgeon were all so kind and careful to make sure I was comfortable, and they did a fantastic job. I would recommended this office to anyone whose insurance covers it, they are good people who do a great job. I will definitely be returning in the event I need an oral surgeon again read more

I was referred to the Willow Glen Dental specialist for a scan. I had called at least on two occasions and sent an email for this referral.. I got no reply until three days later at 4:55 PM. By that time they were closed. They did contact me on Saturday morning stating that their systems were down and booked me for an 8 o'clock appointment on Monday. I got there on time only one person that's in the office and she was unaware of any appointment that was made for me at 8 o'clock. But she assured me she needed a few minutes to get ready. I waited for 15 minutes. She never came out I left. Do not go here. The front door look like it was compromised and I got the feeling that whoever owns this business does not really care about the environment or care for patients. read more

Would not recommend this place because the orthodontists are contracted which means this isn't their business, so they come and go. I went through multiple orthos here, each one leaving right after the next. Fast forward- I reached out asking for my vivera scans to order a new set of retainers. It hasn't been two years since I got my braces off, and they threw out my file. Stating that they don't have the scans or records and can't order me new ones from Vivera. Will be reporting to BBB. My adult daughter (21) is looking to get her braces done. She has already received the referral from her dentist. She is under my insurance as I work for the County of Santa Clara and my children are covered under my insurance until they turn 26. I looked up all the ortho's in my dental network and this place was one of them. She scheduled her appointment and went in for her consultation. I had instructed her to call me when it came time to pay and sign as I wanted to confirm a few things. My daughter called me and asked how I wanted to pay. I told her that I could give my credit card number over the phone or could come in if they needed to verify my identity in person. She handed the phone to the receptionist whom was pleasant enough. When I asked what the amount was she quoted me $5,300 and some change. Which was outrageous since ortho was a part of our dental plan. I was sure of it because my two sons currently are finishing up their braces treatment with another office. We just didn't go with their office for my daughter as the office was a little far from where she lives and works. The lady proceeded to tell me that my insurance only covered braces if it was deemed medically necessary. WRONG! Again, my two boys had their braces installed almost two years ago and I handled their payment without incident. I was a new Patient with an appointment at 10 AM. I didn't get seen by the doctor until 10:45 AM. OK Monday morning, I'll give them that. The front staff was very nice. The woman who took me back to the chair, was abrupt and appeared to be in quite a hurry. Doctor Zaghi, was very condescending. She came in looked at my x-rays, Did some testing on the infected area. She basically told me not to speak that she would ask me very specific questions, then I could talk. Again, did I mention I'm a new patient. In a very short scenario, I tried to tell her why I ended up having a root canal and bone grafting. In so many words, she told me what I had explained would never happen. She had never heard of that happening in her many years of practice (which is exactly what my dentist said and then stated that the reason was possible). But she wouldn't let me get that far and basically called me a liar. With that said I obviously just stopped engaging. I should've walked out, but I'm a Professional. I am forced to leave a 1 star review after extreme incompetence by the office staff/manager. Dr. Del Carmen is a wonderful orthodontist and but my experience at this office has been 1 star worthy. From the beginning I had told the office that I would be moving away after the first 6 months and they had described the process of transferring records to a new office. They explained it would be no problem. I have the office a 2 month notice of when I would be moving so that they could have my records ready to be transferred to the new office. When I actually moved, my new office said they had not received the records yet. So I called about 5-7 times requesting my files get sent. I got a variety of excuses about a why they hadn't sent them yet like needing Dr's signature or the office manager to sign and thus the delay. For TWO months. I always got a different answer. I finally got the office manager, Sofia, who assured me they would be sent. After more bugging on my end, they finally sent it 3 weeks later. My new office had been requesting info TO NO AVAIL. This week my new office said they were still waiting on a form that they had requested in MARCH (it's end of June now). I called and emailed more times and still have no response. Bottom line: do NOT come here if there is any chance of you moving or needing your records in the future. I am so discouraged and upset at this point. read more

I was referred to this establishment for a root canal. I booked the appointment weeks in advance. They asked for my insurance information which I provided at the time. They confirmed that I have a referral form from my dentist. I said yes. They called me after 5:00PM the day before my appointment "to confirm" my appointment time. I confirmed. Then they asked if I could push it out by hours. I reluctantly agreed to a push out. We hung up. Then they called me back to tell me that would have to collect more than $400 because they don't take my insurance. Why didn't they tell me this weeks ago when I booked the appointment for a root canal on a tooth that is bothering me!!! Now I have to start again and suffer more pain until I can find and get scheduled with someone else probably week from now. Terrible patient service and attention to very important details. Don't go here. You cannot be sure what they will do for you. This makes me enter one star to submit my review. But they actually get NO STARS for poor service. read more

I had a root canal done here. They were on time, courteous, and very skilled and gentle during the procedure. They explained what they were doing, and I was comfortable throughout the procedure. Never go to this dentist. I needed a gum graft and they said they checked with my insurance and confirmed that my insurance would fully cover my gum graft after my copay. Months later I get a bill for $413 because the insurance didn't cover it. And of course before I took the operation I had to sign an agreement to be fully responsible for anything that wasn't covered by insurance. They lied to me. They said it was fully covered. If I had known I would be stuck with this large bill I would have shopped around and found a different dentist. read more

They overcharged me and when it was brought to their attention..they did not want to reimburse me until my healthcare provider insisted that they pay me. They had my money and used it for almost a year and a half and did not pay me back with interest. Patrons Beware! She even called me back to let me know they got my x rays. I can't say enough about the staff. Dr. Ma did the actual root canal. I will give this place one star for not caring about their patients my main concern is about the billing staff they were not clear and they blamed everything on the patient, by sending me a new bill after more than a month of my visit and paying my balance and not wanting to hear me out . I had gone here for a second opinion for the extraction of my wisdom teeth. (I had brought in my own x-rays). At the front counter, they did not let me know that my 5 minute consultation would cost me $230!!!! Seriously?! $230 for 5 minutes?! And they told me my insurance would be covering it. After a few weeks, I get a letter saying I owe $350 because my insurance rejected the claim! (they mistakenly even put the x-ray charges even though I did not get any x-rays here). I broke a tooth and was in a lot of pain and couldn't eat or chew. I went to my dentist and he referred me to this office for dental surgery due to complications, including an infection and a root that had seemingly punctured my sinus. They said I had an appointment for Tuesday, so I didn't take another appointment at another office for Wednesday. They said they could do a consult and extraction at the same time. Someone named Sophie called me on a Wednesday and asked me to call her back, which I did, on some sort of emergency number. Their office number wasn't working. She never called me back. On Monday at around 11:20, I called the office wondering why they didn't call me back. They had never heard of me. The person who answered the phone, their "scheduler", was rude. They said they were completely booked for Tuesday. I had been on antibiotics since Wednesday and they made me sick and very fatigued. I have a job. I don't have time for this. I called my dentist and they said I should have an appointment. I tried calling Sophie again on the emergency number. She said she needed my full name and phone number. Now, she had already called me and my dentist had sent her my records. So she has my phone number. She never told the "scheduler" that I needed an appointment or forwarded my x-rays over to the dentist. Then, she started telling me that they couldn't do the extraction on Tuesday but it was just a consult. And they would need to do a bone graft costing $1100 plus she needed to call my insurance to find out what the extraction would cost. It would seem that they led me on to get the money for this expensive procedure over other dentists. Here's the thing, disorganization at a medical office kills people. If you read the best-selling book "The Checklist Manifesto," you'll find case studies about how they reduced deaths at hospitals by 50% just by making medical staff fill out a checklist for patient care. The premise is the world has become too complex for even the smartest people to keep up with the details. Medicine requires extreme detail orientation: the right dosages of medicines, the right timing during surgery, scheduling appointments at the moment when they're needed, and so on. Don't go here! It doesn't matter if the dentists are good, the staff are a wreck. And, the dentists hired the staff. Oh, I still don't have an appointment with an oral surgeon. read more

the surgery itself went well. however, they completely overcharged and up-charged after they had my son in the chair for wisdom teeth removal. also there was no conversation with the doctor or nurse following the procedure to let me know how it went. i had to ask to talk to the doctor and then I was treated like a bother and why would I need to ask??? it cost almost $3000 for wisdom teeth removal-- for my 15 year old, the roots were not large, not impacted and quote, a straight forward removal, perfect time to get them removed before they are fully developed. hmmm. the price went from about 2200 to 2880 following this comment from the doctor. seriously was ripped off! read more

I came here for an Invisalign consultation in December. They insisted on X-rays so i had my dental office send my recent ones over. After talking to Dr. Park she thought I would be a good candidate. She said it would only take 6 months for the treatment. After being offered $500 off of my Invisalign by the front desk, if i signed up that day, I decided to proceed with the treatment. This turned out to be a nightmare. The assistant was new and it took her a few times before she got the impressions right. They sent these into Invisalign. After waiting 1 month they said they needed 3D scanning because the impression didn't turn out,so I went back. They do not have the 3D scanning equipment at there office. I had to walk 3 blocks to another office with a trainee and the assistant who did the impressions of my mouth. The assistant was learning how to use the scanner and kept hitting my teeth with the camera. I asked her to stop because I was worried she was going to chip my teeth. The trainee finished the scan and said I should get a call within a few weeks. After waiting a month, I called to see if my Invisalign were in. I was told they just came in. I scheduled an appointment for the next week. Dr. Park put my attachments on and her assistant bonded them with a blue light. I was not offered any protective glasses during the procedure so I kept my eyes closed. After she was finished my bottom lip felt funny. I asked for a mirror and I could see that her assistant had burned the bottom of my lip with the blue light. Dr. Park rinsed my bottom lip with water, she apologized and said don't worry they will go away. i still have a visible blister on my bottom lip. That night I was in so much pain from the blisters and the attachments were so sharp they were cutting into my upper lip. I called the next morning and was informed Dr. Park only works on Mondays. I came in and was seen by a different assistant who filed down all the sharp attachments. She told me that if I had any further issues to make an appointment with Dr. Park. This is unacceptable! I was never informed that Dr. Park was only available on Mondays. I called Dr. Park and told her that i was unhappy with my care and was going to change providers and wanted a full refund. She said hasn't received any form of payment and that i would have to call WGDS and ask them. I reached out to WGDS for my money back and have only talked to Victoria (the office manager), who said I would be charged the $2000 lab fee. This is unacceptable. I was told Sophia (not sure who she is) would reach out to me but has not. Be aware WGDS is after your money only and doesn't care if you are satisfied or not! This is the worst care I have ever received and I have reported them to the BBB and the State Board Of Dentistry. I hope anyone reading does not patronize this business. read more
