We had a very, very large tree in our yard, which was too close to the house. The tree was 30-40 feet tall, with half a dozen very large extensions growing out of two massive trunks. In addition, its massive roots were exposed, taking up a significant portion of the lawn. I received three estimates from highly rated tree service companies and decided to select Willow Tree. I selected Willow Tree because of the quick response, professional opinion and thorough explanation of the removal process, and the price - they came in with the lowest estimate. They came out on the scheduled date, and we watched in amazement as they methodically took down this incredibly large tree! It was such a professional job - they had their own crane, wood chipper, numerous trucks and equipment. It was impressive to say the least. They removed the tree in one day - then returned and removed the massive stump and root structure. The result - a beautiful, smooth looking area that you would never know a tree had been there! Took a "small job" in an era that many companies aren't interested because "it's not worth their time" Only withheld 5th Star because they charged almost $500 for a small job that took their crew all of 15 minutes to do.... This was the second time we used Willow Tree & Landscape Service. Last year we had them raise the canopy on two large trees by our pool and prune three other trees. They did an amazing job on the trees and their cleanup was was spectacular. Today we had eight large trees pruned, two dead trees taken down, and two large tree limb piles removed. All the work was done as promised and looks fantastic. They raked and cleaned-up all their debris and anything that was already there from past wind storms. I was so impressed. It looks cleaner now than when they arrived. I will definitely continue to use Willow. read more

I had an oak tree that was over 125 years old and in decline. It was three feet from my house and we were fearful of it falling on the house. Willow's crew did a fabulous job removing it. If you need lawn repair and renovations, Ed is not who you want. Through the years, I have been a customer of Ed's, always liked him. I wrote him a favorable review when he took down some of my trees. So for me to leave a review like this, you know he did a bad job. He advertises that he does lawn repair. Told us he wouldn't charge us until we were thrilled with our lawn, so we hired him. He killed the whole damn back lawn and half of the front. We paid him $1300 for a lawn that is nothing but mud. He is not a nice guy when you have complaints about his work. He told us our lawn was the only lawn that he couldn't fix and he didn't know the problem. He took no responsibility for the mess he made of our lawn - even though he was the only one who touched it. Still he sent us invoices. One for soil amendments, which obviously killed the lawn. The other for seed and topsoil, which he says he put down. We did not pay for the seed and topsoil because it is still nothing but mud. However, he still sent an invoice knowing it was all mud. Ed takes no responsibility and wrong or not, he wants his money. You pay him to get rid of him. His line that he wouldn't charge us till we loved our lawn was sadly, another of his lies. He's not worth the trouble and he use to be good that is what is a shame There are a lot of good landscaping companies out there and sadly, Ed's company is not one of them anymore. read more

The crew arrived early and was able to remove an 80-100 ft oak tree- huge- with a diameter of about 50", neatly, efficiently and safely! They trimmed a few maples and cut down some dying limbs and were done in about 6 hours. After they left, the yard was cleaner than they found it! Their prices were similar to other companies and when I called they were able to deliver that day unlike other local companies that told me they couldn't give me a definite time line. Willow Tree Service recently took down a huge oak tree and pruned several others at my sons' property. I dealt with Bob. He came out and gave me a quote that was very detailed and the best price that I had gotten so far. My son lives out in Abington and his neighbor recommended Willow. I didn't know any other tree services from this area so I was a little nervous about how they would do. Well was I in for a surprise. Oscar came with his team of 3 other workers. They arrived on time, on the day they had scheduled. They got right to work cutting up the huge oak. They did not use any heavy machinery, (except the chipper) Everything was cut up and moved by physical strength. Oscar did a great job in tying off the limbs so that when the actual cut was made, the piece was slowly lowered tot he ground. The men worked very hard and took an hour off for lunch and siesta. Scott came to our home and give us an estimate for pruning 4 trees and the removal of a dead tree. We contracted Willow Tree because Scott said he would also be on the job when the work was being done. Scott and crew came today and did a great job. Cleaned up when finished and you would not know they were here, except for the fact that the trees looked shaped and the dead one is gone. They will be sending a crew in a few days to grind out the stump and prepare the area for seeding. My Husband and I will only use Willow Tree Service. They come out when they say they are. Ed is very professional and knows everything about Trees. We will never ever use another tree service. Willow pruned one very large tree and removed several other trees from our yard. We had 2 other companies prune that tree before and they did the best job. The trees they removed were tricky and they were very careful to not damage our house our property. They also cleaned up every branch of what was removed and even raked up small pieces. read more

Ian came out to look at our trees twice and gave us an estimate. We went with them after having three other estimates and unfortunately we wish we went with a different company. The first time they rescheduled us they did not even tell us till the day of after I emailed them asking when they would be there. I said okay and understood even though they never called to let us know. They rescheduled us for three weeks later. The day comes and it rains so they rescheduled us again for a week later. We thought why couldn't they reschedule us for the following a Monday but said whatever. They come that Friday and not until 12:30 and say the job will be finished but end up leaving huge tree parts in the middle of our yard all weekend long. Several last minute cancellations, same day mostly, and you only find out after you call them. Very frustrating if you planned your day around them showing up or scheduled work with another contractor around their expected completion of the project. I was agitated by the whole experience but had not considered writing an online review until I called and spoke with a woman who decided to begin the conversation by screaming at me (literally) as loud as she could when I questioned why they were cancelling our appt yet again. Quote was for wood to be "fireplace ready". The oak tree was cut into sections as big as tires on a tractor trailer. Had to hire someone else to cut the wood to size for the fireplace. Willow didn't respond to complaint except to bang on the door at 6 am for payment. Hire someone who employees reliable American workers, not Willow Tree Service in Willow Grove. All the workers left one guy at the stump. He cut halfway through and quit. The stump is 2 1/2 ft high. Willow ripped us off in a big way. Absolutely hands down the best service I've ever hired ! A huge tree fell on my roof and I was waiting for another service to hesitantly come out 3 days later . On a whim I called this company as I was running an errand . By the time I returned home from the errand - 3 HUGE TRUCKS WERE IN FRONT AND ON THE SIDE of my home removing the tree!!! They didn't worry about the payment they simply said they'd work with insurance and not to worry ( which I was and had no clue what steps to take) . They ALSO removed a tree from my shed and they hauled and cleaned everything ! Two weeks ago, I had a tree fall on my home. It disrupted my power and internet service. It also left a live electrical wire wrapped around the tree trunk. The tree debris extended to the length of my home and also blocked on the lane on my street. With that being said, Willow Tree Company came the day after power restored, and the live electrical wire posed no threat and removed the tree and its remnants. I cannot say enough great things about this company. Watching them remove everything was so interesting. The crew was very safety conscious, and I can't thank them enough for the great work they did. The cleanup was spectacular, and you would never have known that a large amount of tree debris was on my property, let alone the tree trunk. The remainder of the tree needs to come down as its branches extend over my home, and Willow is the company that I will use to complete the tree removal. They stated they would be back in "a Few Weeks" to cut down the tree. two months later I have not heard back. I called at least 4 times during the past few weeks and was told each time there would be a message on my voice mail later. There was not one. He sent me an email with a proposal ( the best price I had gotten) along with his insurance information.
