We were a tad late picking him up because the train was running behind but they said it wasn't a problem and we got him just in the nick of time. They even allow dogs to spend the night, if the train is late, free of charge!! Since I don't speak dog I can't 100% say how Smax enjoyed himself but he seemed tuckered our and happy to see me at the end of a long day of playing! I highly recommend this place for pups because they are very affordable, friendly staff, and located right down the street from the train!

We were in Durango to take the Durango-Silverton narrow gauge steam train that…read moredeparts Durango shortly after 8am and because this place is not in town we had no choice but to board the furry friend for two nights so we dropped the pooch the night before the trip When I called from Silverton I was told that because he is very submissive and non aggressive they were going to isolate him for the night so others wont make him feel as scared with all the barking. At the time they were only open until 6pm so knowing the train arrived at 6 there was no way we could be there to pick him up the day of the trip so that is why we paid for the second night, and I see now that their hours have been extended until 7:30pm , when we got there the morning of the third day and they went to get him, it took a while for the handler to come back but when the handler finally came with the dog we were surprised to see that the dog would not stop complaining very loudly and when I took him outside he had me use three poop bags and gave me the impression he had been holding for a whole day or so. He peed like he had drank a litter of water all at once Apparently nobody checked on him on the other side of the building where it was more quiet. He complained all the way back to where we were staying like we have never seen before, he made a point and I promised myself not to ever board him anymore anyplace, you never know how well they communicate with each other. He promptly falls asleep when we get home and isn't so wound up and barking at the neighbors for the rest of the day! This reduces the stress levels for all of us. :0) This weekend, I had to go out of town for a work seminar and left all three dogs at CC for boarding. Just picked them up today, and all greeted me with happy faces and big smiles. They'd been playing and having fun and weren't sad, lonely or upset. When I asked for some cat advice she was so knowledgeable and gave me lots of tips to do at home for when I came back. This was much appreciated and I can already tell they are working and the kitties are all the happier for it. Yesterday was one of the saddest days of my long life. We had to put down our faithful 16 year old…read moreservice dog, but just plain pet dog in her older years. I'd been trying to make "the" decision for many weeks. Finally, I texted our vet, fully knowing it was my decision to make. I gave some worrisome symptoms in the text and he immediately texted back that we may be facing a serious crisis, which could be really hard on my beloved Taylor and me and my husband. Long story short, Dr. Thompson came to our home and in the most gentle of settings, Taylor left us. She was heavily sedated and yet was able to wag her tail moments before the final medications were given and she left us peacefully. This gentle vet left his office and came to our home within two hours of my text and returned to his patients soon after. We will be grateful for his intuitiveness, his knowing I could not quite make the necessary choice without his help. This man is so much more than a professional vet, he is a wonderful human being.
