We LOVE Heather!…read more We have a 16 month old Havanese we named Maggie May. We adopted her when she was just 8 weeks old. Maggie May always had loose stool, so after a few months we decided to switch from one commercial dry kibble to another. If anything, she got worse so we continued to try different dry kibbles hoping it was just a food allergy or intolerance. The diarrhea got so bad we needed to consult our Vet. Over the course of the next 5 months, our Vet ran every blood test possible and did multiple stool samples. Even though every test came back normal poor Maggie May was subjected to 3 rounds of strong antibiotics which caused the diarrhea to be pure brown water. Maggie is and was a very happy puppy, ate well, slept well and played a lot. This made us even more convinced it was just a matter of finding the right diet for her. After searching for the best Naturopathic Nutritionist we met Heather. She had read all of Maggie's medical charts before our meeting. She came prepared with LOTS of information and great handouts too. She said she was confident she could help us. Heather immediately started Maggie May on a raw diet with a Probiotic and another supplement to help with her gastrointestinal issues. Heather said we should see a difference in just a few days. We were so hopeful. THE VERY NEXT DAY Maggie had perfect bowel movements!!! We were amazed and cautious about believing this was going to last. It has been 2 weeks now and we are positive she is cured!!! Heather is a great listener and full of researched information. She is available by e-mail and phone to answer our questions. I have been a few times after researching new parks to take my Golden and she loves it. Location is excellent and only 2 or 3 minutes off the highway. Each time there hasn't been anyone else there and we've had the entire place to ourselves. The park is built into a natural slope so it's an even better workout for your pups and plenty of space to run even though it's not a huge park. The parking is convenient being directly in front of the main entry and there are bio bags available too. Pro tip....bring your own water and I suggest some towells to clean up afterwards because it can be very muddy if it's rainy season. All in all, a great dog park that is close, convenient and most importantly no other dogs or people there that usually have the potential to make a negative experience for others.

We were informed that 1 tooth (706) needs to be pulled and we authorized it. But the vet accidentally pulled a wrong tooth (806). Instead of tooth on the left side, the stable tooth on the right side was pulled. Vet called us about it. Since our dog is already there sedated, we agreed to pull the problem tooth (706). Ended up 2 teeth were pulled. Dogwood Team admitted the mistake, apologized and said the mis-pulled tooth 806 is a baby tooth anyway. Xray shows pre-extraction photos. Top photo is the 806 healthy tooth accidentally pulled and bottom photo is 706 problem tooth. Regardless of whether the accidentally extracted tooth was a baby tooth or adult tooth, my primary concern is that the wrong tooth was removed. We did not authorize removal of that tooth. One more thing - One of my dog's nails was cut extremely short during the visit. Since returning home, my dog has been non-stop repeatedly licking the affected nail and appears to be very bothered by it. See photo

We've been working with trainer Michelle for over 4 years with our pups both current and those who…read morehave passed. She's so great at addressing each dog's needs both in daycare and boarding but even more so in training..We had a cranky senior Dachshund we never thought would be able to interact with other dogs or people, who eventually was able to go to daycare and even board during vacations. We currently have two Xolos, Mexican hairless dogs, who have both been with Michelle since they arrived. The older going through puppy classes and when she was older, she did a 2 week board and train with great results. Our younger pup, is on a year training plan, even getting the special experience of a training trip to California where he was exposed to so many new experiences helping him grow into a confident young man. Xolos are a special breed but not the easiest.With Michelle's guidance for both the pups and us, we're all working together to enjoy our life together to the fullest.
