New Castle Airport Terminal (viewed from the front).

I had a great experience here and will highly recommend you to consider this over Philly cause it has a lot of great things about it but there are also some things to keep in mind. Pros: - Easy to navigate! Only one gate so you can't get lost. - Cheap airfare. Around $80 per person when I went to Orlando, FL! - Free Parking! Cons: - Barely any food options. Only a cafe before security and vending machines after. - Not too much destinations to fly to but they aren't bad. (Orlando, Tampa, Chicago, Denver and Houston). So overall a great alternative to Philly and finally commercial air service from Wilmington, Delaware. I'd definitely recommend flying here if you want to save money.

Cute and easy to navigate. There's only one gate :) They have a few vending machines, but that's it so eat before flying.

Ask the Community - Wilmington Airport

I'm considering flying Avelo for a return trip from Tampa in May. I'll be traveling with a senior and want to know if there is a ramp to get on/off the plane or do you walk up/down stairs to get on/off plane?

BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport - SW has a lot of flights here

My favorite airport to fly out of and you know if you live in the DMV we have plenty of choices…read more The drop off is super easy as every airline is along the same corridor. Keep in mind, if you have an early flight that the luggage drop off counter usually doesn't open until 2 hours before your flight. We've had 6am flights where we had to wait for the counter to open before proceeding to security. TSA is pretty efficient here and we've always used TSA Precheck to breeze through. On the other side of security there's a nice BWI lounge that serves a handful of food. If you're there for breakfast make sure to try the Old Baby cream cheese. On return, baggage claim is simple but there is a separate section for oversized luggage. Don't be like me and wait for your car seat at the regular belt. If you're calling an Uber to get back home the app will tell you which door to stand outside of. Once you're at that door make sure you're on the curb furthest away from the airport. The first row of lanes is dedicated for shuttles and buses and Uber drivers cannot access it.

Yelp Review 2026 #190:…read more I had a layover at BWI airport. I landed at gate E and had to catch my next flight at gate B. I have Global Entry and TSA Precheck so the process was much easier and faster. However, there was no signage where to exit. I found somebody to ask and directed me to the right direction. Then, I encountered 2 separate lines: connecting flights on the left and exit on the right and I was told to go to the right which didn't make sense since I need to catch my connecting flight but CBP agent told me I need to exit and go through security again and get to terminal B. So, why the signage? It's either no signage or if they do have signage, it's wrong. I made it to security before heading to the domestic terminals. The touchless TSA Precheck was closed off so I went to regular Precheck. I told the TSA agent I had touchless Precheck and he told me "next time go to touchless Precheck!" I asked him if he has seen anybody in line for touchless Precheck, no, because it's roped off meaning it's closed! He then drops my passport and boarding pass. There are moving walkways to expedite hopping from terminal E to B. However, people were blocking the walkway and not moving! If you're standing, stay on the right and let people that are walking pass on the left! It just seemed like everyone's first day on earth. The restrooms aren't the best nor the cleanest. They don't have good options for lounges so I skipped that and went to eat at two airport restaurants. They do have a nice selection of restaurants.

TNT Air loves aviation…read more Tom and Angie Noetzel are the owners of TNT Air. Tom is a very accomplished pilot and excellent instructor. Angie is everyone's mom. She just takes great care of you and has a wonderful sense of humor. I started going to TNT Air a few years ago after deciding to get my instrument rating. Tom was my instructor over the next year or so. I am a better pilot today because of Tom. He is calculated in his thinking and precise in his skills both as a pilot and teacher. What I love most about Tom is his passion for flying and dedication to proper procedure. He is a mild mannered individual, unassuming and completely approachable. Assets that serve him well. Tom is calm in the face of any adverse condition. Relying on his training and capability, Tom quickly corrects the mistakes his students make. As a corporate pilot, I know this same skill to control stress has personally served him, his crew/passengers and the aircraft well. Lastly, Tom remains a student of the profession. He trains and studies more than any pilot I know. While this may not be rare, as we pilots are always training, Tom takes it to a level few would attempt. Tom and Angie have created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I would very often just go there to hang out and participate in the daily "hangar" talk. It's the kind of place that just invites you to learn and share. The students, friends and family that frequent the airport would all agree that it has become a bit of a second home for many of us. If you are looking for a place to train, get your license or achieve the next level personally or professionally, TNT Air is your place. If you need fuel or just want a great place to stop at on your journey, TNT Air is your place. If you want to hang out with people who love aviation and will welcome you into the conversation, TNT Air is your place. By the way, I did pass my IFR and started working on my commercial rating. I now own a plane and I keep it here at Pottstown Muni (N47) under the care of Tom and Angie. That's how much I love this place and its owners.
