I didn't really have a problem with them, as long as you take care of your apartment and pay rent on time, things will be ok. I've come to really appreciate independent landlords who own single houses and rent out to you Stuff gets fixed much faster and they don't rip you off your security deposit, and they can be a little more lenient if rent isn't paid on time because of an emergency.

For the self walking tour the have over 50 Christmas trees decorated as are the various bedrooms, living rooms, ballrooms, etc...There are plenty of guides that can give you history and stories of the original owners and how this estate came to be. The tour 1 hour tour was nice but a bit pricey at $25 each and they did not honor the senior discount on the day we went. Still, a nice walk through.

Unfortunately her flight cancellation, prevented her arrival. The Henry Ford Museum was gracious to pivot and offer everyone FREE admission to the museum for our inconvenience. I thank my Yelp Bestie for an annual membership pass that she won for two people. I am truly grateful. This was a prime time to turn lemons into lemonade! We decided to check out the DaVinci special exhibition, shop the Museum Store and have lunch at the Plum Market Kitchen, too. The DaVinci exhibit was amazing. I had no idea of how many inventions Leonardo DaVinci made. I was only familiar with the Mona Lisa painting and the Safety Bridge. The Room of Mirrors was pretty cool. Apartments are decent for the price, but make sure to view your specific (not just one like it!!)…read moreapartment before you sign the lease, some of them are a dump, and they don't tell you beforehand. They charge two different "administrator fees" when you sign, both presumably for the same thing. Front desk staff is not afraid to raise their voices and act unprofessionally. Occasionally earwigs pop out of nowhere. Kitchen and bathroom are dated but not bad. Make sure to report every little dent in the wall on your deposit form! There are way more than you'd think at first glance. The balcony's are awesome, probably 20'x6'. The biggest thing is that the Ac and heat is all in one system, so you either get hot or cold. They switch to ac as late as possible and switch back to heat as soon as possible (I guess that's what you get when heat and ac are partially included in rent). During the fall your apartment will be hotter than it is outside. Residents have no say over the switch. They also have no door buzzers. There's a system there that has been halfway installed and left non functioning for the entire 2 years I've rented here, after numerous promises to get them working. Neighbors are all great though, very safe complex. Overall decent apartments, but generally not worth the hassle of the property managers
