Stopped in after a visit in Elkhorn after seeing their electric sign showing a sale on ribs. I must say that I was thankful this evening at dinner as the rack was one of the best that I have had in some time. They had enough fat to be tasty but they were not floating in grease as you often get from the supermarket. We will be back. read more

What a great find, new to the area and stumbled across this little gem. The people who work here are so kind and friendly, the ladies were anyways. Bought bone in ribeye steaks they were thick and delicious. Meat sticks were absolutely DELICIOUS. Cheese curds and sauces, so much to pick from. Sadly the pork butt l bought there for pulled pork was a 4 pound package. I was sorted fatty parts of pork. I ended up throwing the whole thing out once it was cooked because the meat could not be properly separated. I feel like I was cheated on purpose by the meat market packing all these odd pieces together and making it into supposedly a full pork butt. It wasn't it was a scam to get rid of fat and gristle. read more

Maybe "country" people know that a cured ham from this market needed to be eaten within 7 days of buying but i did not. No expiration date on the ham to give anyone a clue. Maybe some sort of mention of how to care for your products should be given for people typically buy from a grocery store. When I called to ask about the yellow milky substance on the ham this is what I was told. $30 in the garbage. Won't be going back to this place ever. read more

I did my yelp search for meat shops while in the area and found this nice place, this is why I keep a cooler in my car because you never know when you will find something good. Commercial store deli products has its place but I like to get some craft quality products from local meat shops. The place is somewhat small but it's packed with meats, cheeses, condiments, eggs, seafood, sausages, dogs, meat sticks, chicken, beer, wine, smoked meats, hams, etc etc. I generally look the whole place over because I can't take everything home with me and grab the few items that catch my eye. First off meat sticks is a mandatory sample with bacon being second and I'm open to anything else. I grabbed a couple packages of meat sticks, summer sausage and cottage bacon that I have never had before and never seen either. Cottage bacon people, I can't wait to cook it up. Eggs with great craft bacon always makes for a great breakfast. The gyro patties sounded spectacular until I was told it's all beef with Gyro seasoning and no lamb in them so I passed on them. The haberno habanero bbq snack sticks were lean and tasty with a delayed heat that creeps up on you that I liked, I can't comment on the rest yet. Overall I really liked the place and as an added extra bonus the snack sticks were buy one get one free and my other items were $1 off so I took home $25 worth of items for $16, weekly specials so that's cool. read more

I absolutely love this place... and I don't eat meat, but my husband does! I buy their amazing shrimp every week! The steaks are cut to order and apparently very tasty. My husband and our dinner guests were raving about the flavor! Everyone that works there is so helpful! They go out of their way to make sure you get what you want! My first experience was when I ordered a fresh turkey for Thanksgiving 2021. I have never had anything but frozen grocery store turkeys. Never again! The fresh turkey and the service I got from Wilson's is better than any grocery store. I used to buy portions of hogs and steer when I had a full house. Buying the meat at their store, from their farm, has me ready to fill my standup freezer again! So far, I've had the stuffed porked loin, the "Wisconsin" stuffed chicken breast and, of course, the turkey. ALL AMAZING! I also purchased the rolls of beef/liver dog food. Since I make my own dog food, this was a nice lean addition to the veggies and brown rice mix I make them. I have rib steaks and ground beef in the freezer, cheeses and summer sausage in the fridge and their card in my wallet. Ill be back soon!! read more

On a recent trip to Lake Geneva, my sister and I detoured through Delevan and Elkhorn. We spotted a sign for Wilson Farm Meats advertising "Daily Special: Top Sirloin Steaks $5.99 lb" among some other tempting bargains, so we decided to stop by. Even though it was almost closing time, I was able to have two of the sirloin steaks cut for me. The store is a real butcher shop, where you can have meat cut to order. They have fresh meats of all varieties; smoked such as hams, sliced ham, bacon, smoked pork chops (yum!); sausages; hot dogs; chicken; cheese and cheese curds; soda, beer, and wine; and gourmet items such as jams, jellies, and pie fillings. There are also freezer cases filled with plenty of the items they sell, if you prefer. I bought two frozen packs of their ground chuck, a frozen pork tenderloin, and a package of homemade portobello mushroom-Swiss burgers. The steaks were great! This is the best butcher shop I've ever been to. In this day of massive grocery stores, there is still a place for a great butcher. This place has an amazing selection, so I had to take my hubby in to check it out. We met Bob right away while browsing the cases and could not have found a more friendly, engaging and knowledgeable guide to this secret gem full of tasty fresh local meats, cheeses and specialty items like canned salads, pickles and more. When I was growing up, my family went to the butcher all the time to get meat. As time went on, the big grocers started doing their own butchering. But not long after that, the big grocers stopped doing the full blown butchering, only cutting steaks and chops from already butchered meat. I thought the says of a butcher were over. About 9 years ago, my wife and I bought a house up here in Elkhorn. We discovered this butcher shop quite by accident. We started buying meat from them, and discovered that we could buy a 1/2 pig. The pigs were locally raised and treated as humanely as possible. (That's a huge plus for us!) Since then we have bought our pork exclusively from them, buying the 1/2 pig every year. We know they partner with other producers of meat who operate the same way they do. We now buy much of our meat there. In all these years, to discover a butcher shop now brings me back to my youth. I'll never shop for meat anywhere else. read more

Wilson's has been my go-to place for meats for a couple years now. They recently hired a wonderful lady that makes pre-made deli items such as twice baked potatoes, stuffed peppers and more. She makes the BEST stuffed mushrooms I've ever had, I can't get enough of them. I like to cook myself but sometimes life gets busy and picking something up and throwing it in the oven is an easy option after a long work day and fast food is just plain gross. I highly recommend Wilson's and they are always accommodating and let me order their larger tubs of salsa which is also amazing. They have a restaurant / deli kiddy corner from it which I anticipate to be amazing as well when it opens. read more

I was excited to shop at this butchers as I'm new to the area. I was very disappointed with the lack of Covid protection measures. Neither clerk checking out the customers had a mask or gloves on. Also, the lady that checked me out bagged all of my heavy meats and other groceries and eggs in one bag which did not travel home well. I won't be returning. read more

I almost don't want the world to know about Wilson Farm Meats. I first tried their meats about 8 years ago when they used to have a booth at the Brookfield Farmer's Market and their brats were honestly the best that I've ever tried. If you live in the Milwaukee Area, they are a bit of a hike down in Elkhorn. But, it's well worth it for the quality of the local raised meats, fine butchering, great prices, and friendly service. I know that another butcher opened up earlier this year in Milwaukee that focuses on local free range meats and they get most of their pork from the Wilson Stock. And, they sell it for twice the price. I'll do the 30 minute drive down to Wilson because they rock!!! read more

What an amazing little gem! This is the only place to buy meat, and if you have the time, stop by for their grill outs on the weekend. It is the best burger I've ever had! Wilson Farm Meats - Staff very friendly. Selection is very wide and good quality products. We stopped in on a Saturday and we were very pleased to find such high quality meats. We were extremely pleased after trying the canadian bacon and the liver sausage. We purchased bacon wrapped gourmet chicken breasts and cannot wait to try them. This place is worth the trip - bring your cooler. The staff is very friendly and helped us find the craft bratwurst - the brats are on the grill now, the asiago, jalepeno and bacon flavor. I have never purchased a pig to be slaughtered until 3 weeks ago. I was never told that the normal wait time was 3 weeks by the pig owner nor in my inquiry from Wilsons. I was told that they lost two people and the boss was on vacation that I was on top of the stack and should be done at that point was the end of week two. My husband called at the end of week two because we were told by Heath that it would be done and the price would be reduced and he was taking 40 dollars off the total. When my husband called the lady that answered the phone when he asked if it was done, this lady acted like he was bothering her! She set the phone down and said oh my god three times! She came back to the phone after being on hold for a long time and said should be ready by Thursday and gave him the full price. Friday morning we went to get it and when I did I asked to speak to the manager just to let him know that this three ring circus could have been avoided if we were told it would take three weeks to process it. The lady went to get the manager and when he started to speak he slammed the ticket on the counter and said I have been dealing with this for 6 years and went off. Forget it he said I am tired of this I will buy the pig! I said no we paid for the pig already we do want the pig and he continued with his very aggressive rant! So we did not get our pig, and seriously Wilsons maybe it's time to find a new manager or maybe he needed a longer vacation! Your store looked great and I heard your bacon and ham was great but never again will we get anything from you because of how we were treated, and your employees should not be guessing when things will be done! If we were told from the beginning it would take three weeks all this bad, aggressive service could have been avoided! read more
