On a recent Monday night, we were driving around looking for a place with a view to grab some drinks and dinner. Lauderdale Landing fit the bill so we pulled in and went inside. The place was pretty empty which was fine with me as there were plenty of seats at the large bar and a bartender just waiting to take our order. She said the kitchen was closing soon (it was around 8pm) so I ordered a club sandwich and my friend had the ribs. The food came up quickly and was very good. And those drinks? Perfectly poured and served in reusable plastic cups that some enterprising realtor had thoughtfully put her name on! We saved a couple of ours as they work well in the boat and other outside events. They also have a pool table for those of you who like that sort of thing and plenty of parking. I'm not deducting any stars for this but my only wish would be that they had some way to adjust the air conditioning temperature. It was FREEZING inside and the manager said there was no way to adjust it. I really doubted that but we had to sit in a range of seats before finding one that the air wasn't full on blowing at you! Go for the awesome lake views, fun people watching, laid back vibe, and drinks... The food and service are just okay, but as my Brother-in-Law shared with me, LL is the longest standing (and perhaps only existing) restaurant on Lauderdale Lakes. I went in and enjoyed a shaken signature lemonade cocktail during a recent visit and we took food to go a couple of times. If/ when you go, just keep your expectations in check... the hot pretzel and sweet potato fries were more of a hit than the chicken wings and fish tacos for our family. Had a great dinner with our friends at Lauderdale Landing this evening! The bloody Mary was fantastic! Our meals were great as well! The french fries that came with the fried cheese curds were a little overdone but the ambience was great. We sat outside. There was music and the view was gorgeous. Our server was great as well. We went in there on Sunday with our hiking group at about 3 o'clock. They had no problem, accommodating us as we had called earlier to tell them we are coming. We requested separate checks because it's easier with a hiking group and they made that very easy for us. The food was excellent. The Parmesan crusted grouper was fresh and delicious. Really good bar food. Someone described this place as a "cheers vibe". We would definitely agree with that. We went on a slow Monday night and it almost seemed like we walked into someone's house. This was my first time visiting the area, and Lauderdale Landing was where our friends took us to dinner. The restaurant is situated right on the water, and it's beautiful! We opted to sit out on the patio, and we made the right choice. It was a warm evening, and the view was spectacular. We ordered the grilled cheese dippers ahead of time, and those were amazing! The tomato bisque was the perfect accoutrement. Not too thick, the perfect amount of creaminess, and grilled cheese is ALWAYS good. My entrée was not superb, however - the cheese was barely melted, and the tortilla was untoasted. Would definitely not order that again. We had a really poor experience here. We went to pick up pizzas and I wanted to have a shot with my friend for our walk home. The servers at the bar acted like we didnt exist and they gave us a cold shoulder when we said we had pick up but just wanted a quick drink. Very weird experience, it was not even that crowded. Tonight I was with my buddy who has a service dog. We waited for an outside table and have many times been seated with his service dog with no question. Today we were questioned by the waitress and told a new policy was not to allow any dogs outside for seating. My buddy Asked to speak with the manager. Sue approached and identified herself as the owner and questioned him as his dog did not have a service jacket. My buddy explained he could supply the jacket and was not on the dog as it was very hot out. When he returned the owner seemed not to acknowledge all the ADA laws. My buddy just reminded her that he was a loyal customer an would not return as a customer any longer. Sue told him she had never seen him before she was more concerned with safety of her staff tripping over the dogs and getting dog hair in the food. The restaurant has great atmosphere and the food was prepared superbly with fresh ingredients. I ordered the chicken tacos and dipped them in guacamole, the finished flavor profile was divine. The spice of the chipotle lime sauce paired with the creamy guacamole. It really hit the spot after hiking 12 miles at John Muir trail. The Lauderdale Landing is an institution on Lauderdale Lakes. There is a significant breadth of food selection(for a lake restaurant). The pizza and burgers are excellent. Half price pizza on Thursdays for dine-in. My personal favorite food after the pizza is the Ceviche. Good beer and drink selection. Great outside bar, bags game, and seating. Friendly service from young staff. Pull up your boat, tie it up, walk up sit down have a drink and relax. If you are in a hurry or want white cloth service go to the Four Seasons. If you ready to relax, want a unique lake dining experience with friends and family, good food, reasonable prices and friendly service there is nothing better than The Lauderdale Landing. Jump in the boat and head over. Or if you are boat-less just take the relaxing drive through the woods. Either way...dress down, go chill and enjoy. read more

There's a statewide mask mandate and they aren't following it. That's simply unacceptable this late into 2020. Not a single waiter, waitress, or bartender had a mask on which means that the restaurant doesn't care to follow basic public health codes. It means they don't care about their employees health. It means they don't care about their customers' health. Or the health of the community and those of us around the lake. It means they don't care about our friends or our families who are all at risk from this. When places do this they also risk prolonging the period before we can get back to normal. It isn't hard. You just wear a mask. And it makes you wonder? Do their employees wash their hands after using the restroooms? What other corners are they cutting? We came in last week on a week night when we assumed it would be less crowded. It wasn't packed but every table was full and not spaced any further than normal. No masks. Yikes. We have been to one other patio this summer while visiting family in St. Louis. Every member of the staff was wearing masks and they were handing them out at the door if you didn't have one. Every other table was blocked off to keep distance. That's a restaurant that's trying. I love the Landing. I don't want them to go away. I know this is a tough year for restaurants and I'd love to feel comfortable eating there and giving them my money. But to STILL be refusing to wear masks even when there's a statewide order to do so and when we know that they are extremely effective at stopping the spread of this virus is not ok. read more

Want to give this place a good review but...you really should run a restaurant with bus staff. When there are more dirty tables than customers waiting, it should be clear. Updating my review. Business is way under-staffed. Seating was an awkward process and took much longer than told. When seated, I was told we couldn't sit on the outside deck with a dog. When I asked to speak to the manager, Sue, she told me we couldn't be seated on the deck. It was a new policy. She indicated she was the owner. When I explaining that I had eaten there several times her response was "I've never seen you here". So much for 17 years of patronage as a local lake resident. When I told her my dog was a service dog, she said he was not. When I put in his service jacket, which was not previously required, she told me that since I didn't have a handicap, he was t a service dog. Then she asked me what my handicap was. I informed her that she should as an owner, read up in the Ada rules and she told me she did. She told me we could not eat on this deck. All other seats were taken so she said we would have to wait for a table after we had already waited. I informed her that although her issue with the dog was unfortunate, her treatment of me and my family as patrons was rude and not hospitable for a restaurant and a loyal customer. As an active community member, I will no longer patronize this restaurant and do my best to share my story with others in the community. I strongly suggest sensitivity training for Sue and a role in the back of house, avoiding direct contact with patrons. read more

A great little hideaway on Lauderdale Lakes. Sunday's are $0.50 wings and on Thursday's there are Burger Special's. Their pizza is really tasty and so are the sandwiches. The summer is a awesome time to stop by and watch a sunset or just hangout and have a Lemon Shake Up. During the winter months, it's still fun. The Landing suffers from every single classic a terrible restaurant suffers from: slow service, below average food, dirty tables, etc. however today The Landing really convinced me once and for all though that it will never live up to expectations. We waited for over an hour for our food, and when it came it was incorrect. I asked for an itemized receipt which was met with dumbfounded looks as it would be so insane to check it to make sure I wasn't charged for what I didn't get. As the only game in town (well, on these lakes, at least), Lauderdale Landing does an A-OK job as both a watering hole and a feed trough. Change a couple of things, and I could see me becoming a fan, given I would be in the area regularly(which I won't be). Why the hell would you not have fried cheese curds, especially given that you obviously have a deep fryer? They have onion rings (great!), fries (also good), Fish Fry Fridays (didn't make it here for that), wings, poppers, chicken tenders. Shit, the even have fried mozzeralla sticks! Ditch the sticks and get some kick ass curds in there, will ya? Do it now!! My friend and I opened the bar on the Saturday after Labor Day. They have some ok beers on tap, and a seemingly good collection of bottled beer. But we were doing shots and drinking cocktails. Some were weak, some were par and maybe 1 was strong. They had their TVs going with College Football, but unfortunately didn't have Big 10 network. They did have WiFi, however. Food was good. They serve brunch and my friend got French Toast Sticks which were pretty tasty. I had a BLT which had tons of bacon on it and came with tasty fries. I also got a basket of rings and they were hot and crispy. Sysco frozen product rules the roost here. Another customer ordered pizza, and when it came out I had buyers remorse. I wish I had more time, with which I would have come back for their pizza. Finally, the service was friendly and pretty much on par. They even let us have control of one of the TVs so we could choose what game we wanted to watch. Good food. Bad management. They have ran out of ingredients multiple times such as cheese, lettuce, etc. They weren't able to do any pizzas, salads, quesadillas, among other things because of this. They also need to put up a sign for a gas only dock for boaters who need gas on the lake.
