He was very arrogant and rude to me for what seemed like no reason. It became obvious they simply didn't want to deal with my older car. He proceeded to make up a bunch of excuses and claim that they couldn't legally inspect my car. When I asked to show me this in writing or speak to the actual licensed inspector, he refused. I went down the street to shamrock automotive and they did my inspection with no problems. Bob the owner also confirmed my suspicion that I was lied to by the service at premier. No coolant/water in the radiator. After letting the car cool a bit, I limped it half a mile to the Belair exit where thankfully, I found DJ's. I left the car at their convenient drop off station with a key, a note, and a prayer that they could look at it in the am. Rick the Service Manager called me in the am to let me know they would look at it and let me know what they found. Long story short, Skip, my mechanic ran thorough diagnostics and while there was a myriad of things that COULD have been the issue, thankfully, it was just the thermostat. Skip replaced the thermostat, tested it, then refilled and bled the anti-freeze before testing it AGAIN before sending me on my way to SC same day. Service was the absolute best I have ever experienced at an auto repair shop and their price was more than fair! Rick even called me the next morning to be sure I made it back to SC alright! So not thinking it was a major problem, we had requested an oil change and said go ahead with the new tires & fix the side light. The next day rolls around and we're told they can't find the part. The car is old, so we're thinking oh my! We just spent close to $700 dollars for a car we'll have to scrap?! Why would they do the other work if they didn't have a supplier for the side light? Not feeling very confident in their response or expertise, we contacted our mechanic in NJ. Told him the issue, and in less than 3 min (no exaggeration) he knew exactly what we needed and where to get it. When we told him the shop here in MD couldn't find the part he laughed. He told us I guess they've never heard of Amazon. We were going to NJ two days later & swung by to see our mechanic. He pulled up the part on Amazon. Told my husband exactly what to order and said if they couldn't figure it out after that to bring it back to him to fix. The part was $8 bucks! Just shy of $800 dollars later & our $8 dollar part procured via Amazon, the car was back on the road. I called immediately and was told to bring the car back. When I arrived and calmly explained what I believed the problem to be, the young woman at the front desk responded with smirks and a laughing attitude, as if I was lying or trying to get over on their company. Her unprofessional, dismissive behavior made me feel belittled from the moment I walked in. It got worse from there. Instead of being treated with respect as a paying customer with a legitimate concern, I was met with rudeness, hostility, and complete dismissal by the staff. I was yelled at, spoken to in a harsh tone, and talked over every time I tried to explain the timeline. I left feeling disrespected, unheard, and honestly shaken by how aggressively I was spoken to. As a Black woman, the way I was addressed made me feel not only disrespected but also singled out in a discriminatory and demeaning way. All I asked for was for the work they performed to be rechecked -- especially considering the amount of money I had just spent. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience and spoken to as if I was trying to scam them, even though my concern began the very next day after their repair. So I decided to go with it. Dropped off Monday for diagnostic, told her I'd need it back the next day as I have work, she was Overnighting the parts, said that will be fine. Tuesday roughly 2 o'clock in the afternoon I call she said the part was running late, said it would be there "any minute" (i know what that means) and told me it'll be done today she'd give me a call. Never calls. 430 rolls around and I decided let's call again.She tells me it's not done. So I brought up that I was a little confused because she said it could be done today and I still haven't heard whether you guys are going to take a look at my transmission.She proceeded to freak out. Yelling at me. "F*** you motherf*****" and hangs up. Proceeded to play phone tag because she wouldn't speak to me like an adult, just kept hanging up. I asked the gentleman behind the counter to explain to me what's been done so i could drive it away as is and I was told to leave by him too. I genuinely don't understand. After this she bursts out the door at me, I'm standing by the front door, have no clue what to do cause I wasn't exactly sure her intentions. After that I just threw my hands up and left. Unfortunately I couldn't get anywhere with non emergency police numbers earlier. I just wanted to leave with my property at that point. It was strongly recommended that I try to sell it. When I took it to Morgan's I was looking to see if I could trade it in although I couldn't really afford even a used car. But, Mr. Morgan took one look at it and said he could fix. 4 days later the damaged metal underneath the car had been welded and fixed. At half the price. Morgan's is the best. I've brought it back a couple of more times for far less extensive work and had the same great result. They are very responsible, professional and pleasant.
