The inspection staff and shop manager was verbally abusive when you question their work. Then a third employee decided it is ok to punch a customer in the face. I don't care how heated a discussion gets you don't assault your customers. Interestingly enough I contacted the CEO Mike Montgomery via email regarding this matter and as of 5/4/24 he has not responded. It would seem if a customer took the time to contact the owner due to issues with his employees to include necessitating a Cecil County Sheriffs response you would respond and engage said customer? I am really a pretty reasonable person, but when staff give me the proverbial middle finger when I speak to them and then another staff member physically assaults me I tend to become a lot less reasonable. Updates below in reverse order by date: 5/9/24 UPDATE: Maryland State Police (MDSP) came out and looked at the vehicle and it passed. The MDSP treated me like a valued customer. I sent a review to MDSP telling them how much I appreciated their assistance and explained that even if they failed the vehicle I would have accepted that answer because of the professionalism exhibited by the MDSP. The MDSP did not verbally abuse me, talk down to me, or physically assault me. As for the business I hear crickets, which speaks volumes to their actual business practices. 5/7/24 UPDATE: Took the vehicle to another shop for a 2nd opinion and they confirmed what I thought, which is their mechanic is incorrect. Unfortunately I guess I will need to contact Maryland State Police Inspection Folks and see what my recourse is. ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you want to risk being assaulted by their staff take your vehicle to them. They are verbally abusive when you question their work. When they get their feelings hurt then they decide to assault you. Never again will I take or recommend anyone to use this shop. It was strongly recommended that I try to sell it. When I took it to Morgan's I was looking to see if I could trade it in although I couldn't really afford even a used car. But, Mr. Morgan took one look at it and said he could fix. 4 days later the damaged metal underneath the car had been welded and fixed. At half the price. Morgan's is the best. I've brought it back a couple of more times for far less extensive work and had the same great result. They are very responsible, professional and pleasant.

The owner neglated to take any responsibilty for what happened. It is the responsiblity of the Owner/Mechanic to make an accurate diagnosis and if they make a mistake in that diagnosis, simply take responsibility and make right on the situation. A sincere mechanic would not have treated a consumer this way by taking them down a rabbit hole for a service that failed. This garage took our money without providing the service that we requested. The young lady proceeded to tell us it didn't pass inspection b/c it needed tires, and there was an issue w/a side light, but they were looking for the part. So not thinking it was a major problem, we had requested an oil change and said go ahead with the new tires & fix the side light. The next day rolls around and we're told they can't find the part. The car is old, so we're thinking oh my! We just spent close to $700 dollars for a car we'll have to scrap?! Why would they do the other work if they didn't have a supplier for the side light? Not feeling very confident in their response or expertise, we contacted our mechanic in NJ. Told him the issue, and in less than 3 min (no exaggeration) he knew exactly what we needed and where to get it. When we told him the shop here in MD couldn't find the part he laughed. He told us I guess they've never heard of Amazon. We were going to NJ two days later & swung by to see our mechanic. He pulled up the part on Amazon. Told my husband exactly what to order and said if they couldn't figure it out after that to bring it back to him to fix. The part was $8 bucks! Just shy of $800 dollars later & our $8 dollar part procured via Amazon, the car was back on the road.
