On 1/9/2025, they replaced the catalytic converter with a allege new one the cost $1990.52. I went back to them a few weeks later told them something was still wrong with the vehicle they said they did not find anything. On 7/16/2026, something was wrong with my vehicle. Parked it until I could get it checked out. On 8/3/2026, a diagnostic testing at auto zone confirmed I need a new catalytic converter. On 8/4/2026, Patriot Auto confirmed it was the catalytic converter. However, they said it was my fault it needed repair again. They claimed I have not taken care of my vehicle, said I did not get my oil changed in a timely manner and a whole bunch of other nonsense that had nothing to do with fixing my vehicle. They (Brian) offered to fix the same thing again for 3,400-3,500. They said I was outside my warranty and it was nothing they could do. The owner female was very irate and accusatory towards me and upset that I called my credit card company to dispute a bill that I paid in full already. I would not recommend them because I don't believe that they put a new catalytic converter on my vehicle. A catalytic converter should get between 70,000-100,000 miles. And my vehicle is at 99,890 miles. They didn't even try to work with me to help with this situation. Another female who said her name was Maria said she did not know if they put a new one on my vehicle. The owner said you can't put used catalytic converters on vehicle. I asked her then why are people stealing catalytic converters? This whole situation is very upsetting. Use them with caution. The resolution was: I was told not to call there again and that they reserve the right to refuse service to me. I was not rude or disrespectful to anyone. I just wanted to get my vehicle fix since you claimed you fixed it the first time.

I had JUST flown into…read morePhilly from South Carolina to pick up a used car I bought online and drive it home (I know, I know..) of course...the TEMP light came on in bumper to bumper construction traffic on 95..at 10pm! No coolant/water in the radiator. After letting the car cool a bit, I limped it half a mile to the Belair exit where thankfully, I found DJ's. I left the car at their convenient drop off station with a key, a note, and a prayer that they could look at it in the am. Rick the Service Manager called me in the am to let me know they would look at it and let me know what they found. Long story short, Skip, my mechanic ran thorough diagnostics and while there was a myriad of things that COULD have been the issue, thankfully, it was just the thermostat. Skip replaced the thermostat, tested it, then refilled and bled the anti-freeze before testing it AGAIN before sending me on my way to SC same day. Service was the absolute best I have ever experienced at an auto repair shop and their price was more than fair! Rick even called me the next morning to be sure I made it back to SC alright! After waiting all day without any feedback, we finally called to inquire about our older vehicle, a 2008 Mercury Sable, did not due to an issue with a side light. The young lady proceeded to tell us it didn't pass inspection b/c it needed tires, and there was an issue w/a side light, but they were looking for the part. So not thinking it was a major problem, we had requested an oil change and said go ahead with the new tires & fix the side light. The next day rolls around and we're told they can't find the part. The car is old, so we're thinking oh my! We just spent close to $700 dollars for a car we'll have to scrap?! Why would they do the other work if they didn't have a supplier for the side light? Not feeling very confident in their response or expertise, we contacted our mechanic in NJ. Told him the issue, and in less than 3 min (no exaggeration) he knew exactly what we needed and where to get it. When we told him the shop here in MD couldn't find the part he laughed. He told us I guess they've never heard of Amazon. We were going to NJ two days later & swung by to see our mechanic. He pulled up the part on Amazon. Told my husband exactly what to order and said if they couldn't figure it out after that to bring it back to him to fix. The part was $8 bucks! Just shy of $800 dollars later & our $8 dollar part procured via Amazon, the car was back on the road. I own a 2003 Dodge Dakota which was showing an intermittent airbag light coming on. I personally…read moreput in a large number of hours trying to fix the issue myself. I then took it to 3- services shops and none could fix the issue. I have been dealing w/ this problem for almost a year. When I took it to the different shops; one being a Chrysler/Dodge dealer, I was getting different stories as to what was wrong. The third service shop I took it to who could not fix or diagnose the issue, stated that I should try Jamie's Auto Repair-South. I met w/ Jamie and told him my problem and everything I have been through. He said I'll take a shot at the issue and let me know. His initial diagnosis was a bad clock spring which I already had replaced by the first service shop I went to. When Jamie tried a new clock spring from a Dodge Dealer it did not fix the problem. At this point he did not give up!! He continued on the hunt for the problem and finally determined the issue was w/ the Airbag Control Module(ACM). The module had a short inside and was the cause of the intermittent problem. Jamie then took it upon himself to find me a used ACM and installed it and the problem seems to have gone away. Now I get no error codes or Airbag light. Jamie is confident that the problem is solved and I am too. Time will tell the story. So what can I say? Well, I was close to getting rid of the truck b/c of this problem; but Jamie showed skill, tenacity, and true customer concern for my satisfaction. So the moral of the story is the other shops did not want to deal with my problem, but Jamie did and I truly appreciate his efforts. I highly recommend his shop for repairs especially tough head-scratchers which no one else can do or want to do!! Great job Jamie and your crew!!!
