I got a recommendation from one of my neighbors for Wilson's. I'm glad I did: - Very fair quote - Competent and did got work. - Friendly and flexible. - Gave a lot of good advice too. Generous with his time. A water heater replacement is pretty simple. However, we talked through a few other options, such as a combi or a inline water heater, as well as other issues around the house. I do a lot of simpler home maintenance myself, and the high level of competence came across clearly. I spoke via phone and confirmed two separate appointments for Ductless Mini-Split maintenance in Milton and South Boston. I was asked to send via texts the locations when we finished the call, which I did. Then the day before the first appointment I texted again to confirm the appointment. No response. The morning of the appointment I called and got a text response stating that he would call me back. That never happened and he never showed for the appointment. Is it too much to ask that if you aren't going to keep an appointment that you have the decency to communicate that? Highly recommend! We contacted Wilson's Mechanical for a quote to finish installation on our central air. We received quotes from several other companies and Wilson's was by far the most reasonable! He was also able to start immediately and finish our job quickly (even in the busy summer season!), and help us find a reputable plumber for a pipe issue. Wilson was prompt, personable, and gave us helpful tips for maintaining our AC units over time and saving on electric costs. We met with several other HVAC companies and did not have the same experience. A bigger company wanted to charge us more than double and tried to upsell us on other services. Wilson and his aid have done a fantastic job in replacing old, rusty faucets with the new ones. The old ones had to be sewed off. It was a very tedious and timely job but they did it perfectly. I had also another ad hoc job that Wilson took over. It was more complex than initially assessed. Wilson didn't change it's quote and took necessary time to find the best solution and to complete the job. Overall work took much more time than expected but it was completed very well. I was impressed by Wilson's integrity and honesty (not always the case in this business) and by his ambition to complete the work in style.
