Open 24 hours, payed 3$ for 3 donuts and they gave us some extra for free!! Inside was clean and reminded me of my grandmas house lol.

Filthy. They make and serve FOOD in a place like this?? The lights are full of dead bugs. The floor is disgusting and hasn't been swept or mopped in months. The tables are dirty and gross. I have to assume the back prep area is even worse, since it's out of sight. The help doesn't speak English. Give this one a miss until some hypothetical regional manager takes notice. OBTW: the door closer is falling off of the door frame and hanging down so it clocked me and another customer in the forehead, leaving a nice little bruise. without a doubt my favorite location. Abdul is such a great person and he make me feel welcome and remembered every time I walk in. He always has time for a brief conversation. The store is always clean and well kept. As for the donuts they are always delicious and well stocked. The always taste so fresh and made with such passion. seriously the best donuts I have ever had. My store in Longmont is/has been closed. Occasionally, when I'm in Denver, I stop here on the way home. Haven't been disappointed. Till now. Couldn't tell if they were stale or overdone. You can do better. BTW, when will Longmont open? Or is Boulder County anti-donut? read more

What better way to celebrate National Donut Da than with a Winchell's doughnut? The donuts are good and there was a reasonable selection, especially since it was 3 o'clock in the afternoon when we came. The coffee was good, Old-fashioned black coffee. Definitely not Starbucks but if you wanted Starbucks you would've gone there. The baker was very congenial and helpful. The building is old and tired and could use some cleaning so that is why not a perfect score. I shoulda been clued in when the cashier said he just threw a bunch away. I find myself giving them chance after chance and theres just no way. They suck. This location is pretty convenient for me- So why wouldn't I stop in when Im having a chocolate glazed donut day - Am I the only one in the Mile High having a serious maple cruller craving at 9:45 at night ? Writing this review is making me want to walk over there now- I never had a bad experience at this location - There is always a friendly face looking back at me whenever I walk in- I have been to the other places, but when it comes down to it - As long as they are stalked with my two favorites and the place is clean- Why would I go somewhere else? Dunkin and Krispy are options if you have one close. You could do Voodoo, but I've had issues with freshness and the price point. I want to spend nine dollars and to hate myself afterwards. Waking up in an alley covered in donut glaze, this spot fulfills that need. Dedicated parking lot. Like Good Times nearby it can be a pain depending on traffic volume and flow to get across. Pull up and walk inside. Dimly lit with that cross country truck stop vibe. I've been here mostly morning and afternoons, never two AM but I'd still come in then for a donut or two. Juice. Lemonade. Coffee and hot chocolate. Muffins. Donuts. The usual situation. Always had about nine to eleven donut choices. Some of the same with varied sprinkles or chocolate versus maple. Generally I'll get a dozen with five or six varieties. Two of each and I usually end up going home with thirteen or fourteen but paying for twelve. Guess the dollar tip I regularly leave pays off. Kind people behind the counter. Take debit and credit. Stopped in during a blizzard and the power was out. Paid with a twenty instead, no issues. They have a few tables inside but it's mostly a grab and go spot. Seems clean enough but a review did mention a roach. Think it's more outdated decor than actual filth. This place is pretty damn sketch. As a college freshman I ended up here cramming delicious doughnuts - even sober they're pretty damn good. (Everything else is a much different story. Do not stray from the doughnuts if you come here! That also means no beverages!) That all ended when I saw a cockroach running around the doughnut display case - if you can see cockroaches frolicking about in the light, you can imagine how many are actually there. I shouldn't have been surprised, but a roach in the display case of all things was a little too much. Yet, I caught a whiff of Winchell's doughnuts on the air today, and I wished I was blissfully ignorant enough to go back and eat there again! Final thoughts: Eat at your own risk. Every time I come in here when it's after 10 the really grimy dudes that work behind the counter can't help but hit on me! It's uncomfortable and awkward but I just try to hurry them along, get my donuts and leave!!! They put out a great product, I can't take that away from them! This place is one of the worse doughnut shops I've ever been in and that's saying something as I'm usually not that picky about where it eat. The store looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. My shoes stuck to the floor like I was in a porno arcade. The display was so cloudy it looked like the glass was frosted. I got four doughnuts for my girlfriend and I. I LOVE this donut shop. The staff are just the nicest sweetest people. The donuts are always great, and the prices you simply cannot beat. I always stop in this location to get a box of assorted donuts for work, and you get a bakers dozen for $9.99. You don't need to go to a fancy donut shop downtown to pay $20.00 for maybe 5 donuts, when you can come here for some great donuts. Me and my friend went into this doughnut shop a few days ago because we saw the free wifi sign in the window. When we came in we were greeted by a very nice man (I assume the owner), and we asked to get a couple of very reasonably priced $0.89 doughnuts. Then he told us to pick 3 more each free of charge. This was a very nice gesture because the doughnuts were very fresh and delicious, and he had a large variety of different kinds to choose from. I would have easily paid $0.89 for each of them. As soon as we saw that we wanted to eat them inside he quickly gave us a tray to eat on. This was a very chill and relaxing place to eat doughnuts, and all the tables were clean. On top of that, the internet is blazing fast, 20 times faster than the McDonald's down the street. The most impressive part is how friendly and generous the man working was. Next time I'm in Denver this is the place I'll be going if I want doughnuts and a place to get online. Highly recommended! read more

I really try to avoid this winchell's doughnut shop! I have been here 2 times too many and the results are always bad! First time I went in I could tell it wasn't very clean and they only had about 5/ 6 choices on this evening. Okay, I can work with that, I'm not that picky. I get the doughnuts home and the were hard and far from fresh! I ended up throwing the dozen away. Second time I go in, which I knew I shouldn't go but it was kinda on my way to where I was going. I go in and it looks like no one has cleaned that place since the last time I was there. That was 6 months ago. There were two choices of doughnuts,one twist and 3 muffins.
