When it comes to donut shops, this Winchell's is exactly what I envision. We come in every single Saturday regardless of what we have to do and get a donut or some of the many other things they have. We are always greeted by the friendly staff and really made to feel important and appreciated as a customer. All of the donuts and pastries I have ever had from here has always been cooked perfect and fresh. Same goes for the fresh squeezed juice that they serve in the morning. It's some of the best juice I have ever had. On top of the donuts, eclairs, bear claws and fritters, there is also a wide range of bagels, croissants, and even breakfast sandwiches that are all equally amazing. My personal favorite is to get the turkey, ham, bacon egg and cheese sandwich on an everything bagel with avocado added. It's all made right there as you order it however you want with several options and choices on topping and sauces. I always go with the Chipotle sauce or mustard as it just ramps it all up. While you wait for that to be cooked the gentlemen or occasional lady behind the counter will engage in the general shop conversation about your weekend and your plans and then with a smile always thanks you and looks forward to the next stop in. This really is a friendly and awesome donut shop. Its small but huge in service and quality.

Delicious box of maple glazed donuts!!! So good, we've already eaten three...whoops! We think it is real maple syrup :-)

We live in Old Town and just love these donuts. Staff is friendly, place is clean, and we love the retro vibe. I've had their breakfast sandwiches on bagels before which are very good! Our absolute hands down favorite are the maple glazed donuts, they are so amazing!! We've gotten them in the morning and in the afternoon, and while the afternoon donuts are delicious, the morning donuts are addictive and heavenly! Hubby just bought a dozen...so dangerous to have in the house!! Yummmmmm

So delicious donut. Not much sugar. So I love here

These donuts are fairly average. However, they are the best ones Longmont has. The family of owners are great, friendly.

We were in Longmont for one of my medical appointments and I knew firm a longtime Yelp fried that there were Michi donuts to be had here and her picture looked like something I wanted to try in the traditionally Japanese treat. I get out this way only a few times a year. WhenI mapped it on Google I found the 2 separate names. It's a cute place and deviated in lots of pink, very trendy these days. We chose our mochi donuts and shown how to order and lay at the kiosks on the wall. We ordered taro, matcha and black sesame. The black sesame was our favorite for both of us though I liked the other two flavors better than my husband did. We both ordered drinks but different ones. I ordered the pear tea with Brien sugar jelly and my husband ordered a green tea with boba. Mine had reduced sugar. The cups looked big but were more ice than fluid than I am used to in other shops in Boulder. But they were both very tasty and complimented the donuts very well. The tables were clean and predominantly empty as most customers were doing take out. The staff was very friendly and helpful but it was unclear to me if the donuts are actually made there, by then. The flavored frostings had a very thin layer and the flavors were lighter than a local shop in the neighboring town where we had some being made in a live kitchen and being served freshly made before our eyes. These were still good but the other place was stellar. Neither are close to home so we will only get to each when in their towns. If you are nearby and looking for a treat, stop in and enjoy. It's a pack of calories but sometimes needed. It's unclear to me if the ownership is franchised from both companies but the products make could partners.

I went to the restroom to wash my hands and my girlfriend went to make the order. I had to get a restroom key from the front counter which had a huge plastic lid attached to the key...both were FILTHY! As I entered the restroom, I cringed, froze and my eyes were like frisbees. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with who knows what caked on the light switch, the door handle, around the paper towels, the walls etc etc etc By the time I came out, the order was already made, but my girlfriend asked me if I wanted anything for ourselves. I immediately said no. If the restroom is that filty, is that where the staff maintains their own hygiene while they're making the doughnuts? The one girl helping us appeared to be the only person working the store, so was she so busy that the restroom never gets cleaned? She was very kind, tentative and friendly. Because I was disgusted by the lack of cleanliness, I do not have an opinion on the taste or quality of their product...hence the 2 star rating.

These donuts are chewy and flavorful. The icing they use is really lovely, not too sweet or too much. I love the texture of the mochi donut, its truly unique and the bubble shape is a really fun thing to chow down on. The interior of this location is bright and fresh, though small. Not really a sit down and hang out place, but for the time you take to drop in and get your donuts and go, you are cheered by the bright ambiance. Their tech way of ordering can be confusing at first, but once you go and you figure out what the situation is with ordering, its no big deal. I do make sure to pause for awhile staring at the case before I move on to the order screen tho, because they are not next to one another and I am a visual person. I prefer to point and say "this one" but that isn't an option when you go here, you have to order from the screen that is tucked off away from the counter. Its an adjustment to get used to, but once you go then its easy after the first time. I do really enjoy the offerings here, and hope they continue to be successful here in Longmont.

I, of course, got me one and devoured in a matter of minutes. Other stuff on the menu looked and sounded great, too (Japanese Cheese Cake was one of them.) While I was eating my doughnut, a female staff came to me and asked if I wanted anything to drink (from the bar for alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage.) I said no but she pointed to the self-service water fountain where there are clean side plates you can grab should you need one for your meal. While I was there, I checked other vendors (they have Italian, Thai to name a few.) Well, let's go back to the dessert shop. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. He welcomed me with a nice smile. My doughnut came out warm with freshly glazed semisweet citrusy cream on top. Like I said, so airy to a point where you would feel like going for a second one. So if you are looking for something super light especially after a meal, I recommend you go with this one.
