The gas is cheap, i'm interested to see how long it lasts. I filled up and was able to get 367 miles for almost $47 on my 10 gallon tank it was already very packed prior to 10:45 AM. I was able to get gas fairly quickly. However, you don't really see any signs when you pull in that leads you to the correct way of getting to the gas station part. I just knew that it was at the very front of Costco and just kind of followed my own route through the parking lot . There is sinus once you close and about to pull in the gas station and there is a do not enter if you're trying to turn in the wrong way, but not much getting to it . Once I pulled in five cars pulled in seconds later. This is a location where it is better to get gas very early. It is filled with a lot of people living in berryessa and Hostetter areas probably Milpitas too . The annoying part is some people either don't know what side their gas is on or they're just purposely going to the wrong pumps to avoid waiting-, which is annoying if you know what side your gas pump is actually on and people are in the wrong line or taking up space in your line. All in all, just get there early for your cheap gas and hope it last week. They do have signs above that are like red or green, depending on if someone is at the pump or not I didn't notice until after the fact, I just looked for open spaces on my side of the pump read more

It's not the most well designed location for gas, Like South San Francisco or The Airport location. But it gets the job done. This location does seem to put alot into a seemingly small space for a Costco. And yes! That's only talking about the Costcos with a Costco related gas station connected to it. The line gets so long during prime time hours though, that it's almost impossible to want to stay I. Line even for cheaper gas. Outside of rush hour in the morning the busiest time for gas is: (3pm- 7pm). Traffic can get so bad that I have seen it halt the ability to come into the parking lot. if you are aggressive without being, a jerk. Then you can make the best of the situation. That probably means you can arrive, fill up on gas and leave within a 15 to 25 minutes, period. That's based on the time of the day of course. read more

I love the fact that Costco Gasoline is very close to my house. But what is so impressive is the people who work here. They are friendly, courteous, keep the area clean, and help people pump gas if needed. Not only that, but they help direct cars to go in available lines and to move traffic along. I remember years ago this used to be a nightmare and you had angry motorists yelling at one another for cutting in line, blocking other cars, etc. These workers are awesome! read more

Of all the Costco's that I've gotten gas from, this is my least favorite. It seems that their fuel prices are always higher than any other Costco as well. The station is also small. Four islands of two pumps each on each side so only 16 vehicles can fuel up at a time. The lot design is not ideal either. Because of the number of cars that can be serviced at one time, the lines often back up into a quagmire at the driveway and into the street. I have to wonder if their fuel cost is higher because their storage tanks are smaller. Solution? Short of redesigning the entire station, I can't see how to improve it. Extending the islands putting in signal lights like other Costcos and adding an additional 16 pumps might help, but I'm not sure if there's enough space for that. read more

This location's gas station officially opens at 0600 today. However, they were already open when I got there about 10 minutes before 0600. And I finished filling up a whole tank of gas before 0600! Love they got a hand sanitizer available by the pumps! read more

Accessing the pumps is a huge hassle though not sure if anything can be done about it. Having the exit cross path with the lines is annoying as one can't tell who is exiting and who is in line! :( read more

Am I writing a review for a gas station? Absolutely. Why you ask? Because of Joe. I lived around the Berryessa area my whole life but I didn't meet Joe until a few years ago. He noticed my dog Lychee one time while I was getting gas and asked to pet her. She instantly fell in love with her Uncle Joe. Throughout the years despite having my dog with me or not Joe has always made it a point if he's on shift to help me pump my gas and make small talk. Despite him having a lot of regular customers on a daily basis, he manages to make me look forward to getting gas! Costco if you're reading this, Joe needs a raise for all that he does. read more

Best times to come are for sure during the working hours on a hump day (ex. 2pm on Wednesdays) otherwise Costco becomes a warzone with angry people who cut in and wait in line etc. Overall great gas stations! This is my go-to gas station because: 1. close by home, 2. cheapest in town, 3. there's 24 pumps, 4. location Thing about this station is that when you come during peak hours, wait can be a while. Also, getting into the station is terrible, seems to always have traffic because of the way they designed the entrance and having to go through the parking aisles. I only continue to come here because it's close by home and it's usually always the cheapest. Line usually goes by quickly because they have so many pumps. Let's be clear, you come here for the gas prices not the dreaded long lines. Made the mistake of coming here on the eve of a long weekend and eeek !!! It was really long, but as usual the friendly Costco employees make the rounds trying to get all the cars to be as efficient as possible in getting their gas and getting the heck out of there ! I've been to many Costco Gas stations over the years, but this one thus far has been my least favorite. Starting with the parking lot configuration which you have to drive through to reach the gas station entrance. Instead of large box shaped lots like most parking lots, this one consists of multiple smaller lots which are connected to each one. This configuration unfortunately causes a lot of unnecessary backup in the lot during peak times whenever someone stops to wait for a car pulling out, as there isn't enough room in this narrow lot to go around, and both the cars in the same lane as the vehicle waiting, as well as cars coming from connecting lots, all get backed up. And while the station itself has one of those indicators that tell you which pump is available, it has a very narrow exit lane which starts right in front of the pumps. Which means cars have trouble exiting after they have finished pumping, which further delays the overall wait. Unless you just enjoy waiting in your car, or can't be bothered to drive a few mins out to the next closest Costco Gas, I would recommend giving this one a skip. read more

Typically has a long line during the afternoons but luckily when I drove by to buy some french croissants there wasn't a long line. Figures buy some gas here than drive up more to my usual gas station. It's cheaper by a couple of cents but it does stack up after putting in more than 10 gallons. Whats the best thing about Costco gasoline stations? They're always the cheapest by about 20 cents a gallon. Luckily we have one not too far away which makes fill up convenient. They have great early morning hours 6:00 as well as late hours till 9-9:30. So if you want to avoid the lines get there early or come late. If you come on the weekends, after work or during the afternoon be prepared to deal with the lines. Definitely avoid getting gas during the afternoons on weekends. You'll play bumper cars just to get to the pumps...it can be wild. Plus people don't pay attention to anyone else and are oblivious to the fact that they are blocking the line as their read end sticks out as they eye 2 or 3 lines... But that's not Costco's fault,,,plan ahead and get there early or come late. read more

I've been going to this Costco gas station over the past year, over the one in Fremont at Pacific Commons, since this one is less crowded and has a sufficient amount of pumps to handle the amount of cars. I also like the red and green indicator lights that tell you when a pump is in-use or not. Most, if not all customers wear masks, which is nice to see. The staff are personable and friendly if you need them for anything. Also, customers seem to use both sides of the pumps. I find it amazing that some customers only want to park on the side where their gas tank is located, since they don't want to stretch the hose around their vehicle. read more

We always fill up at Costco even when we are traveling. The prices are so much cheaper than anywhere else. For example, today I got up early to get here at around 6:00 a.m. just drove up to the pump and filled up. Today regular gas was $3.15. This is my go-to gas station mainly because it's close to where I live and they always have the lowest prices. I know they're known for horrendously long lines but I just go really early or like right before they close to avoid any of that headache. I heard visiting during working hours is a pretty safe bet too but I haven't tried that one yet. It's clean, they have hand sanitizer, and the attendants are nice and do their best to guide cars. OVERALL: I am a fan of this location because Costco gas at this location tends to be a little cheaper than other locations from what my dad says, and believe me he does his research. The pumps are long so you can access your gas tank from either side. I like this so I don't have to worry about which side my gas tank is on to make sure I get in the right lane. Ehhh...: I wish there was more space to line up because a lot of times the curb by Automation Parkway makes it so cars have to curve around to make a line, and then it blocks the exit to Automation Parkway. This review is for the Costco gas station on Automation Pkwy in San Jose. Stopped by here to fuel up for my first time ever, after work (I work overnight shift) around 7:30am on a weekday morning. Found it to be pretty busy, as would be expected. My recommendation to anyone who is looking to avoid the line is to go extremely early as soon as they open. There are usually only a handful of cars in line. Always a busy gas station, but luckily there is an attendant and 24 different pumps to choose from. Be sure to be vigilant as not many people can see the 1st spot open up and there is usually ample room to squeeze by the 2 pumps to park either in 1st or 2nd pump. Don't wait until everyone is done. In a perfect world the 3 pump row would start and finish around the same time but since many people pump differently then it staggers more often than not. I usually like going to the far left as the right beginning few spots get bottlenecked. I had to drop a star because the past few times I've gone the pump would click and end when I barely got $1 or $2 worth and I definitely needed more gas than that. Then I would have to keep redoing it and turn on my engine to verify the fuel gauge. So annoying and nonefficient for me and the next person waiting. read more
