It's okay beer and food if you are in town for an evening, but wouldn't be competitive in a bigger town with other good options

Got back from a 6-day backpacking trip in the wind river range and had to have a burger. This place is fantastic! I had the Brewmaster burger, with fries, and it did not disappoint. Big assed burger I would put at 1/2 pound, with Brisket on top, what's not to like about that. The fries were great, and the service also was tip top!. A bit expensive for a burger, but in my humble opinion it was well worth it. If I am ever in Pinedale again, I will go back. My wife had the Gyro, and her experience was the same, but she had the chips and Salsa, and she thought the salsa could do some spicing up. They even have a outdoor patio, where you can bring your dog, and a Doggie Burger on the menu. It made me happy.... read more

Great place in Wyoming! The beer here is fantastic. You gotta try the "sound-check". All of their fried foods are extremely crispy. The staff here are very friendly. 10/10 would recommend if you are in the area! read more

First of all the Pom Petty is totally legit. Yes please. Kids enjoyed their root beers & grilled PBJs. We had the steak sandwich & orange chicken salad. Sandwich was great, the salad would have been amazing if it hadn't had huge, hard chunks of cabbage in it. Unchewable chunks. But still really great after those were picked out. read more

Right place, right time... rolled into town from a lorg drive. After a short rest at the hotel it was time to find some place to eat. Finding a brew house is usually an easy solution, although not very imaginative. Every town seems to have something like it but with varying results. This one was spot on for our needs. Good beer, great service, tasty food. A good selection of crew beers, a wine list, and what appeared to be a full bar. Food was served quickly, everything was the right temperature, and the portions were generous. We will come back again when we are in town. read more

How do you rate a place that is underwater with total lack of employees. Granted this is a big issue in Pinedale right now however having been affiliated with the food service industry more than 45 years management needs to take a look at decisions they make. Bottom line went there with my son and wait was 1 and 1/2 hours.. asked to sit at the bar and it was ok but they said you can't order food. Add to injury the bartender ignored us and was pouring shots for both patrons and employees! I'll never go there again. Totally rude unprofessional people read more

Good beer selection and very diverse menu. We had the brisket nachos and they were very generous with toppings! The Reuben was very good and the fried pickles were a hit! Had a great outdoor deck/patio seating space that we enjoyed. read more

Decent beer, seems like they've given up trying to be exceptional, just turn a buck at this point. They were out of my top 2 choices for beer and the side for my burger I wanted. As many others have complained, burger was over cooked, ordered medium. Waitress said it would come a little pink, it came well done. It was over cooked but ok. To me for the cuts that are ground together, it's taste leaves a lot to be desired. The smoked brisket lacks any real flavor as well, a little shy of mediocre, not what I'd call good. The cheese and sauce on the burger had good flavor, most cheese in the grocery store case and sauce on the shelves do though. I asked for grilled onions instead of onion rings. They executed fine, just charged $1.00 more for something that seemed to be an even trade to me. Just a lame experience. read more

My husband and I come here anytime we are near the area. I've been here in the summer with a great outdoor setting and the winter with a cozy indoor set-up. The beers are high caliber in my book (Moose Juice was super yum). The food also really delicious. Great for me as a vegetarian (Mac and cheese yum!) and my husband a meat eater loves their burgers and house smoked BBQ. The service is always really helpful and positive. I have never had a salad with prime rib but it was amazing. Fresh veggies, including avocado, and a spicy dressing that was excellent. We stopped to get a beer and could not pass up the food. You can also get crowlers to go. I would recommend their pale ale. It is pretty strong but also easy drinking. Over all everything I expect from a brewery. read more

This seems to be the only option in town for outdoor dining. We we're told the wait was 25 min but it actually took 40 min to get seated even tho there were empty tables. At least the kids were entertained by corn hole and sidewalk chalk. Once seated, it took a looooong time to get our food. The craft seltzer was flat, which the waitress said was "how it is." Only the fried cheese curds came out first. The kids meals were last. And the steak salad was COVERED in cilantro - but no mention of this on the menu. Everything else was mediocre at best. Buying a roasted chicken at Ridley's market and eating in our room would have been a more pleasant experience. read more

Loved this place, ate here two times, both early dinners. It can get busy, but we sat right down and had a great experience. Uch bigger menu than I expected, mostly burgers and sandwiches, but salads and other things ... so had lots to pick from. Staff was g4wat and enthusiastic, food was good and served quickly. We ordered beers and the wrong beer was delivered not once, twice, but three times. Beers were not that interesting for being touted as award winning. Crab cakes were nothing special as it appears they were just frozen from a restaurant services company. The brisket had zero flavor so the tacos were disappointing. The baked potatoes were cooked and loaded several days ago. The potatoes had nothing that was fresh. We were looking forward to our visit but it is now once and never again. Second time here after a blah first experience and it didn't improve. We were seated fast on a busy Friday night, and that's about the most positive thing I can say for service. The artichoke dip we ordered was good, thankfully because my brisket nachos were nasty. The brisket was drowned in bottled bbq sauce and other gunk junk piled on the plate. What I think was supposed to be cheese sauce was just white gunk in the plate, pasty and tasteless as well as not even warm. The beer was gross, we tried Steve's and something else and it tasted like beer flavored water. The ribeye was good. Bravo for that. The server was dismissive at best and far from friendly. There's not many choices in Pinedale, but we won't be back here. read more

We stayed the night in Pinedale on our way to the parks and had dinner here. My shrimp salad wrap was delicious and I loved the blond ale. My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken sandwich but thought the tater tots tasted too deep fried. The service was fine, nothing exceptional. I would definitely go back again. read more

Expensive.... on the other hand the food was fantastic and the service was great. The Ruben was big enough Bill and I could have shared it and been finished, but we added wings also. The wings were some of the best I've ever had... only Sugarfire can compare. Use the Asian dipping sauce for the wings. I ate the rye bread that came with the Ruben because it was so fresh and perfectly marbled!!!! And their horseradish sauce was EXCELLENT!!!!!! Stopped by Wind River Brewery for an early dinner last Saturday! They were very welcoming to us and our dog...offering a water bowl and even a homemade pumpkin dog treat! After 5 hours of driving through Colorado and Wyoming, it sure was a nice break to enjoy the shade on their deck. We ordered a flight of beers and enjoyed the IPA and darker stouts, too. As for the service, Emily took real good care of us. She was sweet, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend the Ruben sandwich...it is the BEST I've ever had...and I've been ordering Rubens for over 40 years, so that's saying a lot! read more

Stopped for dinner here in the middle of a 5 hour drive to Jackson. Got seated and the hostess took our drink order. All seemed to be fine. It had a good crowd there but I wouldn't say it was overwhelmed or extremely busy. Drinks come, minus the beer I ordered, and we sit and wait. And wait. And wait some more. Then a server stops by and says he'll be right with us. 15 minutes later he's passed by our table seven or eight times without an acknowledgement. Finally, my wife has to get up and politely ask the hostess when someone will be by to take our order. The hostess graciously grabbed a pad and took our order. Then, according to my wife, our supposed waiter ripped the pad out of the hostess's hand and stood over her while she put our order in. He passed our table several more times without saying anything, and other workers ran out our refills (never my beer) and eventually our food. Later, my wife noticed others on the staff pointing at our table like we were some sort of problem. As for the food, it was excellent. My burger was a great combination of ground chuck, brisket, and prime rib. Incredible flavor. The fries were house made and the fry sauce was bigtime. If they ask if you want fry sauce, the answer is yes. Very big fan of the food. Would have loved to try a beer. Finally, our waiter who had passed by several times without speaking to us brought us our check and half apologized for "any confusion." I wish we would have had cash on us so we could have personally tipped the hostess for going above and beyond because she was outstanding. I've worked in restaurants and am not someone who routinely complains about service. But I've never felt more disrespected by a worker in a restaurant. Next time we come through Pinedale, we'll eat elsewhere. read more

Pinedale is a remote, ascetic and inspiring place. This is a town where the air is thin and the deer and the antelope literally play. Views of the serrated Windriver peaks are breath-taking. While it's always been a base for backcountry trips and ranching, in recent years Pinedale has become a bit of a shale-driven boom-town. In this new Pinedale it may be harder to get a hotel room (and not to downplay the environmental impact below-ground) but from the traveler's perspective the local service-offering is greatly improved. Also, conservative local sensibilities have the positive effect that culture and establishments stay true to their Western roots as they expand and evolve. The Brewery punches well above its weight in terms of quality and selection. It has an extensive craft beer list and thoughtful Western menu; you really can't go wrong with any of the choices. We're also pleasantly surprised by the wholesome kids dishes and casual Western-minimalist ambience, like a comfortable new ski-chalet. The brewery seems to be a product forged by recent trends in the West. It has become my family's go-to dinner-spot in the Windrivers. read more

This was our second visit to Wind River Brewery. We sat at the table nearest to the bar. Same as the first visit. Still had to go up to the bar for a refill!Same people from last time we recognized continued to walk by us.... Ordered the nachos. They obviously had been sitting there for awhile as someone must've canceled them because we got them within two minutes! They were cold & chips were soggy! Not quite sure why this has such a low rating on Yelp. This brewpub has a cute atmosphere and lots of sitting. You can either sit on the dining side or the bar side. I sat on the bar side this trip and preferred the smaller, more intimate space. I tried the IPA which was delicious and hoppy. For dinner I ordered the shrimp wrap which had just the right amount of heat. The shrimp were large, and there was a piece of shrimp for every bite of the jalapeno wrap. The only place I can recommend that you eat and drink in Pinedale. The staff here cares about the food and drink they put in front of you, the service is friendly and informative. I recommend trying schooners of various beers and sharing the experience with friends that can appreciate craft beer. Ignore the comments from the, "''Murka, I mowed my lawn and found a car, hey this ain't Lucky Lager!" crowd. They make very good beer here, including one of the best Blondes I've ever tasted. And I've tasted my share. The WPA is an outstanding and approachable dry hop, with roasty notes instead of the citrus that permeates so many pale ales, and their ESB is spot on and reminiscent of stronger English bitters. Worth a trip to Pinedale, and I can't think of anything else that might make me say that! read more

If it's possible, WRBC has deteriorated since our last visit. The salad was okay, but my baseball sirloin, ordered m rare, was well done. Tough to eat, because it was so tough! Sad baked potato, broc cooked to death. SO had utterly awful onion rings and he didn't want to talk about the chicken sandwich. The formerly good poppers are just this side of edible. We've given this place so many chances. No more. Downgrading to one star after the server threw the bill at us. Bad/rude hostess. The building is a nice brew pub environment that reflects Wyoming's outdoor character. The hostess was really rude and discouraged my family to eat there. Upon entering, the hostess said "we have a large partying coming in and the upstairs is closed, I have no idea how long it'll be so you'll have to wait". Her body language was really negative so we left. We understand they were busy but the hostess could have put in a positive spin. read more

We stayed in Pinedale for a couple nights and chose to try a local brewery. Our server was so awesome and friendly and able to recommend drinks. Beer was far better than some of the brew we have in Utah. Food portions are huge and we couldn't finish most of our food but it was all tasty. We got the extra crispy wings which were perfect, cheese curds, French dip, and brisket street tacos. Also the lemon truffle vinaigrette is delicious. Go check it out! read more

We ate here in September 2017. They were highest rated restaurant in Pinedale, so I was looking forward to a decent meal. I ordered the Fish and Chips. To my amazement, it was the worst fish I had ever had. Inside the crust, it was wet, soft and mushy. I was shocked! And also way overpriced. read more

We came to Pinedale after unexpectedly having to terminate a 3 day camping/hiking trip due to weather. We were exhausted and starving and spotted it as we were going down the main road through town. It was exactly what we needed! Such generous portion sizes and so many options on the menu. My husband had a burger and I got the Veggie Stacker. I have to admit I was skeptical about a veggie burger with no patty initially, but it was so filling and delicious! The drink menu was also extensive. We both got a Pear Me Up (pear vodka, ginger beer, lime juice) and it's our new favorite cocktail! Definitely recommend if you're coming through town! read more
