Such good food! Service was fast and friendly. Best sweet and sour sauce ever. Worth the 2 hour drive for lunch.

I have to apologize. I guess not eating earlier and drinking to much cowboy whiskey at the cowboy bar messed up my dine in experience. Hence the pictures. I'm sorry I took your bag of crackers. I owe you. What I do know for sure, my breakfast (dinner meal), was amazing. I loved the spice, Flavor, crispy, chopped vegetables, meat, shrimp and mushrooms. It was the best Chinese food I've eaten in a long time. I will make sure I return to pay for those crackers, most of all, I want the dine in experience. Your food was amazing! I WOULD RECOMMEND

Just wow. Best Chinese ever end of all places I'm in Wyoming. Good service, clean restaurant and food unbelievable.

You don't go to Pinedale Wyoming expecting great, authentic Chinese food. China Gourmet is a very pleasant, family run business that serves good, American style Chinese food. There are plenty of dishes on the menu, including traditional American food, like hamburgers. Something for everyone. The staff is very pleasant and the service is good. I ordered the cashew chicken.$11.95 on the dinner menu. It was way too heavy on the sauce, so much I could barely taste the food. If I went back, I'd ask for half the sauce. It comes with an ice-cream scoop sized portion of rice. Not enough rice to counter the heavy sauce and no refills were offered. If I were back in the area I'd probably go back, but for lunch, not dinner. By the way, they also serve wine and beer and the prices are reasonable. See my picture of the beer and wine menu.

I am sad to report that a lot has changed in 4 years…read more They've moved, they've changed cooks and the quality of the food has gone down the toilet. They new interior was the first indication. The dining room flowed right into the cashier area which flowed right into the kitchen which flowed right into the stairway to what may be the owners home. If it was more intimate it might have seemed like you had a exclusive seat inside the kitchen. But the high ceilings and the fact that our seats felt like they were an unobstructed football field's length from the kitchen gave the place an empty, cavernous feel. We got our wanton soup. It was lukewarm and bland. We got a couple noodle dishes and same thing, no flavor. I tried the rice and was amazed to discover that it was hard and dry, almost like it had been sitting on the counter for a couple hours. The pieces of chicken were just barely cooked and my wife bit into one to discover it was raw in the middle. I asked for some chili sauce, eager to improve this mess but discovered once I'd added it that it made the meal worse. I tried the sauce by itself and rather than chili it tasted like the inside of a refrigerator. I have no doubt that I was served the top couple spoonfuls from a jar that had been sitting, uncovered in the fridge for months. We tried to wash it all down with some more water but we were out. The poor gal had to run a marathon to get from the kitchen to the dining area so the service was infuriatingly slow and full water glasses were the casualties. We watched an Asian family walk in, review the menu and then walk out. Good call!! I only wish we had done the same.

Sesame chicken, Orange chicken, or the Mongolian beef are my top three choices. You can never go wrong with any of them. The Sesame is crispy and piping hot, Orange is always good (although sometimes pretty spicy and it seems to be a gamble whenever you order it), and the Mongolian is a winner wherever you go. Be sure to try an egg roll as an appetizer as well, it's more of a spring roll (veggies instead of meat, and a thinner/crispier shell), and it's always hit the spot. The service is just, eh. The waiter I had was nice enough, but didn't really "sell" me on any of the food! He also didn't offer any dessert, I wanted to try something unique, he just brought my check as soon as I took my last bite. Nonetheless, if you're looking for great Chinese and you know exactly what to get--come to Cheng Chongs! TIPS & TRICKS: * Park in the south side parking lot, you can nonchalantly go in through the side door instead of making a huge racket as you walk into the front. * Take a look at and appreciate the decor. It literally is the only Chinese place that could pull of the "mounted-stuffed-animal-heads" in every corner. WELCOME TO WYOMIN' Y'ALL.

The service was great and pir waitress was kind. Although the noodles looked good, I wasn't sure I had a big enough appetite so I thought I would start with the Papaya Salad, amd if still hungry get noodles after. The Papaya Salad was huge! The spice was good, but the papaya was definitely not fresh. Everything in the salad was hard & raw amd slightly pickled. I ended up ordering a side of chicken to get some protein, which was a decent portion, but definitely boiled chicken. The BKK Noodles my husband ordered was a good portion but there were so few pieces of chicken they were gone in the first few bites. In addition the flavor was bland. It had the start of good flavor, but fell flat. In addition to the "fine" food, $30 for the noodles was insane! We have amazing thai at home all the time and it's nowhere near $30 for authentic & delicious noodles. We didn't try the other thai place in town, but if you're looking for good thai I think I would try someplace else.

We asked the staff about the spice level and they said it was all based on American spice so if you're looking for spice just get the highest level. The staff were really nice they brought us some chili and jalapeños to eat with our food (probably after seeing us fein for some spice). We started off with the Laab Gai and Tom Yum Soup. Both scarfed down in seconds. Do wish the soup had a little more mushroom or something in it though. All the dishes were great and were good portions. We ended up taking most of the dishes home for breakfast the following day. The Thai Fried Rice with Shrimp and Duck Noodle Soup were a little on the plainer side but still good. The Pad Woon Sen is a lot, it comes with noodles and rice, was surprised when I got it. The sauce it came was not spicy but the dish itself already was flavorful so didn't use it much. The Pad Gar Pow was a little similar but a little more saucy. The Massaman Curry was probably my favorite. This was so good especially with rice. If anything I would recommend this dish and the Pad Woon Sen. This place was great, the hard cider they had was also great. Overall recommend if you're in the area and looking for some good Thai food with good sized portions.

The crispy duck was fantastic- juicy, tender, flavorful, and freshly fried. The noodles and seasoning/sauce in the pad kee mao were also good. As for the tom kha soup, the broth was very flavorful from the lemongrass, lime, galangal, etc. And the coconut milk added a nice creaminess to the soup. Not to mention, there was so much chicken, veggies, and mushrooms in the soup! Overall, my friends and I were very pleasantly surprised from our experience here at Thai Plate and we hope to come back when we visit Jacksonhole again!

The bar seating was available and allowed us to watch the kitchen staff hustling. Once seated, we waited for Beste to take our order, about 10 minutes. She was MIA most of the evening. Our evening started with the braised beef bao bun with carrot, kimchi, sesame seeds, kimchi aioli, and pickled onions. The flavor was good but it was grossly over-sauced and extremely messy. The bao bun was delivered broken in half. The lemongrass flavored pork dumplings were accompanied with onions, radishes and fermented black bean chili crisp. The dumplings were boiled and had no crispness from being pan seared which left a doughy taste. Our favorite was the Caeser salad with gem lettuce, tahini Caesar, aged parm and nori dusted rice crisp. A truly crisp bite with little taste crunches from the nori and tasty tahini Caesar. Homerun! Our final dish was the shrimp toast with kimchi aioli, pickled jalapeno, toasted sesame seeds on a milk bread slice. There was no shrimp taste and was told it was a "thin" shrimp mousse spread covered by other ingredients. I would bet there is less than a teaspoon of mousse on 4 pieces of toast. I have several issues with tonight's dining experience. A waitress, Beste was MIA, left empty plates piled up with limited room at the bar, did not change out plates coated with kimchi sauce between services, and a short attitude when we asked about "where is the shrimp". I hope the restaurant can correct these issues or find help that truly cares. Hospitality means pay attention and "Anticipate" the patrons need prior to them realizing it. This also falls on management who needs to guide and set a culture that employees can emulate. SHOW THEM THE LIGHT!
