Clam Chowder Sign In front of Hallet's Store over 100 years old since 1889 Rt 6A Cape Cod Yarmouthport MA

A MUST DO! An Iconic Ice Cream Parlor/Restaurant for over 100 years well 130 years to be exact on Cape Cod in Yarmouthport MA. The New England Clam Chowder is EXCELLENT here! The Chowder was so Rich & Creamy & was the best thing we ordered. Their Ice Cream is Made on the premises & was Good. The Sandwiches we had Meatball, Turkey & Tuna were Pretty Good. But the Standout was The Chowder. They have someone make their Clam Chowder for them & then they just open the can & add milk etc. The Hallet's Clam Chowder comes in a large tall can that makes 1 gallon of Chowder. Some lady came in while we were there & bought 8 Cans of Chowder that's 8 gallons of Chowder. She must really Love It! In an era where they rip down so much stuff & put something new & improved in It's place, it's great to see a business that has been around in their family for 130 years in 2019. Walk around the whole place in all the nooks & crannies. They have some great Vintage woodwork, cabinets & some retro soda bottles. They have their own hardcover book you can look through with some great vintage photos & history of the place. They also sell their book, T Shirts & Baseball Caps & Mugs with their Logo on it. It is open Seasonal Hours here Summer Hours are 12-5 every day. We ended up buying a T Shirt, Baseball Cap & of course a can of Clam Chowder to go. I will be back to this nostalgic classic to have some more Clam Chowder for sure. It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

I had the Main Street Stroll: mozzarella, tomato, arugula, and pesto on ciabatta. It was a perfect combination of ingredients. Each ingredient was fresh and in ideal proportions and flavors. I care very much about my sandwiches and this sandwich stood very high in my mental rankings. This next part is a review written by my daughter. I tried her BLT and I fully agree with everything she said: "The food here is amazing!!!!! I would especially recommend the BLT, I got mine without turkey and it was by far the best I have ever had! They put the tomato in between the lettuce so the bread wouldn't get soggy and that made it so much better than the ones I have tasted in the past. " The kebab chicken is also very nice. You rarely find grilled kebabs at a sandwich shop, but they've got them and they do a great job with the seasoning and the grilling. Thank you to the team there. You guys are doing an amazing job.

The coffee, atmosphere, and creativity are incredible. We tried the Fluffy Seagull, Dockside Drag, and The Sunburn. The Fluffy Seagull was perfectly sweet and nostalgic, the Dockside Drag was one of the most unique lattes I've ever had, and The Sunburn had just the right amount of spicy kick. Every drink felt thoughtfully crafted. I also loved all the little details around the property. The Christmas trees made out of Fluff containers and lobster buoys were such a fun, quirky New England touch and made the whole place feel even more memorable.

The prices of our quiche and coffee was fair, I hate to say it but I haven't had a decent cup of coffee during our visit so far. Separately, the pie prices, at $40, seemed steep, although we did not purchase one and therefore cannot comment on if it's worth it. Parking proved somewhat challenging, as it is at the rear of the coffee shop, potentially making patrons feel somewhat confined or trapped. Nonetheless, pedestrians can access the shop easily straightforward walk-up. Upon entering, the warm and inviting atmosphere, reminded me of an East Coast Cracker Barrel, because it has an assortment of souvenirs including hoodies, homemade jams, and more. The service provided was satisfactory. Oh I remember something funny. Lol we accidentally went past the drive way and came across a dentists parking lot with a handwritten sign that said: "No parking for coffee fufu drinkers" I thought that it was kinda funny
