The downside about being so close to the boardwalk is that you can hear everyone walking up and down the street and their conversations. We were on the bottom level so we heard everything! You can also hear other tenants conversations in detail through the walls of the bathrooms. In addition, the max height in the basement rooms is probably 5'7. I'm 5'2 and I could literally touch the ceiling without any effort. The cleanliness of the room was dubious at best. Things had an extra layer of dust on it which meant to me that the room hadn't been cleaned in a while. They had an identified stain on them -- could be blood, could be pasta sauce. Breakfast was meh but it was included in the price. Related to the breakfast, if you were in the rooms you could smell the breakfast being made. Normally, that wouldn't be a bad thing. However, the first morning we were there someone was burning bacon and that was all I could smell in the morning. Ironically, One of my roommates burns their bacon every. single. morning. I was hoping for two days away from the smell of burning bacon but to no avail. If you have an allergy don't believe them when they say just let them know and they will accommodate you. I was only able to eat the fruit. So if you're looking for just a place to put your head at night that gets you extremely close to the boardwalk and you don't care about cleanliness or sleep, this might be the place for you.

Back then, there was a sense of care in everything--right down to the wonderful homemade breakfast. Unfortunately, since it was sold, the whole experience has gone downhill. There's no breakfast anymore, no personal touches, and honestly, no charm left. The check-in process was confusing--we had to go next door to another property, and no one was even there. I had to dig through my email to find a phone number just to get someone to help us. Our room felt neglected, with thin linens, a couple of cheap toiletries, and a generally shabby vibe. The kitchen, which used to be a lovely shared space, was now a mess that looked more like a storage closet. The front porch was littered with old cups and cigarette butts that were never cleaned up during our stay. The worst part? After we got home, I realized I'd been double charged. This used to be a gem on the Boardwalk. Sadly, those days are over.

They have breakfast included, but the way it is advertised vs. what it actually is leaves a lot to be desired. I'm not sure which is thinner: the walls or the floor and ceiling. The screaming child across the hall was so loud, I thought she was in our room. It's terrifying to wake up every 30 minutes or so and panic because you think you've accidentally abducted a child and are holding it hostage. The US Men's track team was probably not staying in the room above us, but I would challenge anyone to prove it based on the amount of running it seemed like they were doing at all hours. Was this the worst night's sleep ever? No. But that's probably only because I've been in labor overnight. All this to say: if you are a sound sleeper or drink enough to lose consciousness, you could probably stay here with no issues.

Solid place. Would absolutely stay here again…read more Came for a winter getaway and decided on this hotel for several reasons. Some big ones: 1. This is definitely cheaper than the spots down by the boardwalk area. 2. Full hot breakfast buffet included! 3. It could accommodate our family of five in one room. 4. Indoor pool (definitely important for cold season visits)! The man at the front was very friendly and helpful, eager to offer some recommendations. The staff was always helpful when I needed to interact with them. When Child #2 and Child #3 went with me for breakfast, staff got me a high chair right away. Location. So, while a lot of us tourists like the idea of being close to the boardwalk and attractions like Jolly Roger, this hotel is close to several great spots. It is WALKING distance (less than half a block!) from an indoor Old Pro Golf and several restaurants, including Longboard Café. Not bad! And for a short drive (or a longer walk, you do you), you can get to Fractured Prune just 10 blocks away or Alley Oops, just 12 blocks away, or Candy Kitchen, just 14 blocks away. Also, the views of the bay and of the ocean aren't half bad. The hot breakfast. I dare say this makes the whole thing worth it. There are three waffle irons, one which does mini waffles and the other two do full. There was always some fresh fruit, some hash brown pucks, scrambled eggs, lots of bacon (though some breakfast sausage patties when that ran out), and a variety of breakfast sandwiches and spreads. The rooms were nice and clean. We got one with two full beds and a pullout couch. There is a partition curtain between the beds and the couch so one could theoretically watch TV or read with the light on while someone else sleeps, but the curtain is so thin that it doesn't really block anything. Nice thought, poor execution. The room had a FULL fridge and freezer, as well as dishes a full sink, dishwasher, and full microwave (swanky!). They even can bring you a portable stove and pan if you wish to cook in your room, free of charge!

We rented 13 rooms, and upon arrival our keys were ready for us, but the staff member pointed us to the elevator when we were actually housed on the outside and needed to take the stairs. It was another kind and helpful male staffer who immediately assisted with my bags and asked what room we were going to. Before our staff and students boarded the elevator, he informed us of our actual housing location and guided us to our rooms, helping carry luggage and food to both the second and third floors. His level of support set a positive tone for our visit. No one complained about their room. I did feel that although my sheets and towels were clean, they were stained, along with my couch. A few bathrooms were missing toilet paper upon arrival, but once we informed the staff, they provided more than enough right away. Some rooms also had issues with the thermostats not working, which meant no heat or heaters blowing only cool air (temperatures dropped to the 30s). When I mentioned this to the front desk, they provided me with a space heater immediately, and I am confident they would have accommodated any other member of our group just as quickly. The atrium is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and a lovely place for students and staff to unwind. The on-site restaurant served good food, and although only a couple of people were working, the service was kind, attentive, and as fast as possible. Because we had 19 people to feed, we are happy we got an early start. One of the biggest highlights was the manager Tonya willingness to accommodate our needs. She allowed us to store our luggage after checkout so we could return to the conference center at 7:30 a.m. without carrying bags on the local bus. This was a tremendous help for our group of 19. A special thank you to Tonya and the nighttime staffer (sorry I did not get his name) for your kindness, professionalism, and support. We appreciate you hosting us, and several other schools, for the FBLA State Leadership Conference and competitions. Your hospitality helped make our trip a success.

We were staying at another hotel and had to get another place to accommodate our needs as plans fell through. I told the front desk as they reminded me I booked the "petite room" I knew that the room was small but accommodates our needs, that I would be checking out that same night to get home as we have plans the next day. She looked like I was crazy as the room was about 240 dollars night on booking.com but this was our last minute vacation with our young kids. We get into the room early and that was FANTASTIC !!! But when we got into the room, the toilet paper had not been replenished. Later when I go to wash my children in the shower. No bar soap. Fine, I just used the shampoo to wash them off because we were going back down to the beach later. Hours go by and we come back from the beach, about 8pm, I stop by the office to get bar soap and there was chaos as multiple people complained about their rooms being unsanitary and the receptionist gave me an attitude. For soap. Mini bar soaps. I give them a shower and then I go to dry my child off and there was DRY BLOOD ON THE TOWEL THAT I ALREADY STARTED DRYING HIM OFF. I went to complain but someone was already down there arguing with Vickie or Vicky (don't know because they wouldn't give her full name) so I said forget it to myself and was just trying to enjoy the rest of our vacation. We had a neighbor that came out and said there was blood on their bed sheets. Vomit on their curtains, and what looked like "stains" on the couch. Use your imagination. The sheets also were covered with black marks. I will follow up with these photos. Vicky came up aversively to check the room out because she didn't believe their photos and she saw my husband had a cigar in his hand. She immediately said she was charging us 250 dollars for smoking on the property. When my husband went to show her the blood soaked towel she said "get that shit the f off of me." There was in fact someone smoking weed the parking lot. My husband doesn't even smoke weed, at all, but she was trying to tell the police he was. Needless to say I lost it and left. Drove 3 hours without a shower in the place I spent over 200 dollars for a shower. If you travel to Ocean City, MD- avoid the quality inn ocean front on 54th street until choice hotels revise who the hire as management.

I was happy to be able to find a hotel in ocean city for the stay with the family. I was very excited until the day before when it attempted to charge my card the day BEFORE instead of "pay at property". This was my first red flag but the call I had with the lady gave me hopes that it would be a good experience. We were able to get a good view of the ocean, the crib was available, everything was good so far. I was not happy that the parking was a separate pay of $10 AND a $25 deposit required. These were things I was not aware of. The hotel does have indoor and outdoor pool. While the outdoor pool is seasonal, it looks more accommodating to a small amount of people. The indoor pool was very disappointing. Pure smell of chlorine, water looked foggy. Kids were in the hot tub! I don't mind the kids, I am just surprised with the lack of supervision for the rules placed. I don't think I'd come back to this one.

At the end of April, it is still off-season, but Ocean City is starting to wake up. This weekend is Springfest, so lots of hotels and restaurants were starting to book up. I was welcomed warmly at the front desk. They gave me a higher floor room, as requested, #620. The room category was an Oceanfront Suite with Two Queens, Pool View. They have been doing some renovations, and while this property has been here for quite a while, we were very pleased with how fresh and nice the room is. There was a spectacular view, a tub in the bathroom, a kitchenette with a fridge, microwave & dishwasher, and a balcony with table and chairs. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were very nice. We enjoyed our morning coffee with views of the sunrise. The outdoor pools are not open yet, but the indoor pool was great. There are two hot tubs on a platform by the indoor pool. It was all clean and well kept. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
