A drive through with espresso. What more could you ask for? I went through Windmill Espresso for a warm drink on a typical rainy day in Seattle. Their menu is limited, but covers the basics. I ordered the white hot chocolate, a drink that feels oddly similar to a hug. It's both cozy and sweet. I also picked out a few snacks to sate my appetite for the long road trip. Their baked goods were honestly not the tastiest, but did the trick. Would love to see them partner with a local business vs. pre packaged goods. read more

Cute little place! First time trying this place out as we are staying near by. The ladies were very amigable and helpful as we were first timers. They guided us thru the process and helped us find the right choice. Got the Frappe with matcha green tea and iced latte. Both delicious and prices were reasonable. Windows are walk by or drive thru. Will definitely be coming by. Don't forget your stamp card and "triple stamp Wednesday"! read more

This is my favorite coffee shop. My absolute favorite!. I've driven and walked there and every time they are so friendly. They always say hi to my dog and my toddler!. My dog loves this place because she always gets a treat and my little one loves it too because they always listen and respond to him, even when we have no idea what he's saying lol The friendliness of the staff is what keeps me going back...plus their coffee is hella good too! read more

Love this espresso stand! Placed an order for a drink, recommend by my brother & they got it right, small talk was nice, love their muffin tops! Wish they would make that a regular drink, my whole family orders it & sometimes some girls think it's a big train & it doesn't come out the same, there are other barista's who've been there longer & its like cake for them bc it's a pretty common drink. Super delicious!!! Especially if they still have their chocolate whipped cream, that goes quick though read more

Service: they're always so nice! And you can't go wrong with the punch card. Price: Inexpensive and they have so many size options! Drinks: my drinks are always great. My husband gets the speciality drinks (I think one was a kit kat mocha) and they're too sweet. He normally brings them home and dilutes with milk. The gals will put less sugar in if you ask . The only thing I miss when compared to other coffee stands is they don't put chocolate covered espresso beans on their coffee. read more

I was a little worried the drinks would be disappointing. The windmill makes it seem like a tourist trap which I fell for. BUT that definitely was not the case. I got a white mocha iced coffee and I'm definitely getting it next time I'm in the area. It was sweet but it also had a strong coffee taste which is exactly how I like it. My husband got a lotus energy drink with blackberry flavor. It was tasty but not overly sweet. Definitely stop by here for some great drinks post hike or on the way to your next adventure. read more

Super rude staff. Will never come back here again! It was hard for us to see the menu at the drive through. We asked where the menu was and the employee told us. We then heard her complain to her coworker and the menu was "in front of our fucking face" and called us an idiot. They were cussing us in the back even though we were right there. So extremely rude and disappointing! read more

I love this place. I live in Seattle but come to Sultan almost every weekend...and am lucky enough to drive past this coffee stand. Always fast, friendly service with a smile. I just drink a boring ole' black americano but it's delicious every time. They know how to pull shots. It's truly an art form. Starbucks ain't got nuthin' on this place. Highly recommended. read more

This used to be my favorite place to go for coffee but unfortunately the mask mandate doesn't apply. Every time we've driven by there has been at least one inside without a mask. That's very disappointing, as such I'll have to be finding a different place after so many years. read more

I've been traveling up all the way through Oregon and Washington for the last four months and have made a hobby out of stopping at as many of the cute coffee stands as I can. This windmill-shaped coffee hut is next to the Dutch Cup Motel. I really don't understand the connection between Sultan, WA and the Netherlands, but it makes for some nice international flare in this tiny mountain railroad town. Coffee quality = great.
