Great selection of doors and windows. The staff is nice and the taller Italian guy with dark hair was knowledgeable, helpful and knew what he was doing. Needed to pick a door to replace my parents' door since they both passed away and the salesperson did a great job in helping my brother and I pick a winner. The selection was vast but we picked a nice door with steel scrolls and privacy window with frost. It is a double door so price was going up quick. We picked everything out and all said it was a little under $15k...A lot but the image that comes up when configured looks stunning. Bravo to the salesperson Mike for being patient, answering questions and lending his experience to making an awesome albeit expensive selection for the doors - from door, to style, to glass and color. Now this place is not the place if you are looking for a cheap front door. If you are looking for quality doors and the hardware to match this is the place. We moved forward with the selection and since it is custom door there is a lead time. That is fine since custom work generally dictates that. Plus, we did not want a cheap door since everyone else in the neighborhood rock $$$ doors as well. Sometimes you need to keep up with the Jones as they say. I recently purchased an Andersen replacement sliding screen door at Windowrama in Paramus. I measured the door and realized it would not fit in either of my vehicles and therefore needed it delivered. The cost for the door was $254.69. A little expensive, but so is just about everything lately. I was informed that the delivery charge was over $200.00! Why, you may ask does it cost that much to deliver a door weighing less than five pounds to a location only five minutes from the store? Because they didn't have it in stock and the delivery truck comes from Long Island. I could go to Home Depot, rent a truck, and have a meal at a 5 star restaurant on the way home for considerably less money. I informed the gentleman at the counter that I would find another way to get it home. Also, there was an additional $12.00 delivery charge on my bill. That's because they use an 3rd party to deliver products to their showroom. Seriously? And that's my problem? On the flip side, the staff members were knowledgeable and very helpful and the door arrived a week earlier than expected. 5 stars to the staff and 0 stars for Windowrama's pricing policies! read more

Just returned from their Eatontown location where we went to discuss replacing patio doors. We were the only people in the store and the man behind the counter barely greeted us. He spent the entire time we wandered around his store working on his computer. He never asked if he could help, nor did he take time to explain the features of the various patio doors we were looking at. Just endlessly typing away on his computer. When we asked what doors type might be the best, he explained that they'd have to take measurements first, then he would let us know his recommendations. At no time did he leave his desk or stop typing on the computer. Even when we stood directly in front of him, he couldn't maintain eye contact for more than ten seconds before he went back to the keyboard. Most of our conversation was with the top of his head. Lesson learned: if you're that disinterested in the customers right in front of you, then you don't deserve their business. read more

I recently had 15 windows replaced. They were Anderson windows replacing older Anderson windows. After waiting 1 week shy of 9 months they installed my new windows. When they were done they asked me sign off they they worked. I would not do that so I signed that I didn't know. A day or 2 later I realized that some of the windows don't close properly. I realized that these people either knew they didn't work or didn't even check. They obviously do not take pride in their work or they would have checked and said it was a defective product that they would repair, instead its been three appointments and I won't see replacement windows or repaired window till March, 3 months since they were installed. If you get the same installers as me good luck. What good is a warranty if you can't trust the installers. read more

I ordered a custom sized interior door 12/9 and was told wait time 7-10 days. Door finally came in last week. When contractor picked it up door knob opening was put on the wrong side so could not be used. Clearly specifications on order were not followed. When contractor called Windowrama staff he was not helpful stating we'd have to go through manager for refund!!!! Poor service all around. Would not use them again. read more

We ordered a door on Sept 30 clearly stating that we need it to be installed before the cold weather, were promised the new door in November. When we have not heard on dates by end of November we reached out and were promised the December 2 delivery. The blamed COVID moving production from 3 weeks to 7-8.....but it's been more than 8 by that time. By now it is cold weather and it is really cold on the first floor - we specified time because of the draft from under and around the door. Then we were told it would be only produced in the end of December which does not work for our personal plans, nor the weather. When we asked to confirm the installation date that would require us to move travel plans but still be doable - radio silence. Do not fall into this trap, do not deal with the people you have to chase to get your prepayment back or be prepared to indefinite delays. read more

Ugh. What a bad experience. I ordered a Therma-Tru replacement front door with sidelight and: 1) There was a manufacturing defect on the door. So now I have a front door that is not fully secured until the replacement part comes in. The strike plate hole was nowhere NEAR the door latch! I can't believe it left the factory that way. 2) The blind insert inside the sidelight window doesn't close properly. 3) Worst of all, the glass surrounding the inlay design is clear glass, not frosted. I told the salesman many times that I needed privacy for this front door, and right now, I have very little. The catalog description is a privacy rating of 8. I rate it a "2", and I'm very upset. Neither the WindowRama people or the factory will address this. The photos in the catalog were very, very misrepresentative of the actual product. Stay away. Use Pella. I'm sorry I didn't. read more

Ordered a new Anderson Metal Screen door with retractable screen in Feb./March 2021 for a property I have in Paramus NJ. Perfect for what I wanted to achieve. Wait time for delivery 10-12 weeks. Much longer and more expensive than Bencke Lumber, a local building supply store, but WindowRama has installers. The WindowRama operation is a total disaster. They are experts on passing the buck and not getting solutions. Supply chain issues, then service department overworked, missing paperwork/PO's/orders. Door finally delivered to be installed in June 2021 and it was damaged. Now I have to wait 4-6 weeks for a replacement. Supposed to be in stock by 7/31. On 8/12 I follow up. The Paramus Store Sales Associate was useless other than I did get the service department phone number from him. His response they don't take our calls and respond in a timely manner. Called his two contacts which one of them he told me would never return my call. Left messages at 9:00 AM. As of 5:31 PM still not returned. Called the main number at 10:00 AM and did speak to someone who was nice but said he couldn't find out where my order was. He said he would get back to me shortly. He would check on it. I called back 6 hours later and a service representative told me she needed her supervisor to come back to find out where my door is. At 4:45 PM I called back and spoke to a representative who said my door was shipped to another customer by mistake. Give them another 1-3 days to find the door. Even if they find the door there is no timetable for installation. I originally waited 3 weeks for the original installation. So, as of 8/12/21 I'm 6 months+/- waiting for a door. So glad I shopped local and went with WindowRama.....not!!!! I can adjust to delays. I can't adjust to the apathetic attitude of the sales staff after you pay for a door or a service department whose leadership is lacking. Buyers beware.......think twice about Windowrama. UPDATE- 8/13/21... As you can see Sharon responded to this review by attempting to indicate that WindowRama communicated with me. THEY NEVER CALLED... they admitted they misdialed!!! I responded to Sharon that she is misleading the public with her self-serving response. As of 2:18 PM on 8/13/21 they still haven't called me today to let me know they found my door and got it back and are scheduling an installation. read more

I am in the midst of a large renovation on my home. My architect and contractor and I chose expensive Anderson windows through Windowrama, as well as two very expensive custom doors. While I am sympathetic with what we are all going through in this pandemic and have been extremely patient with timing to receive the materials, since the installation, I have experienced nothing but headaches and unresponsiveness. Both of the custom doors were made incorrectly. And Windowrama as taken responsibility for these mistakes. However, their unresponsiveness to my contractors and architects calls, emails, and texts is completely unprofessional. This has been going on for weeks and I am living in my house with the flimsy, temporary locks they sent the doors with, a door that won't stay in position on it's hinges, and delays that continue to cost me aggravation and money. We ordered windows, screens and doors for our new construction. The salesman in Eatontown, NJ was very pleasant and helpful. In our opinion the salesman for our windows/screens from Paramus, NJ, Mike Rosenberg, was very unprofessional. He placed the contract for our windows/screen materials under a different name than ours without making clear to us he was doing that (had we understood what he was doing we would have never approved that) and then refused to speak with us because he said we weren't his customer because the order was not placed under our name. To add insult to injury Windowrama is trying to force us to take delivery of the screens by 5/25/22 (we were told through a third party at the direction of "Gary" at corporate) even though we tried to explain to one of his managers Mr. Boyd that we have not completed sheet rock on the project yet and have no where to secure the screens before 6/25/22. Mr. Boyd has been trying to be helpful but we were just advised that he is now being directed to "stay out of it". A message was relayed to us by Windowrama "either take delivery of the screens by 5/25/22 or we will keep your materials (screens/hardware/SG door handles) and you can sue us to get them back." I find this very hard approach by Windowrama to be unreasonable and tried to reach out to Gary (and Cory and Vin) none of which called me back and was advised they will not call us back. They have not heard our side of the story and it appears they don't care to. All these materials have been paid for in full and Windowrama assured us originally that they would hold them until the house was secured to accept delivery in a safe place and not damage the screens. Windowrama's corporate page says "Our reputation is built on........ a dedication to outstanding customer service......We guarantee our work and your satisfaction." Someone at Windowrama needs to revisit this statement as it is clearly not true in our case. I ask that someone please help us in this situation. We reached out to "Gary" at corporate for help, but he is refusing to return any messages. I hope someone higher up in the corporate ladder will read this and please help us with our reasonable request. Thank you. read more

Drive the 20 minutes, get there at 3:40 and basically I feel like they didn't want my business. One person working, with customers...ask "how long do you think it might be?" And the response is "I can't answer that, and we don't do 'take-offs' on a Saturday" I'm not really sure what kind of response that a but...well, didn't really warm me up to spend $10k there. This company is awful. I ordered 15k worth of windows from them and you'd think they were paying ME the 15k. I was told the work would be done in two days. It was not. It took twice as long. They were also kind enough to remove a window without having the replacement. By my own stupidity, I choose to order a second phase of windows believing their apologies and giving them a second chance. I was promised that the job would take one day and if I took off a day that it would be completed. I asked about an act of God. They said don't worry it will be done that day. Fast forward, God acted, but not before every weatherman told us, so I called and asked if we were on the day before. No response. I have the email -- it went to two people. Dutifully the installers showed up on the proscribed day. They were waiting on the windows which never came due to weather. Thankfully I wouldn't let them begin work until I -- yes I -- saw each window to insure that they were correct. They never came so they never started. I just wasted another vacation day for Windowrama. Not to worry -- they'll be back Monday. JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK. I DON'T HAVE A 4TH DAY TO LOSE. read more

Had a terrible experience here!! Company sent out a guy to my home to give me an estimate on installation of patio door. Guy came to my home and seemed professional. He emailed me an Anderson quote and I had also asked for a Marvin quote. However, never heard from him after that. I emailed him and left voicemail as well and later that evening to my shock got a text from him that read. " You got me fired a#$%hole". All I asked was for a Marvin quote. Not sure how he got fired for that. But he took the time to text and leave me an obscene message. I was so appalled called manager the next day at store and he told me the guy did not seem right and yes he was let go. I was furious!! They should have not sent someone so unprofessional and crazy to my home and I let him into my home. Beware! Manager offered to send someone else.. are you kidding?? No way! Walked in on Saturday with a list of 30 windows. Only 1 sales person was at the store and 2 people were already waiting as he was explaining to a nice couple different styles of doors. 10 minutes in and he was still going on and on and on. Sorry I left kind sales guy, I had to be at work on Monday. If you visit on Saturday pack snacks and pillow, it will take couple of days to price your windows. 3 days later got a quote over the phone and price for Andersen 200 series was $65 more per window then Big Home improvement store.
