I have stayed at RiversEdge Resort countless times. This is the first time we decided to have breakfast. It was Memorial Day weekend but slow due to inclement weather. We arrived shortly before 9am and had no wait for table. Although there were only half a dozen other tables of diners service was a slow crawl. It was a lovely view so I just drank in the ambiance of the Bay and watched the tour boats docking and departing. Ham and cheese omelettes light and fluffy with more than enough toast with a wide selection of jellies. Home fries on the side were a little bland but easily rectified with salt and pepper. The orange juice was served un chilled in a 6 oz glass for $4. It was more than enough food for two with leftovers to go. $41 though with no coffee or refills on the OJ. Nice experience but will probably do breakfast at diners in town next visit. read more

Windows on the Bay is in the Riveredge Resort. We ate out back on the deck. The view was nice. There was no music playing at all, which was odd, but you could hear noise from a band at another restaurant nearby. Food & drink was good. They bring you a little loaf of bread and butter, as well as a red sauce. The bread was hot and delicious! My husband had New England clam chowder and enjoyed it. For the main meal, I had a burger, which is my favorite food to eat everywhere. It was cooked perfectly. I had considered the chicken parm that came with fettuccini Alfredo. I asked if it came with a side salad. No it did not, but I could order a side salad if I wanted to. So for $10 less, I got my trusty go-to order, the burger, which had fries as a side and felt like a more complete meal. My husband got the steak which had lots of fat. They don't have a dessert menu but our waitress told us the options. We got the strawberry cheesecake for dessert. It had white chocolate drizzle which we did not enjoy and would have asked to be left off, if we had known. Our waitress was very attentive. Some spaces were dated (the bathroom) , others had been updated. My husband gave it a 6/10 but the view will make it a 7/10. read more

We had a great Pancake Breakfast with a wonderful view. Quiet and serene. Service was Great reasonable prices.

We were staying at the hotel so we decided to try this place out. Great waitstaff. The food was good. It wasn't like come back amazing. My son was so disappointed with the pancake. description was Golden Brown Pancake with Fresh Blueberries baked inside, Drizzled with Cream Cheese Icing.. so we assumed it was a blueberry pancake with cream cheese icing. Alas it was not. It was a citrus pancake with blueberries It had orange zest in the batter. He's six.. and citrus zested pancakes aren't his thing. There is zero way we would have ordered this pancake knowing it was citrus flavored. My side of hash browns were generous. The fruit cup was a little less generous considering it was five dollars. My husband enjoyed his breakfast saying it was good and probably would order something different next time. We all ordered juice for breakfast so that was 4.00 for each very small cup of juice. The food is pricey. We spent over 50.00 for two adults and one child for breakfast. It's ok and nice location. read more

The only reason we did not walk out was the great service...the kitchen was slow....all we ordered was French onion soup and chicken Caesar salad. Not even sure is it was French onion soup bland, peppery, no croutons, not even sure it was Gruyère cheese The salad was also bland and some of the lettuce was brown; croutons were soft not crispy at all. So happy to find this restaurant. Been to a few others in the area and this was our favorite by far!! Clean, open, amazing service, good food, and nice views. I got the strawberry Snoop to drink (their twist on a strawberry daiquiri) and it was probably the best I've ever had...anywhere! Then for dinner we got a few apps and all were good. Dinner we tried the burger, fried fish special, salads and chicken fingers, all delish and great portions. Best part of our night was the service. Angela was our waitress and she was THE BEST! We had the buffet...pasta salad no flavor, corn over cooked, chicken dry, hamburger with no offerings of toppings, pulled pork looked like pulled right out of a plastic bag, hotdogs tough, small potatoes. Poor staff was running around and was so overwhelmed and the front hostess team was disorganized. Very costly. Only plus is that it is a great view of the castle. Wonderful breakfast experience! We loved the food and we loved our waitress Brenda. It was the most relaxing, pleasant 3 generation meal of a great weekend in Alexander Bay. We had Greek omelets, cheddar cheese omelets, French toast, and unlimited coffee. The view from the patio was wonderful and the price was equivalent to other excellent breakfast restaurants. We made 8:00p reservation so that we were able to order dinner and watch the sunset. This restaurant offers fantastic views. The moment we walked in everyone was very friendly it was a good atmosphere. Everything we ordered was really perfectly cooked. Started with their French onion soup which had some blue cheese as part of their gooey cheese topping, it gave the soup a great savory flavor which was delicious. We also ordered the fried clam fritter, plus steamed clams. For the main course I had their Frutti Di Mare Arrabiata which was pretty good it was fresh seafood, over linguine with a perfect spicy tangy tomato sauce. Everyone else in my party ordered their Holland Street chicken (recommended by the waitress) and Veal parmesan. The pasta that came with the Veal parmesan was creamy and cheesy like an Alfredo sauce; it was so good couldn't stop eating it and it wasn't even on my plate. It was really a perfect dinner. If we were staying in the area longer we would have definitely gone back for dinner again. Came here for breakfast and really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful view by the water! I got the Belgium waffle with blueberries on it and it was amazing. The service was quick at the beginning but fizzled out at the end. Our waitress was also a little to quiet. read more

Stay away!! Crappy service. Then to check my account and find out the waitress CREATED HER OWN TIP has me livid. My menu had nothing in it. Literally was blank except for the front page of the restaurant.l so I had to share with my husband because our waitress took a while to come to our table. The food was sub par. The two items my husband ordered were unavailable, so that was irritating to start with. My sons burger was very dry. I will say the fries were awesome. I'm not sure how they make them or if they are brought in frozen, either way they were awesome. My key west salad was nothing to write home about. The shrimp were good but the salad was the size of a side salad at any other restaurant and it only had 3 shrimp on it. Which I wouldn't mind because too much lettuce bothers me because I never eat it all, but at $12 I feel it wasn't worth it. We were offered water when we first arrived and that's all we chose to drink because there is no beverages listed on the menu. Upon refills they bring a pitcher and pour mostly ice back into your cup. It was very irritating because when our waitress did come to our table (about every 10min+) we had to ask for refills. I don't recommend this place at all. This establishment is lucky yelp doesn't allow no stars. read more

First, the outdoor view is outstanding. The food was very good. A little pricey though but it's definitely a more upscale restaurant than the other pubs and places in Alex Bay. First time visitor to this area. Came for Bolt Castle tour. First impression is a nice restaurant with a lot of seating. Lake & dock views also. Nice menu has a wide variety of food. Our waitress was sweet. I asked for a wine sample before I committed to a glass & she did. I chose another wine to go with my salmon. My husband chose the beef Gorgonzola pasta. He loved his & I enjoyed mine but the wild rice is too hard & chewy for my taste, hence the 4 stars. The prices are reasonable for the quality here. They have several desserts. I had the Peanut butter pie & hubby had raspberry choc cheesecake. Both yumm. Very happy with service & dinner. Would come back but probably won't be here again unless hubby wants to rent a houseboat or?? read more

I wish I could get breakfast here, but it seems every waitress did everything but wait on us. Two waitresses actually stood and talked to a table while we sat with nothing, not even water. This is after waiting for easily five-ten minutes of waiting to sit in a nearly empty restaurant. Disappointing because the hotel and lounge this restaurant is located in is great, but nothing is more disheartening than the help openly complaining about other patrons who left because they had similar experiences. The food was not fantastic, and the staff would just periodically come by and say "the kitchen is slow" offering no compensation or other info. My dinner was So disappointing . The scallops which were high in price had no taste. I had to add salt to that and the penne to get it to have a taste. I was looking forward to the dinner and was so disappointed. Our room was also lacking the mattress was so bad we both woke up in pain and it was supposed to be the best because room because of the view of Boldt Castle. The hotel needs to be revamped. What a disappointment! For such a great location, the food is terrible. We felt a if the poor selection was followed with being out of staples like boneless wings and shrimp cocktail and scallops. For a place that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it's amazing how extensive and varied the menu is. The portions are huge for the price. When the weather is nice, it's great to sit outdoors by the water, with a beautiful view of Boldt Castle. read more

Rueben was excellent. Fries were excellent. Chris, our server was extremely nice. It is the bottom floor of the River's Edge Resort. No signage made docking a big question in our minds. We dined here multiple times during our stay at riveredge. The food was excellent-- especially the stuffed shrimp and the soup. What was even more excellent was our waitress who went out of her way to make sure our daughter had an excellent experience everytime we were there -- she hung up my daughters drawings on the wall and truly made her feel special. read more

The view is great of Boldt Castle, but the food and service were below par. After a 45 minute wait for lunch, our order was served. It wasn't a busy time too, there were 4 other parties in the restaurant waiting for food at the same time. The French onion soup was delicious, but the garden salad tasted and looked like it was a week old bagged salad. The Caesar Salad was wilted with soggy croutons and tasted like it was made yesterday. Although the tiki bar was open, we were unable to order drinks from there. Since our wait was so long, someone in my party walked over to the bar, ordered and got 2 drinks and brought them back to our table. There were also a lot of bees on the deck. They seemed to try to attract the bees with syrup or something of the sort, but the plate was only a few feet from our table. It was a good idea to try to control the bees, but poorly executed with close proximity to the guests. We had high hopes for this new place, but were disappointed and will not be back. read more
