Toast, eggs, hash brown and bacon

We were staying at the hotel so we decided to try this place out. Great waitstaff. The food was good. It wasn't like come back amazing. My son was so disappointed with the pancake. description was Golden Brown Pancake with Fresh Blueberries baked inside, Drizzled with Cream Cheese Icing.. so we assumed it was a blueberry pancake with cream cheese icing. Alas it was not. It was a citrus pancake with blueberries It had orange zest in the batter. He's six.. and citrus zested pancakes aren't his thing. There is zero way we would have ordered this pancake knowing it was citrus flavored. My side of hash browns were generous. The fruit cup was a little less generous considering it was five dollars. My husband enjoyed his breakfast saying it was good and probably would order something different next time. We all ordered juice for breakfast so that was 4.00 for each very small cup of juice. The food is pricey. We spent over 50.00 for two adults and one child for breakfast. It's ok and nice location.

The only reason we did not walk out was the great service...the kitchen was slow....all we ordered was French onion soup and chicken Caesar salad. Not even sure is it was French onion soup bland, peppery, no croutons, not even sure it was Gruyère cheese The salad was also bland and some of the lettuce was brown; croutons were soft not crispy at all. The service was great and friendly. The view of the sunset was wonderful. The only only reason it got 2 stars

Strawberry Snoop (strawberry daiquiri made with gin) SO GOOD!!

So happy to find this restaurant. Been to a few others in the area and this was our favorite by far!! Clean, open, amazing service, good food, and nice views. I got the strawberry Snoop to drink (their twist on a strawberry daiquiri) and it was probably the best I've ever had...anywhere! Then for dinner we got a few apps and all were good. Dinner we tried the burger, fried fish special, salads and chicken fingers, all delish and great portions. Best part of our night was the service. Angela was our waitress and she was THE BEST! Super friendly and knowledgeable. Would come back for sure!

We made 8:00p reservation so that we were able to order dinner and watch the sunset. This restaurant offers fantastic views. The moment we walked in everyone was very friendly it was a good atmosphere. Everything we ordered was really perfectly cooked. Started with their French onion soup which had some blue cheese as part of their gooey cheese topping, it gave the soup a great savory flavor which was delicious. We also ordered the fried clam fritter, plus steamed clams. For the main course I had their Frutti Di Mare Arrabiata which was pretty good it was fresh seafood, over linguine with a perfect spicy tangy tomato sauce. Everyone else in my party ordered their Holland Street chicken (recommended by the waitress) and Veal parmesan. The pasta that came with the Veal parmesan was creamy and cheesy like an Alfredo sauce; it was so good couldn't stop eating it and it wasn't even on my plate. It was really a perfect dinner. If we were staying in the area longer we would have definitely gone back for dinner again. The funny thing is that this restaurant was located in the River Edge Resort right next door to where were staying. We found this place by accident and it was a good find.

Our meal and experience at Holland Bistro was excellent! The steamed Clams and duck wings were delicious and the seafood entree called fruitti to de mare was outstanding! I want to give a shout out to Madeline and the wait staff that helped us move inside when a storm came through rapidly while we were dining outside.Thank you!

Belgium waffle with blueberries on it

Came here for breakfast and really enjoyed it. It was a beautiful view by the water! I got the Belgium waffle with blueberries on it and it was amazing. The service was quick at the beginning but fizzled out at the end. Our waitress was also a little to quiet.

I believe they also serve lunch and dinner. This is in the middle of Downtown Alexandria Bay and right on the water. If you need the GF bread make sure to call and confirm they have it in stock before you come. I did make the call before coming and was glad I did. I ordered French toast and it came out on what looked like burger buns. It was still very good and tasty. I appreciated their ability to adapt but found it interesting they didn't mention this. My uncle sat at another table, at the same time, and asked for GF toast and was told there was no GF bread left. Just mentioning this because you might want to question all of this on the phone before you come if this would bother you. I had the GF French toast with Nutella drizzle and a side of bacon. It was tasty and a healthy portion. The Nutella was a nice touch. The bacon was a little thin for my liking, could have been a little crispier but there was a good amount for a side. My significant other agrees with my comment about the bacon. But he said the toast was very good and the deep fried home fries were pretty good. Overall a standard breakfasts Prices were reasonable and service was great. A good option for a quick breakfast if you are in the area. And many seats offer great views of the water.

Finding the entrance was like a game of hide-and-seek gone wrong. There's no signage, zero lighting, and walking back at night from the main street feels more like the opening scene of a horror movie than a relaxing vacation. It's eerie, deserted, and downright creepy. The restaurant? Only serves dinner--no breakfast, no lunch. Good luck figuring out when it opens, though. When I asked the teenage staff at Pointe Grill, they stared at me blankly before going back to fishing and smoking off the dock directly in front of the entrance. It was like interrupting their hangout spot, not asking a simple question as a paying guest. The property itself is in serious decline. Dirty, dank, and reeking of cigarettes and mildew. The smell hits you immediately, as do the scattered cigarette butts littering the grounds. It's clear that upkeep is not a priority. To their credit, the front desk staff were friendly and welcoming--but that level of service unfortunately doesn't extend to the rest of the establishment. The rooms with a view of Boldt Castle might sound romantic, but step inside and it's like walking into a forgotten relic of the 1970s. The decor is outdated to the point of being uncomfortable: mirrored walls, an aging jacuzzi, and cheap, bubbling vinyl flooring that looks like it was installed by someone's cousin over a weekend. The door to our room didn't even seal properly--it looked like it had been kicked in at least once, maybe more. The balcony was filthy, crawling with bugs, covered in vines, and in desperate need of a power wash. The railing was rickety and rusted--definitely not somewhere you'd want to linger with a drink in hand. As for amenities, the hot water took a full ten minutes to arrive, which felt symbolic of the overall experience: slow, neglected, and not worth the wait. For the price per night, this place is a complete letdown. It feels more like a rundown roadside motel than the getaway it pretends to be. Skip it. There are far better options in the area that actually care about their guests--and their property.

The place has an indoor dining room, bar area and outside patio seating overlooking the river.  I stopped by for a late lunch recently on a sunny day. I headed to the patio where I decided to take in the riverfront views. I was given the light fare food menu which offers traditional Canadian pub fare including appetizers, wings, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, fish & chips, and pizzas. I got an ice water and decided on the Maritime Lobster Wrap ($19.95) served with fries and cole slaw, which was served to my table in under 10 minutes. The lobster wrap (cut in halves) was a good size with lettuce, shredded cheese, carrots, and a dense mix of shredded lobster meat in a mayo dressing. The fresh cut fries were firm and hot. The cole slaw (shredded cabbage, carrot, red cabbage) were crisp and creamy. After I was done, I was promptly given the check which came out to $22.54 CAD before tip or $17.11 USD before tip. Overall, a good choice for lunch on a very nice day. I watched several boats pass by as I ate my lunch.

The restaurant was not surprisingly empty as it was shoulder season and it was at 11am. I had a cup of seafood chowder, since I didn't want to just order a coke. The chowder was decent. The ingredients were good, but the soup itself was a bit bland. I didn't expect much from a seaside pub in rural Ontario to be honest though. Service was great, no complaints at all. I imagine their entrees are better looking at the few reviews.
