My first order was in 2008 for Hunter Douglas pleated Blinds, capable of being raised up or down. The estimator who assessed the project and took all measurements was professional. The installer, Dean, was equally professional. He arrived as scheduled and did a careful and thorough installation. Yes, that was almost 10 years ago, but I remember it clearly. Recently one of the cords on a blind broke, I guess from extensive use. Actually, it's a blind that gets the most use in the entire house, so I wasn't surprised that this happened, although I was still disappointed. Being compulsive I found my receipts from the original purchase, and called them. While my first call was not returned, I reached the owner on the second call, and made contact with Wendy, who appears to be their office staff. An appointment was set up for the following week, at a time convenient for me. I was advised that their minimum service call was $75., but they did not bill if you decided not to have the work done. That's more than reasonable. Dean, who did the original installation, showed up at the promised time, and after assessing the problem, re-strung the blind. While it sounds easy, it actually took about 40 minutes to remove the blind,re-string it, and reinstall. He was careful and did a great job. I asked him to check out all the other Blinds (9), and felt good when he advised that they were all fine. No one was ever rude. And Dean put on booties when entering the house, without the need for me to ask him to do so. I liked that! I would not hesitate to recommend them if you have a small of large purchase and installation, or need a repair. I can't say they are the least expensive, you can and should always get estimates from other companies. They have been in business for 15 years, which must mean something.

I found Boca Blinds after reading some decent reviews on them. A woman answered and said that she would call me back to schedule an in home appointment. . Then I called back on Nov 20 and this time I had to leave a voice mail. . Also I drove by there a couple of times as I work in the local Boca area but I never ever see anyone in the office I cannot help but think: If they are this difficult to get in touch with, what's it going to be like after the sale?

What DOES impress me is that Peter Masterjohn, from First Impressions, has been incredibly helpful with my continued interactions with Schledge!
