I recently needed a windshield replacement for my 2015 Nissan Rogue after a rock chip quickly…read morespread into a crack well over six inches long. The crack continued growing throughout the day, making replacement unavoidable. I shopped around and received quotes from several companies: +Pulidos Auto Glass: $427.59 +Apple Glass Company: $429.93 +Safelite AutoGlass: $496.54 I ultimately chose Pulidos Auto Glass, and I'm glad I did. They were able to install my new windshield the very next day at the best price. Before scheduling, I asked John Pulido a long list of questions about the windshield manufacturer, DOT certification, acoustic glass, molding, warranty, mobile service, and installation details. Instead of giving vague answers, he answered everything directly and professionally. He even checked my VIN before discussing specifications and confirmed my Rogue required an acoustic windshield. John explained that the replacement glass could come from manufacturers such as Pilkington, PGW, Fuyao, or AGC. After verifying my vehicle, he confirmed he would be installing a Pilkington acoustic windshield, which I was very happy to hear. The installation was performed at my home, which made the entire process incredibly convenient. My appointment was scheduled for 12:00 PM, and John actually arrived slightly early. The installation moved quickly and efficiently, and by 12:37 PM he was already calling me to let me know the work was completed. The new windshield included: +Pilkington acoustic glass +DOT-certified construction +Solar band +New molding +Mobile installation +Labor warranty John took care to protect the vehicle's interior and dashboard during the installation and cleaned up everything afterward. There was no mess left behind. He also explained the curing process clearly, including leaving the tape on the windshield for 24 hours before removing it. Most importantly, the finished product has been excellent. There have been no leaks, rattles, wind noise, or any other issues since the replacement. Overall, Pulidos Auto Glass delivered exactly what I was looking for: quality glass, knowledgeable service, mobile convenience, excellent communication, and a fair price. I saved money compared to both Apple Glass and Safelite while receiving a high-quality Pilkington acoustic windshield installed at my home. If you need a windshield replacement in Houston, I would absolutely recommend John Pulido and Pulidos Auto Glass.

When your car is broken into & you call your insurance and they recommend Safelite…read more.. My car was broken into on a Monday, after hours, call and schedule service, feeling relief that Tuesday, Robert the technician would come out. Even got an email confirming the appointment. Informed them that I was in a parking garage because it was going to rain and I didn't want to risk inside getting wet, no problem. Technician will be out, Great! Wrong, Tuesday rolls around and no call or status of Robert. I call the Safelite agent, a direct number to the shop is not provided. And even the agent had a hard time getting a hold of the shop. Understandable, they might be busy. Ally the customer service rep is more than helpful to reschedule, I again inform her that my car is in a garage, no problem. New technician, Kareem is assigned. Wednesday rolls around, Kareem the new technician gives me a call to confirm my window is between 3-5PM. Ok, again, notify that my car is in a parking garage. No problem. 430PM, I call Kareem directly as I did have his number. He says he's finishing up his current job and would be out by 530ish, ok... 558pm Kareem calls to ask what the clearance is on the garage, I tell him and "unfortunately our service trucks do not fit in the garage..." after about 15 minutes of expressing my frustration and maintaining my patience on how this is being handled we end call with him speaking to his manager on Thursday morning to possibly assign a different truck or tech. Thursday 8AM, I call the Safelite service number and agent, Briana, calls the shop, Tyler the manager gets on the call and informs me that their trucks can't enter. Will note that between Wednesday & Thursday he did offer a slight discount on the installation, however now, the convenience of having a tech come service my car is gone. I work in downtown and would need to drive to Pasadena to have the window repaired. I will say Tyler did what he could to assist at that point I was expecting a huge discount. But alas, I take the care to their Pasadena shop. Window was repaired quickly. Staff was friendly in shop. After the window was repaired I was grateful it was done... or so I thought... days pass and I use the back shield wiper... take 10 seconds to watch the video and let me know if you see something off? What is the wiper wiping? The window or the door? I call to schedule it to be fixed. Had to schedule for a weekend because I had already taken time off to resolve the initial broken window. Hopefully mine was a one off situation and in future additional questions are asked like "what's the clearance on the garage you're in?" Made for an eventful week. Glad the broken window was resolved, hope the wiper is fixed & At least it has a lifetime guarantee on the window too. Price wise, for the service I got, feel should've been less.

However, in my opinion, from the standpoint of someone garnering quotes for a future mirror replacement, the receptionist or customer service associate who answered the phone did not have a good enough concept of (potential) customer relations. After a truly harrowing, somewhat traumatizing freeway experience, I thought the person answering the phone would at least have some kind of empathy or even just a professional, friendly tone. My initial request to speak to a mechanic or service advisor was ignored. Anyways, I volunteered info about the make, model, year and color of the car, but she only seemed interested in the VIN number, which I provided. Any other place asks for all of this info. She actually said I read the VIN number too fast at the end of my reading of it, which makes no sense as I never read numbers that fast out of courtesy. I even took the extra step of making sure she got the letters correctly, but, again, she did not appreciate that. Instead, she rather unprofessionally and abruptly ended the entire call. I've never had this kind of low vibration, low intelligence customer service from any auto-related business. So, I called back and left a message thinking perhaps the owner would contact me either the same day or the next, to no avail. Every other business I have contacted, from dealerships to independent repair and body shops, have had much more impressive and professional communications.
