As I have previously reviewed this building as a resident, I am back to give an update. I moved out of Cirrus Seattle a year ago. But as my housing needs changed, I needed a new place ASAP. I found myself coming "home". I enjoyed living at Cirrus so much, there was no other option than to return to this wonderful community. Thanks to Lauren and Christopher, I was able to apply, sign the lease, complete move in inspection and receive keys in less than 36 hours! Coming from someone in the multi family housing industry, the service was impeccable. My new apartment there is amazing and I couldn't be happier with everything from A-Z, if you are looking for a new home, look no further, Cirrus is the end point. Still a FIVE star review, Lucy is still the best concierge in the city, maintenance is crushing it, my new apartment was perfect. So many things wrong with these apartments. On the positive side, they are located in a decent area near the Denny Triangle, South Lake Union, and Belltown, and some of them have a nice view of the water (if you are up high enough). But that's about it. -Floor to ceiling windows sound great, but insulation is terrible, resulting in high heating and cooling bills. Also, impossible to clean, especially if you are in a corner unit. Have been here for a while, and there has been no outside washing of the windows, so stuff spilled from above, or spots missed by the previous cleaning are there to stay to mar your view. -The floor plans are all different, but there is basically a flaw of one type or another with each one. Strange proportions - either a small bedroom, or small living space, or awkwardly situated cement columns or bizzare balconies with not much space on them, not enough closet space or strangely located smaller closets. Some units have one tiny window that barely opens (like maybe 8 inches wide with a six inch give when you unlatch them. Positively scary. - The units with separate bathtubs/shower stalls are nice, but, bathrooms and drains are moldy (old building) and impossible to keep mold-free; even an air purifier on max doesn't help. No linen cabinet, not enough space for shelves unless you attach them to wall above toilet. -Kitchens are badly designed, with not enough or logically-placed cabinets for storage; some have huge islands at a strange angle, the purpose of which is questionable. Applicances are generally old and poorly functioning. Small stoves, prehistoric garbage disposals (old leaks and cabinet damage which they refused to fix), tiny sinks. Even the "new" washers and dryers don't function well. -Flooring is laughable. They list as "luxury vinyl"! It's basically cheap, dents easily; the darket finish shows every piece of lint. -Concierge is a nice touch, but half the time no one is there or they ignore everyone completely who is going in and out of the building. Package handling is inconsistent. Parking garage is like the catacombes, extensive, and not easy to negotiate. -Two annoyances that mean no lease renewal for me: loud, noisy neighbors playing music all day and night long, and building's reluctance to address regardless of repeated requests, and continuous maintenance to the building, such as many days with water shut off, garage doors not working, repeated visits to inspect and "measure" various parts of the apartment. No way to get rid of items you no longer need, and threatening signs everywhere about how you will be fined for this or that, including not taking cardboard to the scariest location in the basement of the building that smells deplorable. read more

It's been 2 weeks since we moved into Cirrus! The move-in went really smoothly and we ADORE living in this community! Prior to move-in: It's incredibly easy to check different floor plans on the website, helpful orientation videos on YouTube, and to schedule a tour. Cirrus team has been super helpful and supportive!! They always pick up the phone call immediately and answer any questions we may have. I feel really welcome and comfortable talking to them. Thank you Chris, Samantha, and Romana! Day of Move-in: Cirrus team has been really accommodating! We actually already had the movers ready before 12pm, which is the official check-in time. I thought we would have to wait for a couple of hours, but after calling them, they let us in earlier and helped us with the loading dock too! We were given a welcoming gift bag with wine, chocolates, coupons, bath products, and etc After the Move-in: We love living here! It's so nice to have a wide open patio and look at the sunrise and the city every day. There's an amazing view at the rooftop with great amenities! There are also many hand sanitizers in common areas and we've never had experience with or seen more than 2 people in the lifts. The maintenance staff is really responsive and we got our issues fixed immediately! For dog owners: There are so many cute doggies in this building and this neighborhood! Our little two toy poodles has gone sniffing non-stop in the lifts, dog park downstairs, and outside. They were also able to meet more four-legged friends read more

The time I spent at Cirrus was honestly wonderful, the apartments are amazing and so is the building. The apartments are built very well, I never heard my neighbors or the people above me! I spent just over a year at Cirrus and was sad to leave such a perfect apartment. (I moved due to job relocation) the building has great amenities but fall a little short to competitors in the area when it comes to pets. The pet area is a small section in the parking garage, their sister property has an outdoor turfed rooftop run. The property manager was extremely helpful with the move process and I appreciate it so much. The move out process is the best move out experience I've ever had. I didn't have to worry about patching holes, painting, paying the last utility bill. Everything was taken care of once I removed my stuff. I would also like to give recognition to Lucy. She is an absolute rock star and goes above and beyond for every resident in that building. Never has she not helped me and if she didn't know she got the information and followed up with me! Employees like her are what make a residents experience not only good but great! The only thing I did not like was the amount my rent increased at the time of renewal. My rent increased by 7.5% which was the most a renewal rate had ever jumped in any of the places I've lived. They also changed the way residents paid for utilities suddenly and my bill almost doubled due to paying for the building and not just your unit usage. But these are things you deal with as a renter and I understand that. read more

Windsor Cirrus - Great views from corner 1 bedroom units! - Apartments Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I'm on the hunt for a new home, i walked in yesterday around 1ish to see if maybe I could have done a walk in tour or schedule a tour. I walked in to the front desk and inquired about being able to talk to a leasing agent. The front desk lady first didn't greet me, and then after letting me know that there's no leasing agent that's free at the moment I inquired about scheduling an appointment and she said to do it online on their website in the less respectful way. Because of unwelcoming the receptionist was, I decided to not even consider Cirrus as an option. I honestly was very disappointed because I'm looking for a home and no one wants to go home having to walk by the reception to not so pleasant receptionist. read more

The front desk staff is horrible. I was visiting Seattle for a weekend and wanted to check out the place. The lady at the front desk was so mean, as if she's doing me a favor by talking to me. I ended up not even looking at the available apartments. I don't want to live where the staff is mean. Yes, they may be busy, but if someone is in the town only for a certain period, is motivated to rent in 24 hours, you don't tell them to go away and go online and not accommodate their request in any way. That type of poor customer service gets you one stars, and I see a lot of 1 stars on Google reviews and yelp. I am wondering if the building managers are doing anything about it - or they also don't care? read more

As apartments go, Cirrus is one of the best I've lived in. Construction was done well enough that I never hear neighbors walking around upstairs or below. Yes, there is street noise, but we live downtown and that is to be expected. The gym is well appointed, rooftop deck is beautiful, cleaning staff are always on their game, and most of the concierge staff are delightful. The apartment has enough storage for me, the finishes are nice, and I haven't had any maintenance issues in the 9 months I've been here. I enjoy the fact that the water from all sinks gets hot almost immediately. I've lived in some places where it takes 10 minutes or more to finally get hot water. The only downsides I can see are that they are very expensive and there is a lot of construction going on that will soon block some of the great views, so hopefully they recognize that in their prices going forward. Also, there is no good way to break a lease if you have to. I need to relocate for work and it will cost me $12-15k to leave 3 months early. Overall, this is a nice place to live with easy walks to food, grocery, shopping, and nightlife. If I were staying in Seattle, I would def stay at Cirrus. read more

Windsor Cirrus - View from the 38th floor - Apartments Near Me - Seattle, Washington

So far, so good in this beautiful building! I have lived in other apartment complexes in the SLU area (Via6 and The Century while Cirrus was under construction) and couldn't wait to move into this one the moment I saw construction from my living room! The Application and Moving In Process Juli was very helpful meeting with us several times and responding to nearly 15 emails. We even changed floorplans three times just to get the right cost, move-in date, and a parking spot (be sure to ask if your unit will be eligible for a parking spot!) The loading dock and area for the freight elevator made moving in a breeze. At move-in, we received a welcome folder filled with freebies from nearby vendors (Wholefoods, Mistral Kitchen, coffee shops, etc.) The Building & Units All floors are not fully constructed . At the time of writing, I believe only Floors 10-18 have tenants and they will be releasing units floor-by-floor, week-by-week. The more affordable ($/sq. ft) units are on 6-9 and will not be available until October or later. We really wanted the 8th floor A21 corner unit but it wasn't ready for move in. We have seen practically every 1-bedroom floorplan and believe everyone can find one that fits their needs. Beware of the wooden floors, they are easily scratched! Even the tape from a moving box made this really long gash. Not pretty on a chocolate brown floor. Going to need an area rug for that! PROS: *Amenities--best rooftop amenities I've seen! It's like a skylounge club. I especially enjoy the game room. I confess I haven't used the gym yet but with a view like that... *Only 6-8 units per floor so its easy to get to know your neighbor! *Call Elevator--dialing in your floor # for max efficiency. No more stopping on every floor! *Right on the trolley route which is perfect for my 10 minute commute CONS: *Parking Garage--$225/stall and because of the small building base, you end up looping around several floors just to get to your spot. There are only 0.6 stalls per unit so you're supposed to feel "lucky" you got one. *Still under construction so retail on first floor hasn't been established yet. Pros: Great location, nice amenities, 24/7 concierge, convenient package lockers, friendly staff (Josh and Lorina are spectacular), high standard of cleanliness, good move-in special, frequent community events. Cons: The pet amenities are really poor: the pet "run" is just a small section of the parking lot underground which really stinks (as opposed to a nice turf area with open air like their neighbor stratus), the pet bathing area is unusable because the water pressure and water temperature constantly shift to dangerous levels, and pets are not allowed in common areas which is a bummer because it'd be a great way to build strong ties with other building pet owners. Additionally the units have REALLY thin walls (we've had some noise issues with neighbors that we've never had to deal with previously), and from the elevator bay you can hear what's happening in all the units around. read more

You will completely sacrifice Seattle culture in exchange for seclusion. There's nowhere to walk, and it's way too quiet on the weekends. You can hear a pencil drop next door because the sound carries in the dead air. The building is 9/10 but the atmosphere is complete shit, and the leasing office is useless, especially for such an elite area read more

What can I say, I'm in love with this building - for the first time in my life, I'm renting from grown ups! Yes, that was made to make you laugh. In all honesty, Cirrus is run by courteous, professional staff that know how to run buildings. Kecia was my leasing agent and took care of me the whole way through. I moved from Los Angeles about a month ago and the only part that wasn't complicated was getting my unit here. All my forms, payments and documents were handled online, before I moved in. Windsor actually gets technology and forgoing the use of paper! Approval took 10 minutes and I flew back to LA with my apartment in order. My advice is to look at every single floor plan in your price range as you'll not find a completely similar view or type floor to floor. I ended up with the smallest unit possible but the amount of outdoor space was amazing, as were my unobstructed east facing views that gave me lots of natural light. In terms of amenities, I actually use the upstairs space to work time-to-time, the gym is never crowded and my yoga teacher and I have used the small room for two sessions already. Pro Tip: If it's a sports weekend, you'll find the Amazonian workers camped out coding and watching football in the media center. If you enter, there will be a look of bewilderment on their faces because a) they don't know why you're there and b) they don't really know how to talk...it's a thing. Cons, yes - there's no parking and two days of Zirx was annoying. So I simply sold my car and got a Zipcar membership and use Uber if I can't find a bus or train. I save money and I'm good. You know you want to live where all the non-crazy cool kids live, so why haven't you moved in? read more

Shocked. They billed us an extremely high maintainence and cleaning fee about over 1000. The most ridiculous thing is they charge us living room blind for 160 dollars which we feel no privacy so we never use it. And also we spent 2days for cleaning. And we used rent several apt near downtown eg marq211, via6, no apt like this one. read more

I just moved out of Cirrus and while I enjoyed the location and the apartment the way we were treated when moving out was less than positive. Don't expect any of your deposit back, Cirrus will find ways to charge you for anything and everything they can to squeeze you for more on your way out. read more

An update to the update: no doubt my review touched a nerve. The immediate response from management was to bribe tenants to "like" on social for a $50 gift cards. An updated review: It is a shame that residential units continue to gouge renters while offering no increase in value in return. If you ask about the price increase - especially when Seattle has trended down - and when things have gone downhill at the property, all you will get in response is a smug look and a shrug followed with "we have to keep up with the market". This oft used phrase is code for "we will continue to raise prices, arbitrarily fluctuate prices daily, even hourly, based on what we had for lunch, or how the call went with my momma; because we don't like you [insert Giant Company X & Y Employee here] and we think you can afford it". Okay...but, wouldn't it make more sense to maintain your property and keep your residents happy? Less hassle to have 20 move ins/outs a day - although it does keep all of the off book housekeepers and maintence staff busy. Volume over value, even basic decency is the Windsor way I guess. A few things to watch out for; The noise is incredible, even high up. The garage is not secure. The dog run the the garage is chemical covered and smells. The outdoor landscaping is a health hazard due to dropped needles, standing water, gallons of dog urine and dog poo that's not picked up. The concierge staff (most) is rude, is never at the desk, and can never find your packages. You will have to go elsewhere to eat, everything is closed early evening and on weekends. Windsor is too cheap to host social events, unlike a few other places, equally priced. Instead, they have sporadic "sponsored" happy hours, and while this might be a nice addition, they aren't well planned and are last minute and tacky. Housekeeping is hit/miss. I noticed some of the floors smell nice, others not. Elevators constantly need maintenance. Housekeeping and maintenance -with their equipment- take the residents elevators instead of the freight elevator. The sound isolation is poor. The insulation is poor. The window treatments are poor. Do not expect to use your balcony if you have one. Too windy, too loud; constant sirens and construction. Do not expect to use the grills, they aren't available and if they are it's because the gas is out. read more

I had a window spontaneously shatter (!?) and ended up in a protracted week long feud with multiple levels of Windsor's management. I was repeatedly told that the damage was caused 'by an internal projectile', as they were unwilling to directly state that they believed I broke it. I took time off work to find lawyers and eventually tracked down a forensic chemist who pointed out several reasons why it was a faulty window before Cirrus/Windsor backed down. The only form of apology I received for the amazing exploding window, vague financial threats, corporate phone tag, and vacation days spent talking to expensive professionals was something along the lines of 'we appreciate your patience.' The leasing office here failed me on two other occasions: * Once I woke up to find construction workers in my apartment with no notice whatsoever. * I had to escalate to corporate in order to convey that having construction workers enter my apartment more than 3 times in a week to fix a cosmetic issue I did not care about was excessive. If they tell you that construction noise is temporary, sure it is - if you plan on living here for more than 5+ years. Otherwise, expect construction noise when you move in all the way to the day you move out - it certainly was on both ends of my year and a half at Cirrus. It wasn't even limited to daylight hours when I left - heavy roadwork was being done nearby every night for weeks. Even if the noise doesn't bother you, it can and will randomly tie up any of the nearby roads and make any sort of vehicular travel frustrating and painful. The trash chute is blocked up 30-50% of the time, and some of the residents will instead leave broken glass and leaking garbage bags in piles next to the trash chute door. Sometimes they'll even hang their trash bags on the handle, so you have to move trash out of the way if you want to properly dispose of yours. I do want to say that while the leasing office is terrible, the concierge staff is fantastic. I had a snafu or two with my movers during move out and although I didn't end up needing too much help from the concierge in the end, they were ready and eager to help us figure things out. Don't move here - the location might seem close to work, but it's definitely not worth it. read more

The building itself is expensive, but nice. Amenities on the top floor are great. The folks who work concierge are unceasingly accommodating and pleasant to deal with. BUT a word of warning to anyone looking to live here and work from home during the day or, god forbid, sleep past 7 AM. The noise is almost a constant Monday - Saturday and its absolutely earsplitting at times. We thought it was annoying when a sister condo was going up across the street -- now Amazon is just starting another tower on the other corner. The piledriving is thunderously loud and even when that's done this spring, look forward to months and months of more construction. Look, it's Seattle and SLU - there's a lot of construction everywhere, but if you need relative quiet during the day, I would advise you to look elsewhere. read more

The building may be fine, but the leasing office staff fail to meet any standard of professionalism or human decency. They will only care about you until you sign a lease with them; no more, no less. Case in point, I was trying to enjoy the roof deck, and I was the only person there, when one of the staff comes over and reaches over my head to turn on really loud music without even asking me if it would be bothersome. As I asked him to turn it off, he brusquely snapped that "I can turn it off myself but I have to turn it back on when I leave." He then proceeded to turn on several fireplaces on the completely empty roof deck, spending tons of energy and fossil fuels just in case there's a potential renter coming to check it out later today. So far it's been 4 hours and no renters have come along. And just to be clear, the concierge staff that are subcontracted are really nice--so the people you see at the front desk are not representative of the leasing staff, except for the one leasing staff lady that mans the desk on weekends, without any enthusiasm or friendliness towards the residents. read more

The building is beautiful but you will be paying about $1000/month for the roof top amenities so if like me you don't use them, it is a waste of money. The management is nice but the residents are very uptights and not friendly at all. I will for sure be moving as soon as my lease is up to go to a more friendly and relax community. I've had a pretty average experience living here. Additionally, they have an amazing rooftop with great views and rentable spaces - but be careful with the reservation process. I've lived here for less than a month, reserved through their reservation system the amenities three times and had them cancelled TWICE because of a "double booking issue", one of which was cancelled day of. Inexcusable. There's plenty of potential here, but for the rates you should be looking elsewhere. ***UPDATE*** The management group jumped through a million hoops to fix everything. I just moved out of Cirrus and will definitely miss it. The experience was really great and the apartments and amenities are fantastic. 41st floor gym and outdoor lounge, beautiful building, quiet and upscale units, beautiful views, etc. Let me say a few words about the staff and living here. But read till the end, it is not all perfect. First and foremost there is a woman named Samantha (Sam) who runs the front desk/Concierge. She is amazing and really is the heartbeat of the building. Cirrus is so lucky to have her and if she were to leave, the entire experience at Cirrus would decline. She just knows how to take care of everything, she clearly loves her job and I will miss seeing her smiling face. What is interesting to me about the staff here is that the culture seems to be set from the middle to bottom up, vs. what one might expect, which would be top-down from senior management. The daily concierge folks are good -to-okay and if you get a bad one, they are out pretty quick. Sam is amazing as mentioned. The maintenance folks are fantastic and truly care. I have no idea where they got Vince in maintenance but he is outstanding. The asst. managers are very good, very sharp and Lauren in particular is very sweet. Kecia left but she was outstanding as well. But nothing is ever perfect, and the GM is not so great. Severely lacking in people skills and I found him inflexible and difficult in most situations/communications. Anyway, move here! It is a wonderful building full of outstanding staff. read more

Lived here for quite a while so experienced both the good and bad. Trying to give an objective review because a lot of my friends and coworkers have asked about this place. Pros: -location. Can beat the location. -views. Can't beat the views. This is the first thing people notice when they come over. -gym. If you work out a lot you will really enjoy the well-equipped gym. -community activities. The building holds wine and beer as well as yoga classes. However the yoga classes usually fill up fast so I don't go regularly. -apartment finishes and appliances. These are quite nice and modern. Unfortunately that is where the outstanding ends and the utterly mediocre begins. Cons: -price. Let me preface by saying that the rent is extraordinary and not very competitive for the area. So for the money, you should be expecting a lot. -the floors and walls are very thin and noise floats up. There are constant parties and noise coming from balconies as well. Due to noise pollution, apartment parties and loud music often get shut down. I guess that's fine if you live on the first floor but uh... -while most of the concierge are friendly, there is one lady who works on saturdays who literally is the most snobby and unfriendly person I've ever met. She makes me feel like I did something wrong before I even set foot in the building. -rules, rules, rules. Seriously. There are a lot of rules here. You can only have 5 guests up on the roof deck, which pretty much kills a social life. Rules about trash and recycling. Rules about noise. Rules about keeping spare keys with the concierge (you can't, because they can't hold keys for "hundreds of residents.") Rules about keeping Amazon fresh bags in the hallway. Etc. -month to month rent. A friend who had to pay month to month while looking for a new place was completely extorted. The rent is double what you'd usually pay. -other nickel and diming. As mentioned above, if you want to use any of the common areas for parties greater than 5 people, expect to pay hundreds of dollars. -frequent maintenance. They are always notices for you people entering your apartment to check the vents and such. If you have a pet, or valuables, it can become a hassle to try to accommodate. In summary, for the price, this place is not really worth it. The building comes off as glamorous but that will get old quickly when you look at the dent in your bank account each month and deal with all the rules. If you are looking for a good value for your after-tax dollars, then look elsewhere. read more

I toured this apartment a few times and almost rented here but in my desire to live in this gorgeous building, I was trying to force a fit in a space that might not work for me. That said, if anything changes, I will certainly consider this building in the future. The amenities, like the apartments, are of the highest quality. The 41st floor gym, outdoor space, and indoor amenities are beautiful with breathtaking views. The large kitchens are absolutely stunning as are the bathrooms with both a soaking tub and separate shower. This is a luxury building by most standards. A few things I would have liked to see (within the realm of reason) are the true full-size front-facing stack-able washer and dryers, the wood custom closets, and the parcel pending system for package receiving, but honestly that's just me adding to my wish-list because this place is spectacular. Now I'd like to take a moment to address my experience with the leasing staff and the security/concierge (which is there 24 hours). I can't speak highly enough about my experience. Everyone was so pleasant and wonderful. They worked with me and answered all of my questions, allowing me to tour multiple times. Chris is a professional in every sense of the word and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He is honest/candid and will help you find the best home for you, full stop. I've seen some people complain about the rent prices stating that they're higher than others. I've looked at maybe 20 places in the category some up and some down... Cirrus is on the higher end but is relatively comparable for other apartments in the luxury category. I've also heard people complain about grocery stores and such... yes there's only a whole foods within close walking distance, but that doesn't seem strange to me. There are many grocery stores near enough that a quick drive or Lyft would get you there. The "dead" area... okay maybe compared to Capitol Hill or certain parts of Belltown, but there are things really close by and you're not more than a few blocks away from everything. It's the perfect location for access to Amazon, downtown, Belltown, and Capitol Hill. Nothing in Seattle is that far away, and I've just come from 11 years in Chicago so I can speak pretty objectively about city life. If the space works for you, rent here. You won't regret it. They are super Nice,then you get hit with hidden fees and restrictions and pet friendly no way, month in they start pull out these rules and fees. They take your money and then its a different experience. Do not waste your money. Very poor management. Not just one experience but another family is in search of a new location, after just moving in?!!! The amount of time money spent definitely wasted DO NOT waste your money. They try to offer a luxury feel and look but management should be running Mcdonalds....maybe.Sad that once they take their money you do not matter. read more

My lease is coming to a close and I'll be moving out. The building is beautiful, and the apartment has been wonderful for me. The only issues I've had have been with the construction noises and new buildings blocking the view. Wonderfully maintained, and many of concierges are great (though there's unfortunately been some turnover in which the best ones have left). read more

I've lived in Cirrus since the building opened, and I absolutely love it. The apartments are significantly larger than the other options I was able to find in the area in a comparable price range, well built, and get beautiful light. In addition, both management and the concierge take fantastic care of us - particularly Sam, who goes above and beyond not only to help with any and all requests, but also goes out of her way to stay informed about fun and exciting things going on in Seattle, and puts together summaries for the elevators so that residents can take advantage of them! read more

I lived there for a year. Great place, great location. Extremely well managed and the concierge service is exceptional. Idk what some are talking about because I had lots of great times in the game room upstairs with plenty of 20-somethings many of whom work at AMZN. Only two complaints: the construction in SLU (they can't control that) and parking spaces are a limited resource (poor planning?). Selling pts: Superb amenities on the top floor, incredible views of Lake Union/Space Needle and a very convenient location. read more

This building is fantastic! I have loved my time here so far. Top notch amenities and views. It is by far the best building that I have ever lived in.
