Despite doing no real repair, they charged him as if they had. This treatment of an elderly customer is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of integrity and consideration. We ask this company to add material at the bottom and the sides of the garage door to discourage rodents from slipping underneath. Windsor Doors installed 4 garage doors for me several years ago in Mountainair, NM area. I have been their loyal customer for all these years. I have a garage door operator that needs replacement. I scheduled a date for replacement but I had to a vehicle in the garage that would not start. So I had to cancel until I could get the vehicle started and get it out of the garage. We had agreed on a price with a trip charge I was happy to pay. When I tried to reschedule I got a lot of nonsensical remarks but no willingness to reschedule. I asked to speak to Andy but to date he has not responded. So much for customer service from the family owned business since 1970 they proudly brag about on their website. read more

Tyler was very polite and professional. He was here at 2:04 pm Got to work immediately. Completed work in less than an hour. Removed old torsion springs and installed NEW torsion springs. Lubricated rollers, hinges and springs. Lubricated screwdrive rail and adjusted force. Garage door opens and closes so quietly and smoothly. Yay! Recommended 2 Garage door Openers when I felt it was time to change/replace my garage door opener. I've used BDC Door ABQ, reliably for many years. However, this time was different, unfortunately. They installed a Liftmaster last October (2021). The remote sensors stopped working. BDC said they don't offer a warranty! Last Friday morning the tech thought he had fixed it, but had to come back later that afternoon. He couldn't fix it, so gave me my check back. He said they would call me Monday for prices on new operators. The tech (a nice guy) did help me by installing a lock, which gave me some relief that the garage door was secure at night. But I was stuck lifting the garage door all weekend to come and go. Monday morning I called the company - a lady said she would call me back with prices. They never called me back. I called another company (Windsor Door), who quickly figured out that the problem was the travel gauge - A $30 part. He also noticed my cables were frayed, and he replaced them. So instead of being out another $400, my bill was less than half that. But my nerves were frayed by the lack of completion and indifference by BDC. I know people are busy these days and it's the middle of a long, hot summer. I plan to use Windsor Door (hopefully not soon) for garage door service :-) read more

Windsor Doors came to our rescue on a Saturday afternoon when we discovered a broken spring on our garage door. I called a few companies before Windsor, and had an appointment scheduled for Monday with Sears at a much higher estimate. When I called Windsor they were available within two hours and quoted me the lowest of three estimates from companies to replace the spring and inspect the door. It did not take much to convince me that these guys were the right choice, as we always prefer the local, family-owned company to the corporation. Sears tried to pressure me into keeping my appointment with them when I called back to cancel, however I did not fall for their antics. The Windsor guys were friendly, professional, and thorough. They did not stop at just replacing the one spring, but lubed and serviced all three of my single garage doors for the quoted price. I am very satisfied. read more

Windsor Door Sales just installed a new garage door opener to replace one that seized up (including smoking) late Sunday afternoon. Not only were they very prompt in responding first thing today (Monday), but had a service guy at our house very quickly. In less than an hour, we now have a much better opener than the one the home builder installed, at a fair & reasonable price, and the tech (Omar) even helped us with programming the openers in both vehicles, trained us on the operation and features of the new opener, and left the place cleaner than when he got there. The sales person I spoke with on the phone was quite congenial and clearly explained the different garage door openers I could have installed. The ones I ended up picking allow for a device that allows me to connect the opener to an iPhone app should I choose to do so at some later date (sounds like something that could come in handy). The installer did an excellent job installing the openers. He had a bit of a challenge where the genius builder had installed a light fixture right where the opener motor was supposed to go, but he worked around it like a champ. Before he left, he programmed the remote keypad for us. He also showed us the operation of the buttons on the remotes and wall buttons (this is an upgrade from our previous house, so knowing where to find what buttons on the wall panel was nice). I paid more for this than I would've for, say, a Genie at Home Depot, but the quality, quiet operation, and upgraded options demand an additional premium that I felt was fair and was willing to pay. read more

Beware of up selling and not telling the truth. Repairman came out to look at my Craftsman garage door opener, because remote was not working. He diagnosed a malfunctioning logic board and said that they didn't make that logic board anymore, and tried to sell me a $415 system. I said I'd think about it, and, after he left, found the replacement logic board at Sears Parts in two minutes. I don't like misinformation or up selling, and I fear other customers who weren't as diligent as me were falsely advised to replace their whole system when just a part could be replaced for a quarter of the cost. Don't call this company in the first place, but, if you do, tell them you'll think about and get a second opinion from a reputable garage repair company. read more

Had one of my torsion springs break on my double garage. Was going to fix myself but cost savings of doing myself did not make sense. I'm really glad I called a professional because after they finished the repair the tech notice I had a crack in one of my panels which was causing stress when opening and closing the door. They gave me a quote on a new door which was reasonable but I was able to repair the door using an aluminum 1/2 aluminum angle iron. Cost of replacing both torsion springs was $190. read more

Our garage door spring snapped. Right as we were arriving back from the airport with out of town guests. I made several calls the next morning. This is the one company that could do the job that day and would quote me an exact price. I really appreciated that. Dennis came out and was very professional. He not only replaced the springs, he lubricated everything, tightened chain, and did an overall sprucing up of the garage door assemblies. He gave some really good advice to keep the chain lubricated and what not. Also I live in far north Rio Rancho (Bernalillo really) and that was not a problem. I filled out the online form one evening, and they called back early the next morning offering an appointment that day. Gave a 2 hour window and arrived right at the beginning of it. The price was very fair and the serviceman professional. Not only replaced the spring and balanced the door, but also lubricated all of the wheels, hinges, and tracks and inspected the opener for wear.
