If I can spare one person from dealing with this horrible company than I achieved something. They were supposed to replace this gate to its original condition after someone backed into it. Instead of pouring a solid foundation, they put these poles which are now cracking after two years and the concrete that was on top completely crumbled. They do not stand behind their work. There are far better companies that do the right installation of these mechanical gates. Do not trust them to do the right thing if there are any issues. In addition, they put the gate opener, uneven. The poles aren't level at all. You can make your own decision. Just look at the negligible work. I had a repairman come by today to evaluate my garage door. It was shaking and rattling a lot while in operation. And one of the cross beams came lose from all the vibration. The door is around 40 years old so I figured it had reached it's end and I was looking at a $2K+ bill for a new one. The repairman took a quick look, then said there's a few missing bolts and the guide wheels are bent and shot. He had all the necessary parts with him and hour later he replaced all the damaged parts and added a couple bolts for additional support. Then he realigned a bent cross beam and re-bolted it. Previous to the repair, opening and closing the door sounded like an earthquake. After the repair, the door runs smooth as silk. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the cost: less than $200!!!!! read more

After three visits that accomplished nothing, we got an outrageous quote from a garage door company to fix our driveway gates in Santa Fe. We refused to consider it, and called ABC. They came out in two days, took one look at the problem and fixed it in an hour for a tenth of what the other company wanted to charge. These guys are a giant rip off. They routinely sell customers things they don't need. The work they do is shoddy, at best, and they overcharge for it. They violate OSHA guidelines almost daily and treat their employees like garbage. They make a lot of sales because they offer a warranty on parts and labor and quote jobs well below the actual cost... however after they send someone back for warranty work for the 3rd or 4th time for the same issue many customers just hire a better company to come do the job right the first time. The receptionists are rude and don't call you back when they say they will. The service techs at this company work hard and do the best with what they are given. That being said, they are given nothing and it is very hard to properly complete a job without the appropriate amount of time and equipment available. The sales team at this company routinely quotes jobs on the premises of lies. They will tell you they can do a job for $2000 and be done in 2 days. In reality, they knew the whole time that job would cost $4000 in labor and take 5 days to complete. This forces the techs to cut corners, take risks, and do shoddy work. read more

We chose ABC Door to install two garage door openers for us. From start to finish they were very professional. One side of our garage has ductwork going across the middle of it, which effectively shortens the distance that the track can go. They helped us choose a motor that would fit, and cut the track to fit our odd space. The door when fully opened is about 2 inches lower than the other one but it works. Their prices were also much more reasonable than the other installers we called. Their post-installation service has also been great. The door on one side has had a few problems with sticking, having the pulling tension set too low, etc. and we've had to call them out twice to adjust things. Both times the serviceman (not being sexist here, they both were male) fixed the problem promptly and quickly. They didn't even charge us because the fixes were relatively minor and categorized by them as being due to the natural settling-in of the system, and as such were under their installation service warranty. We even got two nylon rollers to replace two worn-out metal rollers, installed for free. I like how they give a 2- to 3-hour time window for service, instead of the "sometime today" routine that forces you to hang around the house all day. Great service, competitive prices, and convenience. What more can you ask? read more

Responded to an ad in local magazine, it was for a tune up at the cost of 130.00....lubricated the hinges and replaced rollers, a week later it was the same as original, the tech stated I needed a new door at 2500.00, called the office and voiced my concern, went on deaf ears, never got a call back...low score is more for poor customer care. read more

The office personnel I spoke with was top notch and knowledgeable. She told me everything I needed to know and we worked out everything so the guys on the truck came out fully prepared. When the guys showed up (I was having the bottom seal on my garage door replaced) they were professional and set to getting my door fixed right the first time. ABC doors fixed my specialty garage doors. The old controllers and motors were made by Gliderol and after 15 years had failed. Gliderol has closed but Janus (in Arizona) has replacement parts. ABC/ Janus with my help figured out which replacements to use. ABC came (a little late) and the doors work super well now.
