He went above and beyond by running a camera through the pipes and showing us exactly what caused the clog. Everything was fixed efficiently, and he offered helpful recommendations for future maintenance. The quality of work and transparency made this an excellent value, and we felt confident we were getting honest, expert service. Highly recommend Gabe and Schrader Plumbing.

I'd be very cautious before using Schrader Plumbing. I had a horrible experience with them. 2…read moremonths ago I experienced a stoppage in my toilets. Based on the exceptional reviews, I called Schrader to come out and fix the problem. They sent technician Michael Badgley. I was initially given two quotes, one for roughly $800 and the other for $4,000. After a quick inspection of my home, Michael determined that he would have to dig a hole in the back yard at a cost of $5,700. While I didn't really understand how the quotes kept changing, I agreed to the scope of work as I'm not a plumbing expert and needed to get the stoppage resolved quickly. Bewildered, I later sent the receipt to my neighbor, who informed me that my house was pier and beam, not slab as it indicated on the quote. I recalled Michael asking me where the crawl space was and I wasn't able to identify it (my fault as an uniformed homeowner) although I showed him the area I thought it was in inside the master bedroom. He passed right over it without a second look. Later, after speaking with my neighbor, I was able to go over and find the crawl space myself easily. Michael fixed the pipe under the toilet in the main bathroom and then proceeded to tell me that I would need to replace all of the pipes at my house at a cost of $30k. He couldn't even assure me that the problem I had just handed over $5,700 for was fixed. The icing on the cake was the $100 bill that I had tucked into my lunch tote on the kitchen table in view of the technician, and when I returned later it was missing. That was certainly my own fault for leaving it unsecured. I was concerned about the entire process and wrote to the owner, John Schrader. I waited several days with no response to my email or phone calls, which spoke volumes to me as a customer. After my third attempt to contact him, I was finally passed off to a service advisor. I explained my concerns to him, that the crawl space was never properly identified and that I wasn't sure that the repair that was done was necessary. He offered me a refund of $750 "to remove my bad review" which I hadn't yet written. Less than 2 months later I experienced the same stoppage. I called Schrader again and was told that the pipes needed to be replaced. I finally called another plumber who identified the source of the stoppage, this time to be at the front of the house instead of the rear. They fixed the problem for only a fraction of what I paid to Schrader. He explained that the first repairs were unnecessary. If you like being robbed, by all means give Schrader Plumbing a call. I absolutely feel violated and taken advantage of as a single female homeowner. If you want to save your hard earned money and get the job done right, get a second opinion.

Leak…read moreGeeks were the first to respond to my Yelp project inquiry, but I took calls from others afterwards. The coordinator had their plumber Spencer call me to see if I had any questions after our initial call. I initially brought in another company for an estimate but called Spencer back for a fact check to verify the first company's pricing. Spencer was able to respond immediately with what Leak Geek's pricing would be for the same pricing and said they could get out there within about an hour. I ended up hiring Leak Geeks, and Spencer got here within about 30 minutes of being dispatched. He did a great job identifying where the leak was coming from. It was a worse case than I had hoped for, but he found it. He cut and capped the line so I could still use the rest of the water in the house while the drywall was being remediated and the eventual repairs could be made. He referred a remediation company, American Water Damage, who had an estimator come out, again within about an hour, provide an estimate, and get a remediation tech to come out to move a basin, cut open the upstairs wall, and place fans and a dehumidifier. I'm impressed and relieved that they could get all of this done in the same day. Spencer was friendly and professional throughout. I couldn't have asked for more (except for the leak to not have happened in the first place).2

I preserved your voice,…read moregratitude, and heartfelt meaning while making it clearer, easier to read, and more professional. If you'd like it shorter, formatted as a Google review, or written in a different tone, I can revise it. Revised Version I would recommend Sunny Services to anyone looking for a company that truly strives to provide every customer with quality service, attention to detail, and professionalism. They take their time, they are thorough, and they make sure no question goes unanswered. I want to give a huge shout-out to everyone I spoke with--from the outstanding customer service representatives to the upper management team. They took the time to understand my situation as a disabled veteran who was exposed to Sarin nerve gas during the Iraq War. Because of that exposure, I now deal with cognitive and speech impairments, PTSD, and other challenges that affect me every minute of the day. I currently need a caregiver for eight hours each day to help me manage daily activities. Because of my cognitive challenges, I know I can be difficult at times. If I can't express what's on my mind right away, I lose my train of thought and become frustrated. This is something I struggle with daily. I want to sincerely apologize to the customer service representatives--who are the first point of contact and such an important part of the company--if I came across as unprofessional at any time. It was never intentional. Having worked in the insurance industry for most of my career, I understand how critical that first impression is. I always trained my own employees to greet patients with a smile, offer water or coffee, and make them feel welcome. Sunny Services does exactly that in their own way. Their team makes you feel cared for from the very first moment, always asking, "What can I do to make your day better?"--and they mean it. I have also been extremely impressed with their HVAC service work. I first used them when they offered a Home Depot promotion over the summer. I expected a quick job, but instead they took their time, performed a thorough diagnostic, and explained everything clearly. My father--who lives two hours away--happened to be visiting that day. He was amazed by their professionalism and the level of detail they provided. He had almost no questions because Sunny Services had already explained everything so well. I want to thank the entire Sunny Services team for their patience, professionalism, and kindness. I know I can be hard to work with at times due to my disabilities, and I truly appreciate how understanding you all were. Every day is a challenge for me, and I often feel frustrated that I'm not the same man I once was after serving my country--but your compassion meant more to me than you may realize. So thank you--each and every one of you. You made my day better even when I fear I may have made yours harder. Sunny Services deserves five stars for quality, professionalism, attention to detail, and outstanding customer care. From the customer service team to the technicians to the management team--you are the backbone of the company, and you are the reason I will continue to recommend Sunny Services to anyone in the DFW area. They offer the best prices around the DFW area you can never be anywhere you go anywhere that I've called in the past, but they beat depressed hands down in the quality of care and all the above that I have explained you will not go wrong with Sunny services so I highly recommend Sunny services over numerous companies. I've used throughout the years. You just can't go wrong. Thank you again for everything. -- A grateful veteran

The Facts: Unpermitted Work: I confirmed with the City of McKinney that C&E applied for a plumbing permit for our structural tunneling/repair on 11/04/2025 but cancelled the permit on 11/18/2025 to bypass the required city inspection. Negligent Workmanship: An independent 3rd-party plumber inspected the line and found a broken flange and wax ring debris inside the pipe--direct evidence of a failed toilet reset. The workmanship was described as "obscene." Warranty Refusal: Despite being under warranty, the company proposed a major slab repair (jackhammering) but explicitly refused to provide a warranty for the "new" work. A formal complaint has been filed with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners (TSBPE) for a full investigation into their licensing and professional conduct. Please be cautious before hiring this company for major plumbing or tunneling work.
