So disappointing. We used to go here for gatherings with friends and family. We had a date night tonight and went in. We got our first drink from Rick (I believe the owner) and got menus. We then waited to order and waited and waited. No lie we waited 45 minutes and finally a young lady came and asked if we needed anything. Yes my check! I called to order food here,even though the last time I ordered they got my order wrong. It was far worse this time. The woman who took my order got it all wrong, which I found out when I arrived home. She was VERY unfriendly, even though I left a five dollar tip. How did I not know about this place??? I feel so out of the loop! If you're looking for great food (especially burgers) for a cheap price, this is the place! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The bar is very large so you'll definitely find a seat. The drinks are made properly and they never let you sit needing a refill. This is a typical dive bar with nothing special to look at inside whether it be decor or patrons. However the service was very good. The bartenders very friendly and the food was very good!!! This is a dive bar with dive-bar patrons, but they are known for their big burgers. My favorite is the Big Bill. Bonus: Sunday liquor license and good drinks. I bring my kids here, but I wouldn't say it has a family feel. Mostly men playing darts and people playing keno. read more

I was told that the kitchen was closed when I asked 5 minutes after midnight. A half hour later I saw the same bartender serving another customer food. I said to her, "I thought the kitchen was closed?" to which she responded, "Well it is now." and proceeded to walk away. Great service. read more

Pretty disgusted with the day service... Seems like they're not used to black or brown faces in the restaurant during the day... Been here three times in the past 5 days.... DO NOT go during the day when the brunettes are working. They don't want to come to the booths if you don't have the right look. The short heavy set chick, when I came in immediately asked me for ID (I'm 42), and when I showed her ID and went to go to sit in the booths like I have did the evening previous, she told me that I would have to go to the bar if I wanted service... But she apparently has NO problem waiting on the OTHER customers sitting in the booths. She personally went over to them multiple times, as a matter of fact. I asked the taller slender female behind the bar if I was allowed to sit at the booths and she looked puzzled and asked why and I informed her that the other chick told me I had to be served at the bar. The woman told me to go right ahead and have a seat at the booth and the girl would bring my beverage over ( I ordered a margarita) It was the tiniest margarita that I have Ever had at this establishment. Apparently the girl had absolutely NO intention of providing me the excellent care she gave the other customers (again, I attribute this to being the ONLY CUSTOMER of MELANIN in a bar of over 30 people), and I was made to feel as if my patronage was neither welcome nor appreciated. But I sallied forth, and proceeded to call the restaurant from my cellphone (since apparently she didn't even bother to ask me if I wanted to order anything) and place the order for the nachos that I wanted from the booth I was sitting in-- STILL trying to be congenial because I've learned in life being irritated and brown gets you labeled a n word So the chick who gave the air that she didn't feel like waiting on me, felt as if she wanted to chastise me for placing my order on the phone when she brought me my food to booth B5 ( keeping in mind I'm not oblivious to it being a bit busy for two people), however I didn't want to piss them off further by standing at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to put an order in since I was lightweight ignored the first time when I wanted to order my margarita, and I let her know politely that I seen they were busy and was just making it easier on the both of us. After eating my meal and waiting ONCE again to see if it was personal, a color issue, or just neglect that the shorter heavy set brunette refused to come to my booth to ask if I was ok or needed anything, I got up again to get another margarita. When both of the employees looked at me they made such the nastiest looks at each other, so I suppose my presence was irritating them somehow. Which is fine because I wasn't there for them If your employees don't like people of color, please post a sign that black/brown men/women aren't allowed in your establishment before 7pm. Now here's a difference: Sarah, a lady that works at NIGHT... Is AMAZING. She has excellent customer service skills, doesn't make ANYONE feel unwelcome or uncomfortable. I told her a couple of days ago when I came in that it was the first time I've been there in 20 years .. back in the days of Micheli's across the street and Jason Lieb at the KCs 3rd Base that used to be across the street. Her care and kindness have not gone unnoticed.. I even tipped her 25% It's a shame that your day shift employees couldn't be bothered. First off the food at this place is pretty sweet. Their burgers are huge and cheap. They have several different ones with crazy toppings. Also their fried foods are great. Sweet fried mushrooms and as far as I know you can't get hot rockets any where else. On the Windsor Pub's outside sign, it claims to have the best burger on this Earth. Or is it that the burger is world famous? I can't quite remember, because the burger really wasn't that memorable. When I saw the sign, I imagined Buddy the Elf going nuts about the world's best cup of coffee, to my Jovie's wondering what the fuss is about. Ok, so maybe that introduction was a bit harsh, but if you make big claims, you gotta back it up. I really thought the Windsor Pub was very ok. My girlfriend and I wanted to go somewhere close to home that we hadn't tried yet, so we drove around and randomly picked this place. ATMOSPHERE 3/5 Speaking of wanting to go to a restaurant close to home, it seems that everyone who eats at the Windsor Pub is close to home. What I mean is that it seemed to be full of locals (mostly men, middle aged and up), sitting around watching sports, munching on a burger, and having a beer. As someone else described it, it's kind of dive-y, which gives it a certain charm. There are a lot of TVs, all of which were showing a sporting event or Keno. The music in there is a bit loud if you're looking for a quiet meal and a lot of the booths are located right by the speakers. SERVICE 4/5 From what I could tell, two servers were working the Sunday afternoon that we ate there; one of whom was also bartending. The bartender waited on me and my girlfriend at our booth. She was very friendly and pretty attentive. No complaints here. FOOD 2/5 The menu is pretty standard bar fare, for the most part. Wings, poppers, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I ordered the Windsor burger with Windsor chips (like, disc shaped fries or something, not actually potato chips) and my girlfriend got the Windsor chicken sandwich with a cup of chili. The burger is HUGE. Three-fourths of a pound of beef in that bad boy. You definitely won't leave the Windsor Pub hungry, that's for sure. And I got a HUGE order of Windsor Chips. My girlfriend's chicken sandwich was pretty normal sized, but her cup of chili was quite large as well. As far as taste goes, I was somewhat disappointed. The Windsor burger (which has provolone and sauteed onions and mushroom) was pretty bland. Specifically, the meat didn't seem like it was seasoned (and if it was, it wasn't seasoned very well) and the burger was actually quite dry, which was very disappointing. The windsor chips were alright. Pretty sure I'd get fries or some other side if I were to eat there again. The Windsor chicken was very "meh," as well. The chili, however, was actually a bit better than I had anticipated. Oh, and you get a pickle with your meal, which is great. The pickles don't taste very good though, which is not great. There wasn't anything on my plate that disgusted me, but there wasn't anything on my plate that made me want to eat past being full or to ever make even the slightest effort to eat it again. All in all, I was a little disappointed in my meal. PRICE 3.5/5 What the Windsor lacks in taste, they almost make up for in price and portion. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the portions are quite large. In fact, if their food tasted good, I'd give them a 5/5 for price. My huge burger was six dollars and some change, and the windsor chips were just an additional $1.90. With my soda that I also got, I spent about $11 before the tip, which was quite reasonable given the sheer amount of food I got. Unfortunately, I cannot speak for the price of alcohol there (or even the alcohol selection), because I didn't order any. OVERALL 2.5/5 My experience at the Windsor Pub was just ok. The service was good, the food is cheap, and the portions are large. Also, it's got a nice, comfy local feel to it, which I like. However, the food was a bit disappointing and, when it comes to restaurants, I weigh the taste of their food more heavily than some other factors. I don't know that I'd go back to the Windsor Pub. If I do, it'd be to try different items on the menu, like wings or poppers, but I don't have any plans to return. Note: There is a Windsor burger challenge. If you can eat a three-patty Windsor burger (that's 2 1/4 lbs of ground beef between those buns) in less than 30 minutes, you get it for free. So, ya know, that's pretty sweet. read more

This is a working class joint full of regulars. It's not pretty and you're going to smell like a hamburger when you leave, but the food is amazing and the prices are too. Love the Windsor Jr. with wedges, but the fries are really good too. I have seen children there during the day, but I'm not bringing mine! We always have a good time at The Windsor. read more

As much as I love this bar... And MOST of the bartenders! Management seriously needs to take a closer look at a few things. I love that this is a family run, successful bar. But sadly it's going to go down hill and fast if they don't make a few changes. The night time manager, who drinks shots while working needs replaced. I've talked with many friends who frequent there and they say the same thing, he is arrogant and rude. His drinking is insane(he won't drink when the boss is there, what a joke) . But if we're going to talk about the drinking, we need to address the heavy dark hair girl along with her little skinny side kick. I've been told the skinny one has been there many many years, she is not a problem until she starts drinking with the heavy girl. The more I come to this bar the more I have learned what days and nights to come in for good service. There is a long dark hair girl in the day, Naquita??(I remember because it's such a unique name) , she is a sweetheart. Always goes above and beyond to make sure I have a great experience. The short blonde night barmaid is awesome as well. She always makes me laugh and I enjoy my time when she is there. Along with the boss... I believe his family owns this place. He is a great man. The others however need a serious talking to before they run this place down. I really don't want to see that happen. read more

I visited on two occasions the first, with my co- works (who are also of color) we ordered simple things we sat in there our whole break the bar was fairly empty but the people who came in after us received there food first when we asked after an hour how much longer the server was rude.....the second time was with my boyfriend we needed a de-stress night decided to have a close drink we opened a tab I had 3 drinks he had 2, as the night went on I went to the car to get something out my purse( I'm sure woman know)while my boyfriend stayed inside I guess he got up to use the rest room while I was outside, I turn around its a guy following me talking about pay your tab ???????????? he was very cruel I said we are not leaving and further more my old man is still inside why are u chasing me.....ugg he said some choice racial words at which time I went back in to look for my guy I sat down as he was in the rest room and I told him what happen he was not happy needless to say I used the rest room and we left .....and just to let every one know our tab was 16 bucks......I was so hurt by the way we were treated both times ..;.....think again if u want to vist this place ......I encourage you to go spend your money somewhere else read more

I love this place! Great atmosphere, great service and great food. The bartenders are very friendly and fun to be around. The portions are huge for the prices. They also have a back bar where you can have parties away from other patrons so it could be more personal. Outside patio for smokers or if you just want some fresh air. Lots of seating and in the back there are pool tables and dart boards in the second bar. Tons of tv and a large projector screen perfect for watching your favorite sports team. read more
