It was a big job!
Fran H.

Windy City Rooter performed an in-depth sewer inspection separate from our regular home inspection as we suspected there might be a sewer problem. In fact, there was a sewer break and they were able to visualize the issue using a camera snaked through the sewer line. We were able to negotiate a pricing concession before closing. Since then, we closed on the house and scheduled the work. Windy City handled the permits and was able to schedule the work promptly. The crew was great! They kept us informed along the way and were respectful of our neighbors. Many thanks to them for a job well done.

I posted my review on their Facebook page but was blocked by the company and so was my husband. Not only that, we were sent a cease and desist to take down our review! So I wanted to come on here just to tell our story. I've also added time stamps from the video I took and I screenshot of my schedule that day. I scratched off my coworkers and clients for privacy. Probably the first time I would ever post something like this, but wow are we disappointed at the work done at our house! My biggest issue is just how unprofessional and disrespectful the owner Max was speaking to us about the whole situation. When Mark called to tell him he wasn't satisfied with the work that was done he called our basement "hillbilly shit". Mark was also down in the basement with his workers before the job started and he turned to his employees (hard to type out but I want people to know) and said "I don't want this to look like n*gger work". He continued to raise his voice and yell at Mark when we just wanted all the issues resolved, which it wasn't, they asked for another 17k to fix the rest of the situation on top of the 13k that was already spent. Not only was the issue not resolved but our basement and lawn looks like a war zone! I'm sure they will come and attack me on this post because after reading the negative reviews that seems to be the course they take. Mark and I both work with the public and service industry and would never disrespect our clients like this.

Nice work, very professional. Fair price, although plumbing work is not cheap, I could not repair this leak in the wall.

Max and team came out same day and traced the lines with a locator and dug where their rodder got stuck.

The Plumbers at Collet & Ano - Stay Away!…read more We started to have an issue with a strong smell coming from a toilet area. So, we began a search in the Antioch area for a great plumber. We went thru an Internet search and found Colett & Ano Plumbers in Antioch. So, impressed by their 5-star reviews (who wrote them?) and that they were veterans, I called and set an appointment to have them come and look at the toilet. One plumber came and my wife had ACTUALLY to stop him at the door, as he showed no inclination to take off his boots or put on water-proof booties. STRIKE #1 (not professional). It was concluded that the toilet needed a new wax ring (actually needed to double packed (two) wax rings), which he did and then left. Well, later that afternoon, I went and checked on the toilet area and there was water everywhere on the floor! I immediately called the office and talked to a manger/owner and he said he didn't have anyone available to come over because they had a bigger job in town. STRIKE #2 (Small customers come ...second). So, they called back and we set a time for them to come in at 9:00 the next morning. I turned off the water to the toilet because a small, but, steady stream of water was dripping and spraying and covering the floor and then wiped up the water. Well, the next morning, they called at 9:30 saying someone was on the way and was about :30-:45 minutes away. STRIKE #3 (Not on-time and didn't respect our time). As I looked at the toilet before they arrived, I noticed that the previous plumber had cracked a tile right behind the toilet (my wife noticed it, too), which I mentioned to the TWO plumbers who showed up to fix the leaking-water-issue. STRIKE #4 (they are going to fix the tile, right?) AGAIN, my wife had to stop them from walking thru the house with their boots on. STRIKE #5.... (I have never had ANYONE who was providing service to any of the homes I have owned to not take off their shoes or put booties on before entering the home). So, they came up and looked at the toilet and saw that somewhere during the process of the FIRST plumber "fixing the problem", the screw-gaskets that connected the water tank to the toilet bowl had become loosened and water was leaking and spraying everywhere. (How did the first plumper not see this?) So, they re-tightened them and packed up their single screw-driver. I also reminded them about the cracked tile and wanted to hear from their manager as to how he was going to fix that. STRIKE #6. So, they left and we NEVER heard back from them until we got a copy of the bill. No "courtesy call to check an see if we were happy with the work and to address the cracked tile". On the bill, the manager implied that the tile was ALREADY cracked and that he was going to believe his "valued and trusted" employee's story and not fix the tile. In turn, he insulted me and my wife and implied that "...that was that...case closed" (Basically, trying to blow us off. How VERY professional) . DOUBLE STRIKE #7. We are senior citizens and on fixed incomes and the fact that the management of this company was not willing to side with a NEW customer and offer to fix the issue was pathetic and totally un-professional. STRIKE #8. On top of all of this, after it happened, the original issue of the strong smell in the toilet has NOT gone away. Yes, you read that right, the smell is still there....and we are out $150.00. So, a word to the wise: DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE should you call and hire these un-professionals at Collet & Ano in Antioch because with them, the "customer is not right"....the customer is someone to take advantage of. I ESPECIALLY caution Senior Citizens or hard working people to NOT give these people your money and your business.... they don't back-up their work and only want your money. STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY, STAY AWAY ... from Collett & Ano Plumbing. In the end, they never fixed the problem, we still have a smelly toilet we need to have to fix, we are out $150.00 (a lot of money to a senior citizen) and they left us with a cracked tile behind the toilet. What true un-professionals....

I needed a new comfort height toilet. My current one was quite old and leaking at the floor. And…read morethe flushing mechanism was very corroded and difficult to use. They arrived exactly at the appointment time and had the toilet installed in half an hour. The guys were very polite and answered all my questions. I had also thought I needed a new water heater. Upon inspection I was told I could easily wait several more years before the replacement. I very much appreciate the honesty; I'm sure most other companies would have just gone ahead. I highly recommend C&A. I have used them in the past and will continue to do so. Paul W. Preston Bristol, WI.
