Excellent service and fast installation. Totally recommend them. They have been doing this for over 30 years. They know what they're doing.

As a son whose parents have always been independent and living on their own, I was not aware of how…read moreto navigate help for my parents. After my dad's stay in the hospital I was at a lose of how to provide the best options for my parents. The hospital gave me a list (too many on that list) and I called and emailed too many companies. What a education! I narrowed down my list to three, in my researching I learned a lot of companies don't hire their own staff, there is not training and there is no state oversight. Once I learned this I choose 3 and met with each company, interviewed caregivers and we made our decision. They have been in business for over 25 years, they are licensed with the State and we have a nurse supervisor to count on if and when we need additional help or support. We chose LifeStyle Options because, they were professional on the phone, they sent out a nurse to assess my father, (free of charge) and developed a plan that both my parents could agree to. That isn't always easy. We have had care for over 3 months now and Dad and Mom are both happy, Dad is recovering nicely and it takes the anxiety off my parents and family to know that someone is showing up each day to assist my parents. It has been a very good experience and I would recommend LifeStyle Options, Inc. to anyone who is seeking help and companionship for their family, themselves or friends. Thank you for providing my family with peace of mind and we know we can trust your company.

Very disappointed. I called today to ask about the meal preparation plan as advertised on their…read morewebsite. I have a 92 year old relative who we are seeking a caregiver to come in to prepare meals for. I called this group because they are affiliated with Journey Care and Journey Care was wonderful in how they cared for my mother as she transitioned. Everyone to include the people that answered the phones the nurses and the social worker. I didnt expect to be treated so abruptly by a woman named Cheryl. I told her the reason for my call that I was looking for food preparation and she said is that all? That took me back because every other place I called immediately began to tell me about what they offered. She told me to call Meals on Wheels. She then blurted out 4 hour minimum. Geez we never even had a discussion about anything. She then told me that she had no teams in his area. Before I hung up I wanted her to know how unpleasant she was. I wanted her to know just how opposite she was in comparison to the Journey Care employees. Customer care is very important no matter what company you work for but people are not calling caregiver services for their sick and elderly family members for a joyous reason.

I spoke to Erica, the community liaison, who was very helpful & got someone to come out within two short days. The nurse Ursula was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly patient & knowledgeable. She then helped us find another affordable option through our township, which was a godsend. We wouldn't have discovered this if it weren't for Ursula genuinely wanting to help us. We couldn't be more grateful. Highly recommend them. Very caring and supportive.

Awful. I am simply going to state facts here, and you can judge for yourself what you think of…read moreBright Star. First of all, they were suggested to me by the Kenneth Young center, which I find odd in retrospect. I was told at the start that every attempt would be made to achieve consistency. But suspiciously, I was discouraged by Ursula the nurse to try to meet any of the caregivers to give them a tour of where things are in my 88 year old mother's house. Then I found out why: Over a period of about 2 and a half months my mom has had 15 or more different people coming to her house. Her schedule is by no means demanding: Just 4 hours 6 nights a week and 5 hours two days a week. 2 or 3 people should easily be able to cover such a schedule. I never realized the vast amount of different people because all the invoices come 2 weeks after the date. One woman seemed to come regularly and my mom liked her and the caregiver knew what to do, but often it was some new person filling in a shift who a) my mom didn't know and b) didn't know what to do or how to do it. About four times no one showed up at all, and once a woman left early because she had to drive to another town to care for someone. Because of the inconsistency of staff, the quality of work really suffered. I think they tried and it certainly wasn't the caregiver's fault, but they just had no idea what was going on. More importantly, it really soured my mom on having caregivers come at all because it was like being invaded by an unhelpful stranger all the time. I complained about this to the manager and she told me they were understaffed and having a major crisis. Previous to that, I had complained about the inconsistency to Ursula and she told me the caregivers just picked up whatever shift they wanted and the managers had no control over it! This is not the impression I was given when we signed up. I feel I was lied to more or less. When I finally realized how many people were coming, I complained once again and was told in a vague way they would talk about it at their next meeting. All in all I complained to three of the upper management and they did absolutely nothing. In fact, there was a lot of passing of the buck. Home Instead is the company I switched to and they took the time to design a schedule with 3 caregivers for my mom. I'm sorry this business is having problems; perhaps the quality will improve when they lose enough clients. I called to cancel service and told them I'd be quitting in 2 days, the last day being Wednesday. Guess what, *no one* came to my mother's house that last day. I had to go help my mom on what should have been a day off.

We had gone through a lot with my dad before he passed away and so we knew what we wanted and what we didn't. Unfortunately, the informal network we used for my dad didn't have women caregivers so we were back to to square one. After doing a lot of research with the local senior center and online we called For Papa's Sake, which is based out of the town next to where my mom lives. From the very first phone call I suspected we had gotten lucky. After a couple of calls and some group discussion between me, my mom and a For Papa's Sake senior person we decided we'd try them out. And am I glad we did. They listened to my mom's and my requests, likes, dislikes, deal-breakers etc. and they never batted an eye. They did say it might take a bit longer than usual (given our needs) to find the right care giver, but they called back in less than 5 days and we had a care giver within 10 days to 2 weeks of that 1st main discussion. That care giver has worked out so well. It has really improved our lives and I can go days without worrying about my mom...what a relief. That's what For Papa's Sake provides: relief! If you are looking for an alternative to a nursing home or aged care facility or whatever you want to call it, For Papa's Sake really cares and I would encourage you to give them a call. They have worked out great for us and I would not recommend them for something so important if they weren't doing a great job.
